Heatran @ Steelium Z
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Flash Cannon
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Taunt

Heatran greatly helps Kommo-o by checking most of his checks that are generally psychics/fairies like Tapu Lele, Clefable, Tapu Bulu and Reuniclus if it's DD set. Steelium Z is a really great teammate since it can lure Alakazam-M which is a threat to Kommo-o.

Magearna

Magearna @ Assault Vest
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 248 HP / 224 SpD / 36 Spe
Sassy Nature
- Volt Switch
- Fleur Cannon
- Focus Blast
- Iron Head

Kommo-O struggles a lot with psychic types and also fairy types - Pokémon like Mega Zam, Tapu Lele and Tapu Fini are very troublesome for it to deal with.
Solution to this issue is AV Magearna as it can tank any hit, which in particular Mega Zam and Tapu Lele are able to go for. Volt Switch is really good as it can bring in Kommo-O safely without having to take damage from the opposing pokémon.

reserving steelium Z magnezone

Magnezone @ Steelium Z
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Among all the thing that can be annoying for kommo-o, there is: Haze toxapex, clefable magic guard (can take kommo-o at +0 easily and kommo-o can't set up), pain split mag (can semi reliably sustain +0 cc and weaken kommo-o enought for him not to be a threat), skarmory (can phaze it kinda easily), and scarf lele (which can revenge kill even a +1). These mons are all free sub for magnezone, which can be more than a mear trapper if it can sub. Z steel allows mag to secure kills against the like of scarf lele or +1SpD clef while 2hkoing mag the same way you would with electrium. Since Pex is more passive, I found it less crucial to ohko than a scarf lele or such.

Mawile-Mega @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Fire Fang / Thunder Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough

The biggest threats to Kommo-O are Fairy-Types that nullify its ability to set up and the Psychic-Types that outspeed it like Scarf Lele or dont always confirm a kill like against Mega-Zam ( 252 SpAtk +1 Clanging Scales against 0 SpDef Mega Zam at full only has about a 12.5% chance to OHKO). Mega Mawile is (although not a switch in to these mons if it doesnt want to take a good chunk of damage) a great answer to these threats with its Steel-Typing and excellent movepool. Fire Fang and Thunder Punch are interchangeable, depending on whether or not you'd like to take chunks out of Magearna or Toxapex, respectively.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 24 Def / 232 SpD
IVs: 0 Spe
Sassy Nature
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

Ferrothorn and Kommo-o (aka OU’s greatest sin against UU) form a great Dragon/Steel core together. Kommo-o switches in on Heatran, Blacephalon, Specs Lele locked into Focus Blast/HP Fire, pressures Zapdos and sets Rocks. Ferrothorn provides a Psychic, Electric and Fairy resist, a secondary Water resist to aid in checking Ash-Greninja and can wear stuff down into the range of Clangorous Soublaze with Spikes/Leech Seed. These two can often guarantee hazards on the opposing side, so good Spikes abusers like Mega Alakazam and Tapu Koko are nice.
