- Knock Off / Giga Impact

[SET COMMENTS]

With its sky-high Attack stat further bolstered by Swords Dance, Kartana serves as a threatening setup sweeper. Sacred Sword hits foes such as Ferrothorn and Heatran, while Knock Off hits Galarian Slowking and Iron Crown as well as removes Heavy-Duty Boots from Flying-types like Tornadus-T and Zapdos. Giga Impact is used with Normalium Z to OHKO foes like Raging Bolt, Gouging Fire, and Zapdos after a Swords Dance. Fightinium Z allows unboosted Kartana to OHKO Heatran and Ferrothorn along with Mega Scizor, Mega Mawile, Corviknight, and Raging Bolt after a boost. Synthesis is an option to give Kartana longevity, allowing it to threaten to wallbreak multiple times per game. Grassium Z is another option for a strong STAB move once boosted, but it has less applications than the aforementioned items. A set with Protective Pads and Tera Dark can be used as well, but Kartana without a Z-Move is usually undesirable. Teammates like Iron Boulder and Gouging Fire appreciate Kartana's ability to force chip damage onto Pokemon like Landorus-T, letting them eventually power through these Pokemon late-game. Kartana is prone to getting revenge killed by offensive threats like Darkrai, Iron Valiant, and Zamazenta; as such, bulky Pokemon like Galarian Slowking and Zamazenta can check the aforementioned threats and open pathways for Kartana to sweep. In return, Kartana can threaten Gliscor and Alomomola for its partners. Speed control options like Mega Lopunny and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele are also good teammates, as they can revenge kill Pokemon like Darkrai and Iron Valiant while also forming a strong offensive core with Kartana.

Kartana is a terrifying maybe use a different adjective here; its speed tier makes it super exploitable and it will rarely sweep. it's more of a wallbreaker sweeper, boasting a sky-high Attack stat alongside a decent Speed stat and good coverage. Sacred Sword hits foes such as Ferrothorn and Heatran, while Knock Off hits Galarian Slowking and Iron Crown as well as removing Heavy-Duty Boots from Flying-types like Tornadus-T and Zapdos. Giga Impact is used with Normalium Z to be able to OHKO foes like Raging Bolt, Toxapex Gouging Fire, and Zapdos after a Swords Dance. Fightinium Z should be used if Knock Off is chosen over Giga Impact you arent necessarily using it for this reason, fightinium is an independent option with its own pros and cons (most notably destroying msciz and corv) as it's capable of OHKOing Heatran and Ferrothorn at +0 and Mega Scizor and Mega Mawile at +2. hits corv too + still guarantees ohko on rbolt Teammates like Iron Boulder and Gouging Fire appreciate Kartana's ability to force chip onto Pokemon like Landorus-T, letting them eventually power through it in the endgame. Kartana can struggle with getting revenge killed by offensive threats like Zamazenta, Darkrai, and Iron Valiant so having a strong defensive backbone with teammates such as Landorus-T and Rotom-W is appreciated segue this line and mention some favorable matchups these 2 pivot kart in on. Kartana is very frail so pivots that can help it switch in safely such as Galarian Slowking and the aforementioned Landorus-T make for good partners.

Fightinium Z allows Kartana to OHKO Heatran and Ferrothorn at +0 unboosted along with Mega Scizor, Mega Mawile, Corviknight, and Raging Bolt at +2 boosted. Potentially mention Synthesis being usable? I think its legit Grassium Z is another option for a strong STAB move once boosted, but has less applications than the aforementioned items. A set with Protective Pads and Tera Dark can be used as well, but Kartana without a Z-Move is usually undesirable. Teammates like Iron Boulder and Gouging Fire appreciate Kartana's ability to force chip onto Pokemon like Landorus-T, letting them eventually power through it in the endgame. Kartana can struggle with getting revenge killed by offensive threats like Darkrai, Iron Valiant, and opposing Zamazenta so defensive pivots such as Landorus-T and Rotom-W These give Kartana opportunities to come in but don't check the revenge killers..make this two sentences like so that can pivot on Pokemon like Gliscor, Ferrothorn, and opposing Rotom-W to help bring Kartana in safely are appreciate. as such, bulky Pokemon like Galarian Slowking and Zamazenta can check the aforementioned and open pathways for Kartana to sweep.
