With a Choice Scarf, Frillish outspeeds the entire unboosted metagame, becoming an excellent attacker and revenge killer with some surprise factor. Water Spout devastates most Pokemon when Frillish is at full health, while Hydro Pump deals less damage initially but is stronger at lower HP. Shadow Ball deals good damage to Psychic-types such as Abra and Natu, as well as opposing Frillish. Ice Beam can be used to hit Grass-types such as Grookey and Morerull. However, the fourth move slot is flexible. Trick can debilitate walls such as Ferroseed and Trace Porygon. Psychic can beat one of Frillish's checks, Mareanie, and also can deal heavy damage to Fighting-types.

Frillish does not enjoy entry hazards weakening Water Spout, so spinners such as Drilbur and Natu make excellent teammates. Dark-types and Knock Off users also naturally scare out Frillish, so Fighting-types such as Mienfoo and Timburr are useful. Trappers such as Trapinch trap Steel-types that can counter Frillish, such as Pawniard. Grookey and Ferroseed completely counter Frillish, so Fire-types such as Ponyta, and Poison-types such as Koffing, are helpful teamates.

Shadow Ball is Frillish's second STAB move,(RC) dealing deals good damage to Psychic-types such as Abra and Natu.(I would add some Water-resistant targets that this hits) Trick can cripple walls such as Koffing and Ferroseed, however Ice Beam can be used to hit grass types such as Grookey and Morerull. (Ice Beam is gonna be the sole 4th move, and please fix the GP errors in this sentence.)

I would mention Natu instead.) Dark-Types and Knock Off users also naturally scare out Frillish, so Fighting-types such as Mienfoo and Timburr.(Finish this sentence) Timburr is notable as it also has Defog, letting it preform the role of a Knock Off absorber and a entry hazard remover.(I don't completely understand this emphasis on Timburr.) Grookey and Ferroseed completely counter Frillish, so Fire-types such as Ponyta, who threaten Grass-types and Poison-types, such as Koffing who can check Grass-types are helpful teamates.
