Besides our multiple resources available on Smogon, Randbats is a project founded and mantained in the Pokemon Showdown simulator, and therefore, a lot of important and useful resources can be found there. Here we describe most of them:
  • The "/randbats" command, which can tell you what moves each Pokemon can run. Use "/rfaq sets" in the Random Battles room to see similar commands for other randomized formats such as BF or Doubles!
  • The "/rcalc" command, which gives an accurate Random Battles damage calc (Courtesy of Austin and Kris)!
  • The "/rwr" command, which gives details on the winrates of each Pokemon in random formats (Courtesy of Mia)!
  • This Chrome and Firefox browser extension adds a tooltip to Pokemon Showdown that shows additional set information such as possible items, abilities, stats, and moves when hovering over Pokémon (Courtesy of pre)!
  • The Randbats Set Odds API gives the probability of a set matching the inputted data for the given species. While not very relevant for competitive, it's very useful on a set development PoV (Courtesy of Mia)!
  • Try other room faqs in the Random Battles room to see relevant information such as relevant generation differences, what CC, Build-a-Bear, or HC stand for, and more! You can type "/rfaq" to get a list of all faqs available in the room.
  • Did you know that, besides the almost 30 Random Battles ladders, there are even more formats available on PS to be played by directly challenging a friend or in room tournaments? Here you have a list of those, divided between formats that you can see when challenging someone, and the ones that need to be manually inputted by using the "/challenge username, format" command (thanks Chains of Markov for gathering them all!):
On the challenges format list:
gen9doubleshackmonscup
gen9brokencup
gen9challengecup6v6
gen9multirandombattle
gen8cap1v1
gen8bdsprandombattle
gen7bssfactory
gen7hackmonscup
gen7letsgorandombattle
gen8metronomebattle
gen9randomroulette

Available using the challenge command:
gen7randomdoublesbattle
gen6battlefactory
gen1challengecup
gen1hackmonscup
