Rillaboom's combination of Grassy Glide and Grassy Surge makes it a reliable revenge killer, pressuring faster threats like Mega Lopunny, Mega Medicham, Garchomp, Barraskewda, and Iron Valiant. It also possesses great utility thanks to U-turn and Knock Off. Wood Hammer is Rillaboom's strongest STAB move, dealing massive damage to all non-resistant foes. Knock Off catches would-be checks like Tornadus-T and Zapdos on the switch, getting rid of their item at the same time. Superpower hits Steel-types like Kingambit, Heatran, and Ferrothorn. Tera Grass makes Rillaboom even more threatening; with Terrain-boosted Grassy Glide, it becomes near unstoppable, 2HKOing Tornadus-T after Stealth Rock. Rillaboom fits best on bulky offense teams, which appreciate speed control in Grassy Glide. Grassy Terrain sweepers like Hawlucha and Choice Scarf Kartana appreciate Rillaboom weakening their common checks—namely Zapdos, Tornadus-T, and Corviknight—so they can clean late-game. Magnezone is a standout partner for Rillaboom, as it can trap and remove Steel-types like Corviknight, Skarmory, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn, letting Rillaboom clean more easily. Heatran appreciates Rillaboom's Grassy Terrain giving it passive recovery and weakening Earthquake from the likes of Galarian Slowking. In return, Heatran pressures Rillaboom's checks, such as Buzzwole, Corviknight, Volcarona, Skarmory, and Skeledirge, (ac) while also providing Stealth Rock and checking Tornadus-T.

[SET COMMENTS]

Thanks to Grassy Glide and Grassy Surge, Rillaboom forces many switches against Pokemon like Rotom-W and Urshifu-R, meaning it can safely set up with Swords Dance to threaten the opposing team. Knock Off punishes its checks, like Zapdos and Tornadus-T. Superpower allows Rillaboom to threaten Steel-types like Heatran, Kingambit, and Ferrothorn, while Wood Hammer does massive damage to all neutral threats, even without a boost. The given EV spread allows Rillaboom to outspeed Mega Tyranitar while maximizing its bulk. The added bulk maximizes Rillaboom’s longevity, helping it perform long-term and deal with other terrain setters, like Tapu Lele. Life Orb gives Rillaboom a chance to OHKO offensive Tornadus-T with Tera Grass-boosted Grassy Glide, with its recoil being negated by the Grassy Terrain. On the other hand, Leftovers provides increased longevity for Rillaboom, allowing it to setup multiple times throughout a game. Tera Grass gives Rillaboom an even stronger Grassy Glide, allowing it to storm through most offensive teams that have limited resistances to it. Some Flying-resistant Tera types such as Steel and Electric can punish Zapdos and Tornadus-T, but they are usually suboptimal and don't benefit Rillaboom's offensive power. Magnezone works well with this set, as it can trap and remove Steel-types like Corviknight, Skarmory, and Mega Scizor. Hawlucha is a good partner as well, as Grassy Seed will activate Hawlucha's Unburden thanks to Grassy Terrain and Rillaboom can weaken their common check in Zapdos so it can clean late-game. Since Superpower weakens Steel-types, Pokemon like Weavile and Mega Mawile pair well with Rillaboom. The latter also appreciates Grassy Terrain, as it softens Earthquake from the likes of Gliscor and Landorus-T.

Rillaboom's access to Grassy Glide and Grassy Surges makes it a reliable revenge killer, being able to threaten pressure faster threats like Mega Lopunny, Mega Medicham, Garchomp, and Barraskewda would be worth adding Iron Valiant to this list. It also possesses great utility thanks to U-turn and Knock Off. Wood Hammer is Rillaboom's strongest STAB move, being able to deal massive damages to all non resistant foes. Knock Off catches would it be checks like Tornadus-T and Zapdos on the switch, getting rid of their item in the same time. Superpower helps Rillaboom dealing with Steel-types like Kingambit, Heatran, (ac) and Ferrothorn. Tera Grass makes Rillaboom even more threatening, giving it Adaptability, and paired with Terrain-boosted Grassy Glide it becomes near unstoppable, being able to 2HKO Tornadus-T after Stealth Rocks (sounds a little underwhelming given Torn needs to take rocks damage first). Rillaboom fits best in bulky offenses teams that appreciates the provided Speed Control thanks to Grassy Glide. Grassy Terrain abusers like Hawlucha and Choice Scarf Kartana appreciate Rillaboom's ability to weaken their common checks in order to help them cleaning. Magnezone is a standout partner for Rillaboom, as it can trap and remove Steel-types like Corviknight, Skarmory, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn, helping Rillaboom performing its role letting Rillaboom clean more easily. Heatran appreciates Rillaboom's Grassy Terrain, giving it passive recovery and weakening Earthquake from the likes of Slowking-G (is GKing prominent in NDOU? Worth mentioning?). In return, Heatran pressures and abuses Rillaboom's common checks, being Buzzwole, Corviknight, and Skarmory, Bulkarona, Zard Y (optionally Dirge) while also providing Stealth Rocks and checking Tornadus-T and Zapdos.

Thanks to Grassy Glide and Grassy Surge, Rillaboom forces many switches out against Pokemon like Rotom-W and Urshifu-R, meaning it can safely setup a with Swords Dance to threaten the opposing team. Knock Off removes the item of its checks, like Zapdos and Tornadus-T. Superpower allows Rillaboom to threaten Steel types like Heatran, Mega Scizor on the switch (or consider removing Mega Scizor altogether and replacing with Kingambit), and Ferrothorn, while Wood Hammer does massive amounts of damages to all neutral threads, even without a boost. The given EV spread allows Rillaboom to outspeed Mega Tyranitar while maximising its bulk. The added bulk helps against other terrain setters, such as Tapu Lele (and in general to maximize its longevity and remain a threat throughout the game). Life Orb gives Rillaboom a chance to OHKO offensive Tornadus-T with Tera Grass (I don't feel this is worth running Life Orb for), and its counterpart is balanced by the Grassy Terrain. On the other hand, Leftovers enables a better staying power for Rillaboom, allowing it to setup multiples Swords Dance times throughout the game. Tera Grass gives Rillaboom an even stronger STAB, allowing it to storm through most offensive teams that has have limited resistances to boosted Grassy Glides. Some Flying-type resistant Teras, such as Steel and Electric, (rc) could be considered, (rc) in order to abuse Zapdos and Tornadus-T, but they are usually suboptimal and don't benefit Rillaboom's offensive power. Magnezone works really well with this Rillaboom's set, as it can trap and remove Steel-types like Corviknight, Skarmory and Mega Scizor. Hawlucha is a good partner as well, as Rillaboom can weaken their common check in Zapdos to let it have a shot at cleaning the opposing team while also activating Hawlucha's ability thanks to Grassy Surge. Since Superpower helps weakening Steel-types, Pokemon like Weavile and Mega Mawile pairs well with Rillaboom. The latter also appreciates Grassy Terrain, as it soften Earthquake from the likes of Gliscor and Landorus-T.

Mention

For both sets, I feel like you can expand on checks by discussing bulky Dragons like Dragonite, Baxcalibur that can turn Rilla into setup fodder, and bulky grasses like Tangrowth/Amoonguss that can sit on it. Perhaps Defensive Gholdengo as well. In terms of offensive partners, Mega Diancie is also worth a mention as it has the STAB+Coverage to help against Rilla's checks.
