That second replay is heat, ngl :3
This was quite interesting to build around in all seriousness, because stall is difficult to build in NU; especially full stall.
Now back to twenty more balance teams!

LO Garbodor Workshop

Well, here it is, my first ever workshop (thanks to everyone who helped out.) The team feels a bit odd to use but it does indeed work nicely. It has a couple of odd techs that'll be explained. Anyway, the point of the team is that LO Garbodor lured in and punctured through mons like Rhydon and Steelix while still maintaing the 2ko on Defensive M-Dino and friends. The team uses SD Shiftry as a wincon to an extent. Poliwrath was there for a water check for the most part, while Garbo + Rotom is a great core. Tauros was deemed problematic and therefore Rhydon was the final rocker chosen. (The EVs are just slightly customized to reach the dank 420 defense stat with eviolite)

Looking at the team A clearly doesn't like missing DAT stone edge, and is a spell tag hater :3

Though, I'm curious what superpower actually hits? Why not use megahorn as you have perfect coverage with it.

So we tried to build a Sticky Webs team on chat and it went okay. Sticky Webs is actually a pretty difficult strategy to pull off in NU as there are so many checks and Pokémon immune to its effects (such as Xatu, Malamar, Archeops, Swellow, Scarf Rotom, etc), and you have to essentially give up a teamslot to run Smeargle, which isn't that useful otherwise. The trick was building a team that could function without Webs while also highly appreciating its support, and having enough defensive / offensive coverage between just 5 Pokémon.

Sub + 3 Attacks Malamar was picked as an immediate partner as it could outspeed the likes of Floatzel during Webs and could deal with Poison-types such as Weezing with Sub + Psycho Cut. This gives Malamar some extra early game presence that seems more suited to an offense team like this, and Malamar can also abuse any Sticky Webs reflected back by Xatu if desired, while also benefitting from switching into Defog users. Scarf Rotom was picked as an offensive spinblocker that provided speed control against the Flying-types that are immune to Webs. Mixed Samurott was picked as a good wallbreaker that could also apply pressure to Archeops with Aqua Jet and Malamar with Megahorn. AV Yama seemed necessary as a general switch-in to special attacks, but we decided to go with Guts AV as we didn't have a particularly good Scald switch-in, and Guts + Webs can make Hariyama a lot more threatening. At first our last slot was offensive Mega Audino with Thunder Wave and Grass Knot to support the rest of the team, as Hariyama and Samurott could have a field day on any paralyzed foe, but in the end we found we were too weak to opposing Fighting-types and Mega Audino, so we replaced it with defensive Garbodor with Seed Bomb to increase our hazard stack. Last minute change was going with Nuzzle Smeargle so we could get that paralysis support if needed.

Shoutouts to Earth, Watchog, Ov3r Ac3, MARCU5theBAW5, and Truthful Vow (Relaxed Dedenne) for helping!

Ok, so we started this workshop with the aim of making a team that highlights a rather unexplored threat in the meta, solo rain sweeper ludicolo, which can work as an excellent water check on offensive teams, and a fearsome late game sweeper.

So, after adding ludicolo, we thought to add either Aggron or DD rhydon, as they both really appreciate its resists, and appreciate its ability to straight up force out, and set up on gastrodon, one of their main counters. While we initially used Aggron, we figured that the fire and better normal resistances of Rhydon outweighed Aggron's sheer hole punching power.

After adding Rhydon, we felt we needed to get our rocks on the field, and would appreciate a fighting resistance, so we added Mesprit. Initially this was an offensive set, but after realizing we just straight up lost to shiftry, we swapped it to defensive.

We realized now that charizard could fit excellently on the team, as it can heavily pressure hariyama, who is one of the main switchins most teams have to ludicolo, and can just generally wear down the checks to the team's two sweepers.

After adding charizard, we realized we needed hazard removal. So we added the best offensive spinner in the tier, hitmonchan.

After this, we simply added lanturn as a generic stop to a number of threats like mantine and rotom, and to provide free momentum.

After creating the initial team, we realized that the team had major problems with ice types, shiftry, and most importantly psychic types, as we basically would lose a mon every time something like specs mesprit would swap in. Due to this, we redesigned the team, and came to two different teams.
Firstly, a redesigned team with skunk as the hazard control, and ninetales as the ice resist:

Ludicolo @ Life Orb

We started by wanting to make a workshop around Trevenant a new drop in NU, I already had a core which was Trev/Yama/Lix so we started with that.

We Started with this core and decided to build a Bulky Offense team. We chose CB Trev as that is the best set, AV Hariyama to take Ice, Fire and Dark type attacks and then Steelix to give us Stealth Rock, Flying Resist and a Electric immunity.

We then added Garbodor to give us a Spiker/T-Spiker and a Fighting switch-in. We chose to go with Seed Bomb over Drain Punch as it lures in Amstar and Barbaracle.

We then chose Lanturn to give us a Rotom check and a Jynx check. We then chose to use the AV set as it covers Jynx much better. As we were very weak to Malamar we chose to use Signal Beam over HP Grass/Fire.

We then added Archeops to get a speedy pokemon and another Ground check we chose to not have Defog as we wanted Spikes and T-Spikes to wear down opposing team. We also chose to have Taunt to pressure opposing Stealth Rockers.

The team is very pressured by Hazard Stack as we don't have anyway to take them away. But otherwise I think the team is quite solid.

[10:24] @MaroGod: Sounds solid
[10:24] @Ov3r T3st: yh
[10:24] #Orphic: defogger probably
[10:24] Caterpie Incarnate: special or physical?
[10:24] @Ov3r T3st: special
[10:25] @Ov3r T3st: i believe
[10:25] Caterpie Incarnate: dont we kind of want pursuit with the starting core though?
[10:25] @Ov3r T3st: yh
[10:25] @Ov3r T3st: so physical defog?
[10:25] #Orphic: tbh we can go physical but the whole core is physical so far
[10:25] Caterpie Incarnate: then physical and drop taunt maybe?
[10:25] @Ov3r T3st: yh
[10:26] #Orphic: we don't need defog desperately, looking at the core
[10:26] #Orphic: we can just have the physical taunt variant
[10:26] Caterpie Incarnate: ok
[10:26] @Ov3r T3st: k
[10:26] @Ov3r T3st: lum?
[10:26] Caterpie Incarnate: ye were not spikes weak, and skunt does absorb tspikes
[10:26] #Orphic: most likely yeah

[10:26] Quite Quiet: oh hang on
[10:27] Quite Quiet: I shut it down to fix something
[10:27] #Orphic: so i think we need a bit of speed
[10:27] Quite Quiet: and forgot to set it up again
[10:27] @Ov3r T3st: what trev set?
[10:27] @Ov3r T3st: CB
[10:27] #Orphic: and water resist is essential here
[10:27] Quite Quiet: it's up again now
[10:27] @MaroGod: hmmm
[10:27] #Orphic: probably band yeah
[10:28] @Ov3r T3st: CB is Wood Hammer/Shadow Claw/Rock Slide/ EQ?
[10:28] #Orphic: i guess so :)
[10:28] #Orphic: or rest > something
[10:28] @Ov3r T3st: i geuss AV Yama
[10:28] #Orphic: cos natural cure
[10:28] Caterpie Incarnate: was about to say
[10:28] @Ov3r T3st: ah yh
[10:28] Caterpie Incarnate: rest over rockslide imo
[10:28] #Orphic: ^^
[10:29] Caterpie Incarnate: since we have steelix for birds
[10:29] #Orphic: yep i agree
[10:29] #Orphic: personally i'm going with cc, knock, bp and eq on yama
[10:29] #Orphic: actually we don't struggle with garb
[10:29] Caterpie Incarnate: thats what I usually run n_n
[10:29] #Orphic: i'm thinking maybe stone edge or something
[10:30] #Orphic: or even thunderpunch but pelipper isn't common
[10:30] Caterpie Incarnate: equake is so good on hari rn imo
[10:30] Caterpie Incarnate: nah it only rly has the one variable slot imo
[10:30] Caterpie Incarnate: it needs cc, knock, and bp
[10:30] @Ov3r T3st: evs on trev?
[10:31] @Ov3r T3st: max Atk max HP?
[10:31] Caterpie Incarnate: 200 speed imo
[10:31] #Orphic: yep
[10:31] #Orphic: oh yeah speed
[10:31] Caterpie Incarnate: to outspeed adamant aggron
[10:31] @Ov3r T3st: k
[10:31] Caterpie Incarnate: hit 200 speed*
[10:31] #Orphic: means it also outspeeds hariyama
[10:31] Caterpie Incarnate: EVs: 48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spe
[10:32] Caterpie Incarnate: and jolly max rhydon
[10:32] #Orphic: and piloswine and stuff
[10:32] Caterpie Incarnate: and thats the ev spread I would run
[10:32] @Ov3r T3st: yh
[10:32] @Ov3r T3st: we could run jolly so we get more bulk
[10:32] @Ov3r T3st: but probably worse
[10:32] #Orphic: nah
[10:32] Caterpie Incarnate: nah, too much power is lost
[10:32] #Orphic: can we finish the team before doing any more sets please
[10:32] #Orphic: :)
[10:32] #Orphic: cos things can change
[10:32] Caterpie Incarnate: ye
[10:33] #Orphic: so basically i think we have a lot of options
[10:33] #Orphic: which is gonna be fun
[10:33] #Orphic: i want a water resist and some speed
[10:33] Caterpie Incarnate: imo we need a sturdier ground check too
[10:33] #Orphic: we can use special rott, lanturn, or even mantine
[10:33] #Orphic: sub mantine?
[10:33] #Orphic: something like that
[10:33] Caterpie Incarnate: ye I like that
[10:34] #Orphic: we're also really rotom weak still besides just pursuiting it
[10:34] @Ov3r T3st: subtoxic?
[10:34] Caterpie Incarnate: yeah
[10:34] #Orphic: yeah Ov3r T3st
[10:34] Caterpie Incarnate: umh hmm
[10:35] #Orphic: if we go mantine we need a more solid rotom check
[10:35] Caterpie Incarnate: Idt theres anything that rly fits well enough while also checking rotom
[10:35] #Orphic: well the other option is lanturn + different ground check
[10:36] Caterpie Incarnate: mhm
[10:36] Caterpie Incarnate: I like lanturn more
[10:36] @Ov3r T3st: yh
[10:36] Caterpie Incarnate: ass vest looks rly good
[10:36] #Orphic: ^
[10:36] @Ov3r T3st: AV so we get jinx check yh
[10:36] #Orphic: or do we want heal bell
[10:36] Caterpie Incarnate: nah
[10:36] @Ov3r T3st: nah
[10:36] #Orphic: aite av looks good then
[10:36] #Orphic: so last slot
[10:37] #Orphic: something fast
[10:37] @Ov3r T3st: then we need a quick ground check
[10:37] #Orphic: ground resist
[10:37] #Orphic: mhm
[10:37] Caterpie Incarnate: scarf mesprit doesnt look bad
[10:37] Caterpie Incarnate: gives us a bit of volturn too
[10:37] #Orphic: oo
[10:37] Caterpie Incarnate: and we can customize coverage to our needs
[10:38] #Orphic: thing is we also need a fighting switch in :/
[10:38] Caterpie Incarnate: hmm
[10:38] Caterpie Incarnate: yeah
[10:38] Caterpie Incarnate: colburr xatu?
[10:38] @Ov3r T3st: maybe lumharvest trev?
[10:38] @Ov3r T3st: or colbur harvest trev
[10:38] #Orphic: colbur harvest trev
[10:39] Caterpie Incarnate: yo
[10:39] #Orphic: nah i like band still
[10:39] Caterpie Incarnate: that sounds sick actually
[10:39] Caterpie Incarnate: Im going to have to try that sometime
[10:39] Caterpie Incarnate: but yh
[10:39] #Orphic: it's still bulky offense
[10:39] #Orphic: so i'm thinking maybe like
[10:39] #Orphic: garb > skunk
[10:39] #Orphic: final slot taunt cheops
[10:39] Caterpie Incarnate: oh yeah
[10:39] Caterpie Incarnate: I like that
[10:39] @Ov3r T3st: yh
[10:40] @Ov3r T3st: normal garb set
[10:40] #Orphic: yeah
[10:40] @Ov3r T3st: seed bomb as filler?
[10:40] Caterpie Incarnate: o-garb or bulky?
[10:40] #Orphic: hm
[10:40] @Ov3r T3st: bulky i believe
[10:40] #Orphic: bulky yeah
[10:41] Caterpie Incarnate: ok
[10:41] #Orphic: well i always like tspikes
[10:41] #Orphic: really helps with these kinda teams
[10:41] Caterpie Incarnate: are you sure no xatu last slot?
[10:41] Caterpie Incarnate: we dont like spikes at all
[10:41] #Orphic: archeops gives us the speed
[10:41] #Orphic: it has taunt to be fair
[10:41] Caterpie Incarnate: unless defog archeops
[10:42] #Orphic: i dont like defog cheops
[10:42] #Orphic: :/
[10:42] Caterpie Incarnate: :/
[10:42] #Orphic: the aim would be to get our own spikes
[10:42] Caterpie Incarnate: ik
[10:42] @Ov3r T3st: is seed bomb filler on garb
[10:42] #Orphic: and pressure the other team enough with cheops/band trev
[10:42] Caterpie Incarnate: ok
[10:42] #Orphic: Ov3r T3st what about tspikes
[10:42] Caterpie Incarnate: tspikes is a given
[10:42] Caterpie Incarnate: spike/tspikes/gunk/???
[10:43] @Ov3r T3st: yh Gunk/Spikes/Tspikes
[10:43] #Orphic: oh so instead of dpunch
[10:43] @Ov3r T3st: yh
[10:43] #Orphic: yeah okay
[10:43] @Ov3r T3st: as we already have a fight
[10:43] Caterpie Incarnate: I like focusblast garb personally
[10:43] #Orphic: catches out omastar and barb
[10:44] #Orphic: hp fire or grass on lanturn
[10:44] Caterpie Incarnate: I was thinking signal beam
[10:44] #Orphic: cos there's seed/gastro to think about
[10:44] Caterpie Incarnate: since were mala weak
[10:44] #Orphic: oo okay
[10:45] @Ov3r T3st: bulkcheops?
[10:45] #Orphic: nah fast offense cheops
[10:45] Caterpie Incarnate: with taunt>ep
[10:46] #Orphic: ye
[10:46] #Orphic: taunt, roost, acro, eq
[10:46] Caterpie Incarnate: no edge?
[10:46] #Orphic: no

Basically, the starting core was Hippopotas + Stoutland + Sandslash, which is a pretty basic, yet deadly sand core. Adding Garbodor gives the team an awesome fighting check, knock off absorber, and a soft check to most Grass type mons. Lapras is a great Water immunity and can help Sandslash clean, while Rotom seemed like a fine addition for the team since we needed a lure to Malamar, Colbur + Signal Beam is really fun. It also adds normal immunity which is pretty cool.

Can we just give Sandslash maximum Speed EVs? Don't see what 56 HP EVs is actually doing for us except making Sandslash lose to Jolly Base 50s, Adamant Base 60s, and other Sandslash.

Probably just a teambuilding error, I edited it.

Thought I'd try and revive these, so started a workshop around offensive vileplume and offensive poliwrath. Both of those mons are pretty uncommon in the current meta and I thought that they had decent synergy. Originally we tried to build around baton pass musharna into these two, but quickly found how difficult it was to patch holes and how slow we were. We went for cm mesprit because it gave a reliable win con, ground resist and soft fighting check. We decided regirock for our Stealth Rock user because we needed to patch up the massive weaknesses to both fire and scyther, plus it offered a form of speed control with t-wave. We chose hitmonchan next for our spinner because we needed a way to help deal with abomasnow and other ice types which wrecked havoc on the team, whilst also supplying us with rapid spin. Finally we went for scarf scyther for a malamar check, speed control and so it could help trap psychics and ghosts.

Admittedly, it was in shambles, most likely due to me hosting :3 but it was fun never the less.

Thanks to Sacri' , Earth , ~Eternally , Blast , erisia and to everyone else who helped! I will hopefully do more in the future n_n

So we had some fun building an offense team around Life Orb Mag + Specs Swellow. People easily forget how powerful Life Orb Magmortar is; it's one of the best wallbreakers in the tier unless people bring dedicated counters like Grumpig and Yama (which are fairly easy to deal with). Meanwhile, Swellow can clean up after Mag has done its job and does better against offensive threats in general. Skuntank is our unusual Defog option; we didn't want to do special because Magmortar hits all of its relevant targets and being able to trap Rotom / Jynx / Grumpig etc is nicer; Sucker Punch also gives us more anti-offense presence and Skuntank's typing also deals with Toxic Spikes and Specs Mesprit to an extent. Rhydon is a bulky Stealth Rock user that still packs a punch and gives us a defensive backbone to fall onto if required, also being our Malamar check with Megahorn. Scarf Jynx is our obligatory Water-resist and can also stallbreak to an extent by Tricking its Scarf against teams it's not needed against; Lovely Kiss is also very clutch. Finally, we went with pivot Musharna as a weird last choice that actually brings the team together; it provides a solid Fighting-type resist while also being able to deal with special attackers such as Pyroar thanks to the EVs, which is appreciated as Magmortar isn't running an AV this time. While CM pass to Swellow is very fun, we went with Thunder Wave this time as anything paralyzed is basically fodder for Magmortar or Rhydon, and it lets us deal with setup sweepers a little better.

Shoutouts to nv, GyRro, Watchog, lolbro, Yogibears, and everyone else who helped out!

Here's a replay but feel free to post a better one: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/nu-458167167
