Seismitoad is all about role compression— its immunity to Water- and Electric-type attacks alongside its access to Stealth Rock and Toxic makes it a great defensive pivot to threats such as Dracovish, Rotom-W, and Rotom-H. Scald is Seismitoad's primary attack to prevent it from being too passive versus physical attackers that could otherwise switch in and attempt to set up on Seismitoad such as Substitute Gyarados. Earthquake is slightly preferred over Earth Power, since it does more damage to Tyranitar while still providing another STAB option. Toxic allows Seismitoad to cripple other bulky Water-types such as Jellicent and Gastrodon as well as Mandibuzz, which can threaten to remove Stealth Rock with Defog.

Keeping Toxic Spikes off the field is important for Seismitoad to absorb incoming threats reliably. Excadrill is a great spinner that appreciates Seismitoad's ability to switch into most bulky Water-types without many issues while crippling them with Toxic. Excadrill can also be paired with Tyranitar, forming a potent sand core with Seismitoad. Mandibuzz and Corviknight are also options that can clear Toxic Spikes with Defog. Clefable is a great partner thanks to its ability to provide Wish support and prevent Hydreigon from setting up too freely. Seismitoad's use of Stealth Rock also frees Clefable to use Thunder Wave to cripple switch-ins or a coverage move to prevent it from being too passive.

[SET COMMENTS]
Seismitoad has a few niches for rain archetypes thanks to its access to Stealth Rock and its Ground typing blocking Rotom-W and Rotom-H's Volt Switch. Hydro Pump is Seismitoad's strongest STAB move and should be used under most circumstances such as against Togekiss and Corviknight. Earth Power will hit opposing Seismitoad and Toxapex with 100% accuracy. Focus Blast dents Ferrothorn, which is a common nuisance for a lot of rain archetypes, as well as Hydreigon. A Modest nature with Life Orb gives Seismitoad the most power possible, OHKOing Hydreigon with Focus Blast after Stealth Rock most of the time. Modest also lets Seismitoad 2HKO Mandibuzz most of the time with Hydro Pump in rain. During rain, Seismitoad will outspeed Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan and Jolly Excadrill after using Rapid Spin.

Seismitoad is mostly used as a supporter and not as an offensive sweeper. Thanks to Drizzle and U-turn, Pelipper is essential to rain teams, which this Seismitoad set fits on. Ferrothorn is a nice compliment to rain teams, since it can take boosted Water-type attacks and supply rain teams with Spikes support. Dreadnaw, Barraskewda, and Dracovish are great options to provide rain teams with extra wallbreaking power. Gyarados can be a dangerous setup sweeper for a lot of rain teams, since it is fairly self-sufficient with Moxie and Max Airstream while also appreciating Stealth Rock support from Seismitoad.

Seismitoad is all about compression - its immunity to Water- and Electric-type attacks while having access to Stealth Rock and Toxic make it a great defensive pivot to threats such as Dracovish, Rotom-W, and Gastrodon Rotom-H. You don't really want to be switching into Gastrodon consistently with Seismitoad and it can completely shut down Rotom-H, so I think that that's a better example. Scald is your primary attack to prevent Seismitoad from being too passive versus physical attackers that may switch in and attempt to set up on Seismitoad such as Substitute Gyarados. Earthquake is slightly preferred over Earth Power since it does more to Tyranitar while still providing another STAB. Toxic prevents Seismitoad from being too passive against other bulky Water-types such as Jellicent and Gastrodon while also crippling Mandibuzz which can threaten to remove Stealth Rock with Defog.

Keeping Toxic Spikes off the field is important for Seismitoad to reliably absorb incoming threats. Excadrill is a great spinner that appreciates Seismitoad being able to switch into most bulky Water-types without many issues while crippling them with Toxic. In exchange Excadrill can also be paired with Tyranitar and be a potent sand core with Seismitoad. Mandibuzz and Corviknight are also options that can clear Toxic Spikes with Defog. Clefable is a great partner thanks to Wish while also being a Pokemon that can prevent Hydreigon from going too far with free setup. With Seismitoad laying Stealth Rock it frees Clefable to use Thunder Wave to cripple switch-ins or a coverage move to prevent it from being too passive. If using Seismitoad in a more defensive core Ditto is a great partner that can take advantage of many of the Dynamax sweepers that may threaten Seismitoad (once their Substitute is broken, of course) and attempt to reverse the sweep against the opponent. This section was getting a bit too long and this is easily the least notable of the bunch, so I think it should be removed.

Seismitoad has a few niches for Rain archetypes thanks to its Ground-typing and access to Stealth Rock. Hydro Pump is Seismitoad's strongest STAB in the rain and should be used under most circumstances. A few examples of the Pokemon that it threatens would be nice. Earth Power will hit opposing Seismitoads and Toxapex while being 100% accurate. Focus Blast is for Ferrothorn, which is a common nuisance for a lot of rain archetypes, and also hits Hydreigon. A Modest nature with Life Orb gives Seismitoad the most power. One or two examples of important KOes that it attains with a Modest nature should be mentioned here. During rain Seismitoad will outspeed Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan and Jolly Excadrill after using Rapid Spin.

Seismitoad is mostly used as support first and foremost and not as an offensive sweeper. Thanks to Drizzle and U-turn, Pelliper is the bread-and-butter to rain teams with Seismitoad. Ferrothorn is a nice compliment to rain teams since it can take boosted Water-type attacks, and supply rain teams with Spikes support. Dreadnaw, Barraskewda, and Dracovish are great options to place in rain teams for extra breaking power. Gyarados can be a dangerous setup sweeper for a lot of rain teams to use since it is fairly self-sufficient with Moxie and Max Airstream while also appreciating Stealth Rock support from Seismitoad.
Good job, 1/2.

[SET COMMENTS - DEFENSIVE]
  • I'm being nitpicky as fuck here but this sentence: "Scald is your primary attack to prevent Seismitoad from being too passive versus physical attackers that may switch in and attempt to set up on Seismitoad such as Substitute Gyarados", I feel like you can reword this to "physical attackers could otherwise switch in and attempt to set up on Seismitoad", as the former gives the impression these Pokémon WILL try to switch in on Seismitoad to set up, while the former makes it clear that no one switches a physical attacker on Scald Seismitoad, but if Seismitoad were to lack the move then it would be completely helpless against said Pokémon. Like I said super nitpicky but I think it's a change worth making.
[SET COMMENTS - OFFENSIVE]
  • Expand a bit more about its Electric immunity, I think it's super important so both Rotom don't just Volt Switch around all over.
  • "Corviknjght" njce spelljng bro.
Excellent work!

Seismitoad is all about role compression— - (RH) its immunity to Water- and Electric-type attacks while having alongside its access to Stealth Rock and Toxic make makes it a great defensive pivot to threats such as Dracovish, Rotom-W, and Rotom-H. Scald is your Seismitoad's primary attack to prevent Seismitoad it from being too passive versus physical attackers that could otherwise switch in and attempt to set up on Seismitoad such as Substitute Gyarados. Earthquake is slightly preferred over Earth Power, (AC) since it does more damage to Tyranitar while still providing another STAB option. Toxic prevents allows Seismitoad from being too passive against to cripple (repetition) other bulky Water-types such as Jellicent and Gastrodon while also crippling as well as Mandibuzz, (AC) which can threaten to remove Stealth Rock with Defog.

Keeping Toxic Spikes off the field is important for Seismitoad to reliably absorb incoming threats reliably. (split infinitive) Excadrill is a great spinner that appreciates Seismitoad's ability being able (subjective change) to switch into most bulky Water-types without many issues while crippling them with Toxic. In exchange Excadrill can also be paired with Tyranitar, forming and be a potent sand core with Seismitoad. Mandibuzz and Corviknight are also options that can clear Toxic Spikes with Defog. Clefable is a great partner thanks to its ability to provide Wish while also being a Pokemon that can support and prevent Hydreigon from going too far with free setup setting up too freely. (phrasing) With Seismitoad's use of laying Stealth Rock it also frees Clefable to use Thunder Wave to cripple switch-ins or a coverage move to prevent it from being too passive.

Seismitoad has a few niches for Rain rain archetypes thanks to its access to Stealth Rock and its Ground-(RH) typing blocking Rotom-W and Rotom-H's Volt Switches and access to Stealth Rock. Hydro Pump is Seismitoad's strongest STAB move in the rain (It's Seismitoad's strongest STAB move in general) and should be used under most circumstances such as against Togekiss and Corviknight. Earth Power will hit opposing Seismitoads and Toxapex while being with 100% accurate accuracy. ("while being 100% accurate" -> "with 100% accuracy" is a subjective change) Focus Blast is for dents Ferrothorn, which is a common nuisance for a lot of rain archetypes, and also hits as well as Hydreigon. A Modest nature with Life Orb gives Seismitoad the most power possible, while OHKOing Hydreigon, after Stealth Rock, with Focus Blast after Stealth Rock most of the time. Seismitoad is mostly used as a supporter first and foremost and not as an offensive sweeper. Thanks to Drizzle and U-turn, Pelliper Pelipper is the bread-and-butter essential (I'd allow this phrasing in The Flying Press) to rain teams, which this with Seismitoad set fits on. (Is this correct>) Ferrothorn is a nice compliment to rain teams, (AC) since it can take boosted Water-type attacks, (RC) and supply rain teams with Spikes support. Dreadnaw, Barraskewda, and Dracovish are great options to place in provide rain teams for with extra wallbreaking (Is this right?) power. Gyarados can be a dangerous setup sweeper for a lot of rain teams, (AC) to use since it is fairly self-sufficient with Moxie and Max Airstream while also appreciating Stealth Rock support from Seismitoad.
