Pokemon XY In game tiers (New List)

The goal of this in game tier list is to select pokemon for an Effecient run for ingame, the tiers are split into 6 enteries

S Tier
A Tier
B Tier
C Tier
D Tier
E Tier
F Tier

S-Tier
These Pokémon don't just stand at the top, they go beyond the scale and are extremely efficient. There is no point they'll be dead weight, and if there is, they'll just destroy the game afterward like RBY Alakazam. Do NOT treat this as merely "Top Tier", these Pokémon go even further beyond.

A-Tier
These Pokémon are highly efficient and well-recommended but have minor flaws that prevent them from being broken such as a crippling matchup, availability issues or a weak period without absolute dominance afterward.

B-Tier
These Pokémon are efficient, but not as reliable as the A-Tiers due to having noticeable flaws such as poor coverage, a long period of mediocrity or severe availability issues.

C-Tier
These Pokémon are solid but will require significant support to reach their full potential.

D-Tier
These Pokémon are decent. They'll have significant flaws but will get you to the endgame provided with the proper support.

E-Tier
These Pokémon are bad. You will have to drag them kicking and screaming to the endgame, but they will get there eventually. I think.

F-Tier
These Pokémon are as efficient and fun to use as doing a Wynaut solo run. Not even Wobbuffet. Everstone Wynaut. No Leftovers for passive healing.

There are several criteria that define a Pokémon's In-Game Viability. Similarly, this isn't a checklist, just a guideline.

Availability: This is how early a Pokémon becomes available in the game, with relevant factors such as encounter rate, level, backtracking, and significant HM usage also being considered.

Typing: A Pokémon's typing can make the difference between whether or not it has a positive matchup or even a section of the game where it struggles, such as RSE's infamous "Too much water" section where you will face problems if your Pokémon can't effectively deal with Water-types.

Stats: Rather self-explanatory. Good stats are good, and naturally they have a big influence on a Pokémon's viability.

Movepool: A Pokémon's movepool is of great importance to whether or not it is truly able to be used to its full potential. TMs and HMs are allowed.

Major Battles: Major battles consist of Gym Leaders, the Elite 4, Rival, and higher-ranked Villain operatives such as the Admins.
Granted, Kalos graces veterans with several difficult trainers outside of those, but they're not as impactful or memorable as anyone with a unique sprite.

Other: Factors like Evolution methods, abilities, and the like.

To avoid any potential issues, some rules and guidelines will be established so that newcomers can understand how this kind of tier works.

S Tier
S Tier
Honedge

Availabilty:Route 6(At Grass), which is pretty early
Stats:Honedge and Doublade have Amazing ATK And DEF, But they are very slow and thier special bulk is terrible. Aegislash, on the other hand, is amazing, despite the low HP And Speed, has amazing offenses under Blade Form and Defenses under shield form, the most Notable Thing about Honedge line is the Steel/Ghost Typing, which is amazing since they gonna wall the early game like crazy, you need a dusk stone to evolve Doublade into Aegislash.

Movepool:Starts with Swords Dance and gets Shadow Claw by TM Very soon, it would not have a viable Steel STAB For a while until Iron Head(Level 45 as a Doublade), Sacred Sword and Rock Slide round out it's coverage, do not forget to use a heart scale to reteach Aegislash king's shield.

Major Battles:Honedge typing allows it to take on a lot of major battles, especially Korrina, Olympia, Wulfric, and can do well in a lot of other major battles
Comments:Thanks to it's power, typing,Coverage, honedge is a very useful Pokemon for Ingame

A Tier
Snorlax
Availabilty:Route 7 after getting the pokeflute, one only.
Stats:Snorlax is Very Bulky Specially and Even his Physical Bulk is good when you get it, his 110 Base Attack is nothing to laugh at either. However, it is Very Slow.
Movepool:Snorlax Physical Movepool is solid with Body Slam being a strong STAB Attack Learnt early(Level 25 ), good coverage such as Crunch, Bulldoze/Earthquake, Heavy Slam, Rock Slide, and Brick Break Being good for coverage,it even has a nice Special Movepool, but you should not use it due to it's low Special Attack, early access to Yawn Allows beating a lot of hard pokemon early on
Major Battles:Snorlax's Bulk is going to help him handle a lot of Major Battles Early on Sans Korrina. And later, it remains useful thanks to High Attack and solid Bulk.
Additional Comments:Despite Being only one Available, Snorlax is a very good Pokemon to use, it's great Bulk for early game along 110 Base Attack in addition to early availabilty makes it a real beast early game while still being useful later

B Tier
Axew
Availability:Connecting Cave
Stats:Axew has Good Attack, but it is going to have shaky bulk and speed till it evolves into Haxorus, it also evolves pretty late, with Fraxure being at Level 38 and Haxorus being at level 48
Movepool:Axew actually has a Solid Movepool for early game, Dragon Rage is amazing early game, and Dual Chop is a Solid STAB Attack early on that is literally base 80 Power,Early Coverage such as Dig and Poison Jab(both can be found at Shalour City, X-Scissor(Which is right before Ramos), and Shadow Claw Give it solid Coverage, later on it can also use Earthquake, Brick Break, and Rock Slide
Major Battles:Don't use it against Grant's Amaura, but Tyrunt is 2HKoed by Dragon Rage or dent Heavily by Dual Chop, it can set Dragon Dance on Korrina's Meinfoo( you need to overlevel it a bit but her Hawlucha is Level 32 So it is not too overleveled) then sweep, Ramos is Beaten Easily with Dragon Dance, Can Take on Clemont by Dig and Evioltile+Dragon Dance when Emolga is naturally Frail, Mawile has no Fairy STAB So it Beats Valerie Despite type Disadvatage, once it evolves into Haxorus, it can sweep entire teams with Dragon Dance Easily

Comments:Despite the Late Evolutions, the Payoff and Strong Attacks early on in addition to fantastic Setup moves makes this a good choice for an effecient run

Scraggy

C Tier

Ferroseed
Pikachu
Inkay
Availabilty:Route 8 is Pretty early
Stats:Inkay has weak stats when unevolved, while Malamar is just...Avearge
Movepool: a little Limited but solid, Foul Play Defintely dents High-Attack Pokemon for Early game , main STAB Are Psycho Cut and Night Slash, but the real good thing is Contrary Superpower which acts like a 120 Power Bulk Up, but with limited PP, Rock Slide Rounds out it's Coverage
Major Battles: it is not going to be much of use against grant, but it is solid against Korrina and ramos, might struggle a bit but can do decent damage to Clemont, Struggles against Valerie, once it gets Superpower under it's arsenal it becomes a great Sweeper, being able to beat Wulfric 1-on-1 Easily while denting Lysandre's Meinshao and Taking advantage of Gyarados's Intimidate, on Elite 4, Superpower ensures it would not become deadwieght
Comments:Despite the Middling stats, Inkay is a solid Pokemon, the Evolution method is a bit weird, but lategame Superpower ensures it can remain good

D Tier

Emolga
Availabilty: Route 10, Grass or Flowers
Stats: it is fast, but frail and not strong enough for later
Movepool: Shallow, all it has besides STAB Is U-Turn and Junk like Pursuit, all it has going to it is early Nuzzle and Acrobatics.
Major Battles:Do not use it against Grant, Acrobatics dents Korrina and Ramos Easily, later on though it is going to struggle a lot due to frailness and lack of power
Comments: Early Acrobatics is a Saving Grace Defintely, but the lack of power later on, Shallow Movepool, and Fraility Makes this a mediocre choice for efficient runs
Noibat
Availabilty: Terminus Cave from Ceilings, 20% encounter rate
Stats:Noibat Stats before Evolving at Level 48 Suck, though you can catch it at a high level(around 45) so it does matter less, if you have a few Rare Candies, you get Noivern Immediately if you catch it at 45-46, Noivern stats are Solid, High speed, okay bulk , and fairly good SPAtk For ingame
Movepool: Noivern has a pretty nice movepool, you get Air Slash immediately when it is about to evolve, Draco Meteor can be used for more Raw Power if you raise it's happiness, Psychic, Flamethrower, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, and Focus Blast are Options tpp
Major Battles:Beats Abomasnow from Wulfric on 1-vs-1 and can take on Avalugg with Focus blast and Some EV Training but be very careful, Draco Meteor Severly Damages All of Dransa's Pokes, can deal good damage to Malva, and Beats Wikstrom's Klefki especially when considering that you can tank a Dazzling Gleam and Scizor dies to it, useful against most of Diantha's team but watch out for Coverage

Comments: while it is hard to train for a little while, comes late, and needs babying, Noivern's solid Stats and Movepool are appealing in general, due to it's problems, it is kinda mediocre to use in efficient runs

E Tier
Goldeen
Mantyke
Skrelp(Y only)
Availabilty: After getting Good Rod, by Fishing
Stats:Skrelp has bad stats Overall till it evolves into Dragalge At Level 48, Dragalge has Good SPATK and Okay bulk but really slow
Movepool:Srkelp suffers from a Shallow Movepool till it evolves. when evolved, it has good Coverage Such as Dual STAB(Poison+Dragon), Water Coverage, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, and Focus Blast to Round out his Coverage
Major Battles: Even with Poison STAB, Srkelp will struggle against Ramos, and it does awfully against Clemont, and even with Poison STAB, It struggles against Valerie due to low Stats. Even after it evolves, it has a Type Disadvantage against Olympia in addition to it's terrible Speed and lack of Shadow Ball at the Moment, and it Performs even worse than Noivern or Flygon(despite the not having the 4x Ice Weakness) against Wulfric due to it's speed and being forced to use the Inaccurate Focus Blast(it has Sludge Bomb for Abomasnow but Abomasnow outspeeds and 2Hkoes you anyways), it can beat Dransa though it will get outspeeded a lot and dent a lot, Good Matchup against Malva though speed Hurts him a lot, Beating Siebold with it is Questionable even with Thunderbolt, Will have Some trouble Against Wikstrom too though Shadow Ball can be used to kill Aegislash, the rest of "What it can do against Diantha?" is meh, Hawlucha is the only thing it can reliably beat.
Comments:Despite the Good Movepool as Dragalge, the Low Stats Till evolution,Late Evolution, and Lack of usefulness in major battles makes this a fairly bad choice for ingame

Ditto
Availabilty: Pokemon Village, 10% encounter Rate
Stats: All of Ditto Stats Are Terrible, when it Transforms it steals opposing Stats except for HP, Which sucks due to his Horrible HP
Movepool: Transform
Major Battles: no need to explain why this is going to be useless in every single major battle.
Comments:While it is useful for Breeding, Ditto Has almost no niche in game, making it one of the worst ingame Pokemon
