[OVERVIEW]

Chien-Pao combines a threatening offensive profile with its unique ability Sword of Ruin that can amplify both its own and its partner's damage, making it a force to be reckoned with. Chien-Pao's ability to lower the Defense of active Pokemon turns physically offensive threats like Dragonite and Palafin into truly menacing threats, able to shred through unprepared teams with priority moves like Extreme Speed and Jet Punch, respectively. This makes Chien-Pao a perfect addition to fast-paced offensive teams. Additionally, entry hazard setters like Glimmora help weaken opposing Pokemon into range of KOs, with Glimmora also able to remove opposing hazards to keep Chien-Pao's Focus Sash intact.

However, Chien-Pao is not without its flaws. Its frailty makes it difficult to stay on the field when there's a threat that can't be KOed immediately, necessitating an intact Focus Sash to position properly. Additionally, opposing forms of speed control like Trick Room and Tailwind can allow the opposing side to eliminate Chien-Pao before it can have an impact. Faster Pokemon such as Iron Bundle, which can break Chien-Pao's Focus Sash with Icy Wind and lower its Speed for its partner, as well as Protosynthesis-boosted Roaring Moon and Walking Wake, pose a massive threat. While support from priority moves can be used to play around opposing Tailwind, Trick Room teams often runs priority blocking Pokemon like Indeedee-F and Farigiraf, which can make the Trick Room matchup difficult.

[SET]
name: Standard
move 1: Ice Spinner
move 2: Sucker Punch / Throat Chop
move 3: Sacred Sword / Throat Chop
move 4: Protect
item: Focus Sash
ability: Sword of Ruin
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
tera type: Dark / Ghost

[SET COMMENTS]

* Ice Spinner provides Chien-Pao the ability to remove Psychic Terrain, enabling strong priority attackers like Dragonite and Palafin as well as its own Sucker Punch.

* Sucker Punch is helpful in removing faster threats before they can attack, allowing it to nullify faster threats rather than being forced out. Throat Chop is a more consistent option that is able to hit Armor Tail Farigiraf and Indeedee-F. Throat Chop is also able to disable Sylveon's Hyper Voice and Scream Tail's Howl.

* Focus Sash circumvents Chien-Pao's frailty, allowing Chien-Pao to survive a strong attack and continue exerting offensive pressure.

* Sacred Sword allows Chien-Pao to hit Pokemon that resist both of its STAB moves, such as Chi-Yu and Kingambit.

* Protect allows Chien-Pao to keep itself safe while its partner can exploit Sword of Ruin.

*Tera Ghost provides Chien-Pao to a much appreciated immunity to Fighting-type moves, which can allow Chien-Pao to stay in on turns where it wouldn't normally be able to. Tera Ghost also makes Chien-Pao immune to opposing Fake Out and Extreme Speed. On the other hand, a Tera Dark can be used to power up Chien-Pao's Sucker Punch, allowing it to pick up KOs that it would not otherwise.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Different items on Chien-Pao all come with the cost of reducing its survivability against strong attacks by replacing its Focus Sash. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Chien-Pao to switch in on Stealth Rock without taking damage, which can provide potential benefits if needing to switch it in and out. However, this can be somewhat situational. Life Orb can be used to consistently boost its damage output, but this significantly cuts into its bulk. Safety Goggles provides Chien-Pao with an immunity to Amoonguss's Spore and Rage Powder, allowing it to attack Amoonguss's partner freely. Brick Break can be used to remove Reflect and Light Screen at the cost of Sacred Sword's higher Base Power.

[OVERVIEW]

Chien-Pao is fast and fragile, something that is oftentimes a curse in DOU, but a strong ability that allows it to both provide support to offensive powerhouses and shred past defensive threats, makes this a premiere threat in the metagame. An already threatening 120 base Attack works in conjunction with Sword of Ruin and a blazing high speed to make its offensive output extremely powerful, but its ability to aid other offensive Pokemon is what makes Chien-Pao truly a force to be reckoned with.
The first part of the first sentence feels out of place and isn't even necessarily true. The second sentence does a better job at explaining what Chien-Pao does. Remove the first sentence and modify the second one to fit better as an opening sentence. You talk about the frailty later anyway.
Chien-Pao's ability to lower Defenses turns physically offensive threats like Dragonite and Palafin into truly formidable wallbreakers, able to sweep unprepared opponents with ease.
It might be a good idea to mention that these mons like to use priority moves boosted by Sword of Ruin. I don't think 'wallbreaker' is the term I would use to describe Dragonite/Palafin on Chien-Pao teams. You are often looking to pick up KOs with priority moves with them.
You need to mention the types of teams Chien-Pao works best on, mostly offensive teams with hazards/Tailwind/priority. Mention Glimmora's synergy with these mons/teams (setting hazards to put opposing pokemon into range of ruin-boosted priority moves/strong moves from Chien-Pao).

However, Chien-Pao is not without its flaws. Its frailty makes it difficult to stay on the field when there's a threat that can't be KOed immediately. Additionally, opposing speed control like Trick Room and Tailwind can allow the opposing side to eliminate Chien-Pao before it can have an impact.
However, these weaknesses are sparse, and with good priority support, Chien-Pao can dictate the pace of the match.
Chien-Pao's bulk/defensive typing is a pretty significant weakness, its strengths just make up for it. It would just be better to mention its teammates can use ruin-boosted priority moves to play around opposing Tailwind. Trick Room usually runs one of Farigiraf/Indeedee-F so you can't reliably use priority into Trick Room.

* Ice Spinner provides Chien-Pao with a strong STAB option, as well as the ability to remove Psychic terrain, enabling strong priority attackers like Dragonite and Palafin.

* Protect allows Chien-Pao to stay on the field longer, lengthening the time that it gives its partner the beneficial field effect.

Just say Sword of Ruin or the damage boost/defense drop from Sword of Ruin, because Sword of Ruin also has the detrimental effect of lowering your ally's defense.

* Sucker Punch is helpful in removing faster threats before they can act, (one comma) but Throat Chop is a more consistent Dark-type STAB.

Throat Chop allows Chien-Pao to hit Armor Tail Farigiraf and Indeedee-F in Psychic Terrain that Sucker Punch cannot achieve. Throat Chop also has the benefit of preventing Sylveon's Hyper Voice Scream Tail's Howl.

I think it's worth mentioning some specific things Throat Chop can do.

* Life Orb allows Chien-Pao to pack an additional punch, but using Focus Sash can keep it alive for an additional turn, making it safer to keep it in to benefit its partner.

* Sacred Sword allows Chien-Pao to hit Pokemon that wall both of its STABs, such as Chi-Yu and Kingambit. Sacred Sword's ability to ignore stat changes can also be potentially useful against Iron Defense Garganacl.

Change wall to 'resist,' Chi-Yu isn't walling Chien-Pao's STABs.

* Using a Ghost-type Tera type provides Chien-Pao to a bunch appreciated immunity to fighting type moves, which can allow Chien-Pao to stay in on turns where it wouldn't normally be able to. On the other hand, a Dark-type Tera type can be used to additionally power up Chien-Pao's Sucker Punch and Throat Chop, which can allow it to remove threats that it wouldn't be able to otherwise.

Mention that Tera Ghost makes Chien-Pao immune to normal moves (namely Fake Out/Extreme Speed). Was bunch supposed to be much?

Chien-Pao's powerful and unique nature means that it can have an impact with a variety of weapons.
I appreciate the flair in this sentence but it doesn't really say anything.
Heavy-Duty Boots allows it to switch in on Stealth Rock without taking damage, which can provide potential benefits if needing to switch Chien-Pao in and out. However, this can be somewhat situational Chien-Pao can also run a variety of damage boosting items. However, none of these are as optimal as Life Orb. While Choice Band provides Chien-Pao with a higher damage output, losing the ability to use Protect and switch moves can significantly reduce the impact that it has on the match. Safety Goggles provide Chien-Pao with an immunity to Amoonguss' Spore and Rage Powder, allowing it to attack Amoonguss' partner freely.

Don't forget to put the credits in.

[OVERVIEW]

Chien-Pao combines an already threatening 120 base Attack works with its unique ability Sword of Ruin and a blazing high speed to make its offensive output extremely powerful, but its ability to aid other offensive Pokemon is what makes Chien-Pao truly a force to be reckoned with (I'd try to cut down this sentence a bit, feels a little verbose). Chien-Pao's ability to lower Defenses turns physically offensive threats physical attackers like Dragonite and Palafin into truly menacing sweepers threats, (personally not a fan of 'sweepers' in this context) able to take advantage of the reduced defenses to (redundant) shred through unprepared opponents with priority moves like Extreme Speed and Jet Punch, respectively. This makes Chien-Pao a perfect addition to fast-paced offensive teams. (That short sentence there feels weird but IDK what you should do about it, also Chien-Pao having its own priority should probably be mentioned somewhere) These teams appreciate Tailwind setters like Murkrow, which allows Chien-Pao to outspeed the vast majority of the metagame, and reduces these offensive teams reliance on priority. (Murkrow = Dodo, also I'd say Chien Pao teams are less likely to have Tailwind than otherwise) Additionally, hazard setters like Glimmora help soften your opponent's Pokemon up, putting them in range of strong physical attacks from Chien-Pao and the Pokemon it supports weaken opposing Pokemon into range of KOs, with Glimmora also able to remove opposing hazards to keep Chien-Pao's Focus Sash intact.

However, Chien-Pao is not without its flaws. Its frailty makes it difficult to stay on the field when there's a threat that can't be KOed immediately (mention having to run Focus Sash because of its frailty). Additionally, opposing speed control like Trick Room and Tailwind can allow the opposing side to eliminate Chien-Pao before it can have an impact. (Mention Iron Bundle being a BIG check, outspeeding and Icy Winding for something else to potentially finish off before it moves. Also mention other stuff with a Speed boost (Roaring Moon, Walking Wake), Choice Scarf users (Gholdengo, Great Tusk) and opposing priority as well). While support from priority moves can be used to play around opposing Tailwind, Trick Room often runs priority blocking Pokemon like Indeedee-F and Farigiraf, which can make the Trick Room matchup difficult. Despite this, with good priority support, Chien-Pao can dictate the pace of the match. (Feels like unnecessary fluff to me)

[SET]
name: Chien-Pao Standard
move 1: Ice Spinner
move 2: Sucker Punch / Throat Chop
move 3: Sacred Sword / Throat Chop (pretty sure we discussed this ages ago in QC that double Dark can be nice)
move 4: Protect
item: Focus Sash / Life Orb (Focus Sash is THE item)
ability: Sword of Ruin
nature: Jolly Nature
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
tera type: Dark / Ghost (Swap the order of these IMO, Tera Dark usually feels like a waste and Ghost is nice in Iron Hands meta)

[SET COMMENTS]

* Ice Spinner provides Chien-Pao with a strong STAB option, as well as the ability to remove Psychic terrain, enabling strong priority attackers like Dragonite and Palafin (also its own priority).

* Protect allows Chien-Pao to stay on the field longer, lengthening the time that keep itself safe while its partner can exploit the field effect of Sword of Ruin. (Move this after the other attacks to follow the set order)

* Sucker Punch is helpful in removing faster threats before they can attack, allowing it to nullify faster threats rather than being forced out. However, Throat Chop is a more consistent Dark-type STAB that is able to hit Armor Tail Farigiraf and Indeedee-F (Mention Trick Room in here). Throat Chop is also able to disable Sylveon's Hyper Voice and Scream Tail's Howl.

* Life Orb allows Chien-Pao to pack an additional punch, but using Focus Sash can keep it alive for an additional turn, making it safer to keep it in to benefit its partner. (Write a new sentence just about Focus Sash saying how it lives a hit)

* Sacred Sword allows Chien-Pao to hit Pokemon that resist both of its STABs, such as Chi-Yu and Kingambit. Sacred Sword's ability to ignore stat changes can also be potentially useful against Iron Defense Garganacl. (Super irrelevant now)

* Using a Ghost-type Tera type provides Chien-Pao to a much appreciated immunity to Fighting-type moves, which can allow Chien-Pao to stay in on turns where it wouldn't normally be able to. Tera Ghost also makes Chien-Pao immune to opposing Fake Out and Extremespeed. On the other hand, a Dark-type Tera type can be used to additionally power up Chien-Pao's Sucker Punch, which can allowing it to remove threats pick up KOs that it wouldn't be able to would not otherwise.

However, this can be somewhat situational. Chien-Pao can also run a variety of damage boosting items. However, none of these are as optimal as Life Orb. (Actually mention Life Orb here now, which should also be the first sentence of the paragraph. Probably link Choice Band into that, though personally I'm a hater and would remove that since even Life Orb is OO and Band is worse) While Band provides Chien-Pao with a higher damage output, losing the ability to use Protect and switch moves can significantly reduce the impact that it has on the match. Safety Goggles provide Chien-Pao with an immunity to Amoonguss' Spore and Rage Powder, allowing it to attack Amoonguss' partner freely. (Mention Brick Break for screens)
Tag once implemented so I can check over, also I'm tired so may have made a mistake somewhere and will probably have more to add when checking over.
