Resource Random Battles Changelog

February 19, 2021:
- Rhydon is now available in Gen 8 Random Battle! It's level 88 and has a movepool of Earthquake, Megahorn, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, and Toxic.
- Water-type Pokémon will always receive Liquidation if it is in their movepool.
- Trick Room will not appear on movesets alongside speed setup moves.
- Lucario's moveset has been tweaked to make Meteor Mash more likely and Ice Punch less likely.
- Leech Seed will not be given to setup Pokémon.
- Dragon Dance Salamence sets will no longer have Intimidate (Moxie is more useful for a setup sweeper).
- Inteleon will have Torrent, but Inteleon-Gmax will have Sniper.
- Pincurchin will always have a Shuca Berry.
- Glalie will receive Leftovers instead of Heavy-Duty Boots.
- Gurdurr and Throh will always have Guts.
- Zacian, Zamazenta, and Eternatus will not appear as the sixth Pokémon of a team with Zoroark on it.
- A number of movepools have been tweaked; you can view those changes here.
February 21, 2021:
Some bug fixes for side formats have been implemented. Details on the bugs fixed/lessened can be found here. Structural changes will be listed below.
Gen 2 Random Battle:
- Quick Attack was removed from Tauros. All Tauros sets are now RestTalk.
Gen 3 Random Battle:
- Pokemon may now get Substitute + Toxic on the same set.
- Pokemon may now get Hidden Power as a coverage move on sets with Substitute, as long as the Pokemon also has a setup move or Toxic on the set. For example, Substitute + Calm Mind + Hidden Power Ice Entei now exists.
Gen 5 Random Battle:
- Bulky Pokemon like Bouffalant now no longer get Life Orb, and instead get Leftovers.

February 26, 2021:
- Genesect-Douse is now available in Gen 8 Random Battle! It's level 74 and has a movepool of Techno Blast (with a Douse Drive) plus three of Bug Buzz, Extreme Speed, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Iron Head, Thunderbolt, or U-turn.
- U-turn will no longer be a Pokémon's only STAB move.
- Dual Wingbeat was made possible to add to Dragon/Flying types, and has now been added to Dragonite and Salamence.
- Rillaboom in the lead slot will no longer receive Acrobatics.
- U-turn will be preferred over Leech Life for non-setup Pokémon.
- A number of movepools have been tweaked; you can view those changes here.
- Many setup sweepers with mixed moves in their movepool, like Virizion, had unintended sets removed.
- Substitute now prevents Pokemon from getting a Lum Berry. Zygarde now gets Leftovers.
- Substitute + 3 Attacks sets will no longer occur on Pokemon with a potential setup move.
- Several other bugs were fixed here.

March 5, 2021:
- Golisopod will always receive a Bug-type move (either Leech Life or First Impression).
- In Random Doubles, First Impression will not appear in the same moveset as Swords Dance (or other physical setup moves).
- Teleport + Stealth Rock will no longer appear in the same moveset.
- Protection moves and Substitute will now appear together with Leech Seed more often.
- In Singles, Charizard will have Solar Power as its ability, not Blaze.
- In Singles, Magnezone sets with Mirror Coat will have the Analytic ability.
- Pokémon with Aerial Ace can now get Choice Scarf.
- Levels for both Singles and Doubles have been tweaked based on winrates, and some movepools have been adjusted. You can view those changes here.
March 11, 2021:
- Grassy Glide will be properly forced onto Grass-type Pokémon that have it.
- Stored Power will be found on Polteageist, and Comfey will not get Stored Power together with U-Turn.
- Naganadel will not get Air Slash on Nasty Plot sets.
- Magnezone's abilities will go back to the way the were prior to March 5.
- Pokémon with Steelworker will have Steel-type moves forced (as "STAB" of a sort).
- In No Dmax, Skarmory will have Sturdy, not Weak Armor.
- In No Dmax, untiered and NFE Pokémon will be level 88, not 90. (Most levels will be rebalanced at the end of March.)
- Movepools for Gen 3, Gen 6, Gen 7, and Gen 8 singles were all updated; you can view those changes here.
March 19, 2021:
- Dragon Tail will no longer be a Pokémon's only STAB move.
- Movepools for Gen 7 and 8 were updated.
- In Generation 8:
- Prevention of Physical moves on Special setup movesets and vice versa has been fixed.
- Solid Rock + Shell Smash Pokémon, such as Carracosta, will receive Weakness Policy.
- Pokémon with draining moves will no longer receive Focus Sash.
- In Generation 7:
- Setup movesets will no longer include the move Yawn.
- Protect will no longer appear with Whirlwind or Roar on movesets.
- Pokémon with Rain Dance or Drizzle will prefer Hurricane to Brave Bird.

All Gen 8 main formats:
-Fix a large bug regarding Grass-types where those above base 100 Attack would have messed up sets, and those below would always have Grass STAB even when they shouldn't. You know DD + U-turn Flapple? That's where that came from.
-Scizor will now not always have U-turn. That was an accident.
-Fix a bug where Pokemon with two equally viable abilities would get the second-listed ability 85% of the time. Ever wondered why Weak Armor Cursola pretty much never happens? That was why!
Gen 8 Random Battle:
-Prevent mixed choice item Victini by removing Trick.
-Prevent Dual Wingbeat + Roost on Scizor, now that that can actually exist.
Gen 8 Random Doubles Battle:
-Remove Dragon Dance and Phantom Force from Dragapult to prevent really, really bad sets like Dragon Dance, Will-O-Wisp, Shadow Ball, Protect.
-Revamp vespiquen. It's Tailwind Roost Toxic Spikes Air Slash now, a much less passive, more supportive set.
-Aromatisse now has a 50% chance to get Healer.
Gen 8 Random Battle (No Dmax):
-Allow Cloud Nine Golduck.
-Make Weak Armor possible on hazards Omastar, and more common on Cursola (In addition to the thing above! It should be properly 50/50 now.)
-Give Dragonite Roost over Extreme Speed, because recovery's pretty good when it's not Dynamaxing.
-An extremely rare bug that caused Seismitoad to sometimes get Poison Touch has been fixed.

- Dragon Dance is now properly marked as a speed-boosting move, meaning priority moves will be less likely to appear on Dragon Dance sets.
- Leech Seed will be more common in Gen 8.
- In Gen 4, Air Slash will always appear on Serene Grace Pokémon that contain it in their movepools.
- Movepools for Gen 4, 7, and 8 have been updated.
April 2, 2021: I adjusted levels in regular Gen 8 Random Battles, No Dynamax, and Doubles based on March's statistics.
April 9, 2021:
- I fixed the bug with STAB enforcement in 4-player modes.
- In Gen 6, Air Slash and Hurricane will not appear on the same moveset.
- In Gen 8:
- Outrage will be selected more often (always on Dragonite and Salamence).
- Doublade will always get Swords Dance.
- Gigantamax Alcremie will not get three attacks.
- Pokemon with Facade will not receive the Limber ability.
- Genesect's probability of occurring has been halved, to account for its two formes.
- Movepools for Gen 8 and Gen 6 were updated; view the changes here.
April 10, 2021:
- Dragon/Flying types with both moves will now always have Outrage, and not always have Dual Wingbeat.
- Neutralizing Gas no longer only and always appears on Toxic Spikes variants of Weezing and Galarian Weezing. The Weezings now generate one of Gas or Levitate at random.
- Porygon-Z now also has Nasty Plot instead of Agility in Gen 8 Random Battle, instead of just in No Dmax.
- Shift Gear + Extreme Speed Genesect can happen now.
- In No Dmax, regular Zacian and Dugtrio had their levels lowered to 72 and 84, respectively.
- In Doubles, Butterfree and Butterfree-Gmax were revamped. Butterfree has a support-focused set with Rage Powder and Tailwind, while Butterfree-Gmax runs a more offensive set with Quiver Dance.
May 1, 2021:
- Shift Gear + Boomburst Toxtricity sets will now receive Throat Spray as an item.
- Entry hazards are more likely to appear on Pokémon whose movepools include them. Specifically, Orbeetle, Shuckle, and Araquanid will always receive Sticky Web, unless they have a setup move.
- Levels for [Gen 8] Random Battle, [Gen 8] Random Battle (No Dmax), and [Gen 8] Random Doubles Battle have all been updated based on the April statistics. You can view the level changes here.
May 23, 2021:
- In Gen 6, priority moves will appear much less often, if at all, on sets containing any of the four speed-boosting moves Agility, Autotomize, Flame Charge, or Rock Polish.
- In Gen 8:
- Swords Dance Rapidash will always have at least two attacking moves.
- Gigantamax Cinderace is now available in Random Battles.
- Several Pokémon's movepools were altered for in Gen 8 and Gen 6; view those changes on GitHub.
June 25, 2021:
-Scyther with 4 Attacks now gets Choice Band instead of Heavy-Duty Boots.
-Solgaleo can get Flame Charge + Weakness Policy again. Its old sets will still exist, and the Flame Charge set cannot come with Flare Blitz.
-Several movepools have been altered, with the most important being the removal of Autotomize from Celesteela to fix the Leftovers Autotomize sets. You can see all of the movepool changes here.

July 1, 2021:
- In Gen 8, Dark Pulse's interaction with Defog and Sucker Punch in set generation now only applies to Shiftry. This makes Dark Pulse exist alongside these moves on Yveltal.
- In Gen 7, Meganium is now guaranteed to have a STAB move (Giga Drain).
- Several movepools were changed, and levels were rebalanced in light of the June 2021 statistics. Read the details here.

August 2, 2021:
- Some levels were updated based on winrates!
- In Gen 6:
- The list of moves considered STAB no longer includes Aqua Jet, Fake Out, Ice Shard, Mach Punch, Quick Attack, or Vacuum Wave.
- Hex + Shadow Ball Drifblim will no longer appear.
- In Gen 8:
- Scyther with 3 attacking moves will have the item Heavy-Duty Boots instead of Eviolite.
- Cinderace will appear half as frequently, since it has both a Gigantamax and normal form.
September 6, 2021:
- Several levels were altered (based on winrates) and some movepools have been changed.
- In Gen 8:
- The Soundproof ability is no longer preferred over Bulletproof and Overcoat.
- Shell Side Arm decreases Attack IVs by 8 instead of 4 on Choice Specs sets.
- In Gen 7:
- Xerneas's movepool was altered to ensure that Assault Vest is never the optimal item.
October 2, 2021:
- In Gen 8:
- Grass/Poison types are guaranteed to have at least one Poison STAB move
- Urshifu-Rapid-Strike will always have Surging Strikes
- Pokémon with Leftovers or Black Sludge will not have their HP EVs reduced for the sake of Berries or Power Construct
- Attack IVs and EVs will be 0 when Body Press is the only Physical move with a Base Power
- Several levels and movesets have been updated; read the details in the changelog.
November 7, 2021:
- In Gen 7, Rain Dance and Rest will be significantly less likely to appear together; Poliwrath will never have both moves on one set.
