[OVERVIEW]
Palafin is a strong attacker with an exceptionally high Attack stat and good natural bulk. It fits best on priority spam and rain teams that can make use of Palafin's sky-high Attack stat and access to Wave Crash and Jet Punch. Palafin most commonly holds a Choice Band to maximize its damage output. Leftovers, Sitrus Berry, or Mystic Water can be used on Bulk Up sets as well. ) Palafin in its base forme has pitiful stats and needs to be pivoted out immediately. This puts very little immediate pressure on the opponent as a lead. Furthermore, it struggles with a lot of relevant Grass-type Pokemon, such as Amoonguss and Meowscarada. It enjoys being paired with Fire-types such as Arcanine and Chi-Yu that can remove Grass-types for it, as well as Steel-types like Kingambit and Gholdengo, which can switch in on Grass-type attacks and appreciate Palafin removing Ground- and Fire-types.

[SET]
name: Choice Band
move 1: Jet Punch
move 2: Flip Turn
move 3: Wave Crash
move 4: Ice Punch / Close Combat
item: Choice Band
ability: Zero to Hero
nature:Adamant / Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
tera type: Water / Grass

[SET COMMENTS]
*Jet Punch is a strong priority STAB move that lets Palafin deal with fast threats such as Chi-Yu and Volcarona.

*Wave Crash is a strong STAB attack that allows Palafin to hit slower targets such as Ting Lu and Great Tusk for massive damage

*Flip Turn allows you to get Palafin's base forme out of the battle to activate its ability, as well as act as a pivot move to keep up momentum in its Hero forme. Due to Palafin's pitiful base stats, it is very important you pivot it out as soon as possible to activate its ability.

*Ice Punch allows Palafin to hit relevant Grass- and Dragon-types that resist its STAB attacks, such as Amoonguss, Garchomp, and Dragonite. Close Combat allows Palafin to hit the plethora of Dark-types in the tier such as Chien-Pao and Kingambit for super effective damage.

*Choice Band allows Palafin to boost its already sky-high Attack stat even further, notably being able to OHKO Gholdengo with Wave Crash.

*Palafin uses an Adamant nature more commonly for the extra power boost, but Jolly can also be used to outspeed Adamant Palafin and speed tie with Chi-Yu. Alternatively, you can maximize Palafin's HP investment instead of Speed and opt for an Adamant nature to make use of Palafin's good bulk, but you sacrifice the ability to Speed tie with opposing Palafin.

*The Tera type of Water maximizes the damage Palafin can do with your STAB attacks. The Tera type of Grass lets Palafin resist Electric- and Grass-type moves as well as gain an immunity to Spore. This improves Palafin's matchups into Iron Hands and Amoonguss

Palafin can opt for an item like Leftovers or Sitrus Berry and use a Bulk Up set. This allows Palafin to act as a defensive win condition with Drain Punch for longevity and Jet Punch to remove weakened targets, but this set requires more support from its teammates to work than a Choice Band set would. Palafin can also use Mystic Water and use Protect instead of Flip Turn. This set gives Palafin the ability to switch moves and use Protect but has a noticeably lower damage output than Choice Band.

[OVERVIEW]

Palafin-Hero is a strong Water-type physical (You don’t need to mention its typing and that it’s a physical attacker) attacker with an exceptionally high Attack stat and good natural bulk. It that fits best on bulky pivot based priority spam and rain teams that can make use of Palafin's massive damage output to punch holes in the opposing team good natural bulk and access to Flip Turn to form pivot cores and allow it to more easily activate its ability (Palafin isn’t typically played as a pivot mon. More often than not you want to be clicking wave crash or jet punch) sky high Attack stat and access to Wave Crash and Jet Punch. Palafin most commonly holds a Choice Band to maximize it's its damage output, but more defensive items like Assault Vest can be used to put more emphasis on Palafin's bulk and good defensive typing of Water.(Assault vest isn’t a great item. You lose the power of choice band without the utility of taunt, encore or bulk up and av bundle also exists) and Leftovers, Sitrus Berry or Mystic Water can be used on Bulk Up sets as well. Palafin is not without flaws, however. Palafin in its base forme has pitiful stats and puts very little immediate pressure on the opponent as a lead. Furthermore, it struggles with a lot of relevant Grass-type Pokemon, such as Amoonguss and Meowscarada. Because of this, it enjoys being paired with Fire-types such as Arcanine, Skeledirge and Chi-Yu as well as Steel-types like Kingambit, Scizor and Gholdengo.

*Jet Punch is a strong priority STAB move that lets Palafin deal with fast threats such as Chi-Yu and Volcarona.

*Wave Crash is a strong STAB attack that allows you to hit slower targets such as Ting Lu and Great Tusk for massive damage, and Jet Punch is a strong priority STAB move. (As Wave Crash and Jet Punch function differently it's better to split them into separate points instead of lumping them together. Also make sure to mention the specific threats these moves allow the Pokemon to deal with.)

*Flip Turn allows you to get Palafin's base forme out of the battle to activate its ability as well as to act as a pivot move to keep up momentum in its Hero forme.

*Ice Punch allows Palafin to hit relevant Grass and Dragon-types that resist its STAB attacks, such as Amoonguss, Garchomp, and Dragonite. Close Combat allows you to hit the plethora of Dark-types in the tier such as Chien-Pao and Kingambit (make sure to include multiple examples of the pokemon a move is good against) for super effective damage.

*Choice Band allows Palafin to boost its already sky high attack stat even further, notably being able to OHKO Gholdengo with Wave Crash while in its Hero Forme. (make sure to mention the held item in the set comments)

Assault Vest Palafin can be used to make use of its great natural bulk and put more emphasis on its ability to act as a defensive pivot, though it's damage output becomes significantly lower. Coverage moves can be used in the place of Wave Crash as well, as Jet Punch is already a very strong STAB attack. However, doing this means that Palafin may not be able to KO Pokemon it otherwise could with Wave Crash. (Assault vest has already been mentioned above and you should not be dropping Wave Crash for coverage moves on Palafin) Palafin can also opt for an item like Leftovers or Mystic Water and use a Bulk Up set, but this set requires significantly more support from it's its teammates to work effectively than a Choice Band or Assault Vest set.

Palafin can opt for an item like Leftovers or Mystic Water and use a Bulk Up set, but this set requires significantly more support from it's its teammates to work effectively than a Choice Band or Assault Vest set. (What is the benefit of the Bulk Up set? May want to include why someone would run Bulk Up over Choice Band, while still mentioning its flaws. It's probably recommended to remove AV or explain its flaws in more depth here too.)

quick really small things but can you add something about why Steel-types specifically (esp those steel types)? Is it just because they resist grass moves, is it because they can switch into grass moves? just a little more detail and this should be fine.
and can you change this sentence " Palafin uses an Adamant nature to maximize its Attack stat to hit as hard as possible and a jolly nature to not lose the speed tie against opposing Palafin and Chi-Yu." to swap the order of Jolly and Adamant here so it matches up with the Jolly/Adamant order in the set?

Palafin-Hero is a strong attacker with an exceptionally high Attack stat and good natural bulk. It fits best on priority spam and rain teams that can make use of Palafin's sky-high (add hyphen) Attack stat and access to Wave Crash and Jet Punch. Palafin most commonly holds a Choice Band to maximize its damage output. Leftovers, Sitrus Berry, (AC) or Mystic Water can be used on Bulk Up sets as well. Palafin is not without flaws, however. (fluff) Palafin in its base forme has pitiful stats and puts very little immediate pressure on the opponent as a lead. (would it be worth adding how it has to be pivoted out bc that seems like another drawback to mention as well as a usage tip) Furthermore, it struggles with a lot of relevant Grass-type Pokemon, such as Amoonguss and Meowscarada. It enjoys being paired with Fire-types such as Arcanine, Skeledirge, (AC) and Chi-Yu that can remove Grass-types for it, as well as Steel-types like Kingambit and Gholdengo, (AC) which can switch in on Grass-type attacks and appreciate Palafin removing Ground- (add hyphen) and Fire-types.

[SET COMMENTS]
*Jet Punch is a strong priority STAB move that lets Palafin deal with fast threats such as Chi-Yu and Volcarona.

*Wave Crash is a strong STAB attack that allows you Palafin to hit slower targets such as Ting Lu and Great Tusk for massive damage

*Flip Turn allows you to get Palafin's base forme out of the battle to activate its ability, (AC) as well as to act as a pivot move to keep up momentum in its Hero forme. Due to Palafin's pitiful base stats, it is very important you pivot it out as soon as possible to activate its ability.

*Ice Punch allows Palafin to hit relevant Grass- (add hyphen) and Dragon-types that resist its STAB attacks, such as Amoonguss, Garchomp, and Dragonite. Close Combat allows you Palafin to hit the plethora of Dark-types in the tier such as Chien-Pao and Kingambit for super effective damage.

*Choice Band allows Palafin to boost its already sky high attack sky-high Attack stat even further, notably being able to OHKO Gholdengo with Wave Crash while in its Hero Forme forme. (do you need 'while in its hero forme' when you've said before to always pivot it out so you'll never attack with base forme?)

*Palafin uses a Jolly nature to not lose the speed tie against opposing Palafin and Chi-Yu (you still tie with other jolly palafin so you can't guarantee that. you could say "..Jolly nature to outspeed opposing Adamant Palafin and Speed tie with Chi-Yu" because they both run +speed natures, feel free to correct / @ me on discord if wrong) and an Adamant nature to maximize its Attack stat to hit as hard as possible. (any examples of where the power boost is useful? you also have adamant slashed first in the set, so it should be described first in the paragraph) Alternatively, you can maximize Palafin's HP investment instead of speed Speed and opt for an Adamant nature to make use of Palafin's good bulk, but you sacrifice the ability to speed Speed tie with opposing Palafin.

*The Tera Type type of Water maximizes the damage you Palafin can do with your STAB attacks. The Tera Type type of Grass lets Palafin resist Electric and Grass type Electric- and Grass-type moves. (how does this benefit palafin? what foes does it check? rn you're just listing the type chart with no relation back to the meta)
