move 4: Earthquake
item: Shed Shell / Leftovers
ability: Unaware
nature: Relaxed
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Quagsire is a great check to physical setup sweepers like Zacian-C and Excadrill, as it has solid bulk, ignores their stat boosts with Unaware, and isn't weak to their coverage moves. Stockpile lets it take on Dynamaxed Pokemon like non-Power Whip Gyarados without needing to Dynamax itself, reduces the need for it to use Recover, and, as opposed to Curse, makes it harder to force out for special attackers like Eternatus. Toxic can be used instead to punish Pokemon like Rotom-W more severely than with a Scald burn, but Stockpile is generally preferred. Scald punishes switch-ins like Ferrothorn with a burn. Earthquake allows Quagsire to hit Zacian-C and Eternatus for immediate damage. Shed Shell is the preferred item, since it prevents Quagsire from being trapped by Gothitelle, but Leftovers can come in handy to offset Spikes damage and lessen the need to use Recover.

Ferrothorn has solid defensive synergy with Quagsire, being able to check Gyarados well and trade Spikes with opposing Ferrothorn. Entry hazard removal is suggested, since Quagsire is vulnerable to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, which can, for example, put it in range of a 2HKO from Zacian-C. Corviknight can use Defog on Ferrothorn, while Excadrill can provide Rapid Spin support. If Quagsire is used on a sand team, Tyranitar is the preferred sand setter, since Quagsire has significant overlap with Hippowdon; Tyranitar also does a better job of handling special attackers like Eternatus that tend to overwhelm Quagsire. Swords Dance Zacian-C appreciates Quagsire's ability to wall Ditto that copy its stat boosts.

Slash Toxic with Stockpile - clerics are rare as hell and it helps vs other fat builds. I see some running Impish with speed evs to jump on pex but... its a poor idea for this area.

Zacian appreciates Quagsire's ability to Imposter-proof itself.
Ive only seen this term used in hackmons formats and never outside of it, and that was to mean "If Ditto copies this set, it can't use it against the mon it just copied", which makes no sense to relate it to Zacian. If this is just saying "Quagsire beats a copied Zacian-C", say something to that effect and why its beneficial.

I really think stockpile is a must have for quag, toxic could be slashed although i think the set you posted is the correct one.

Good writing overall, bigtalk. The main thing here to remember is to use a comma before "since" when it is used to mean "because".
