[SET COMMENTS]
  • Great Tusk is the best offensive Stealth Rock or Rapid Spin user in the tier thanks to its solid typing and good physical bulk.
  • If Great Tusk is paired with Pokemon such as Corviknight, then Stealth Rock can be run instead of Rapid Spin. If paired with teammates that set Stealth Rock, then the best set would be Rapid Spin / Headlong Rush / Close Combat / Knock Off.
  • Knock Off makes progress on Corviknight and covers the Air Balloon Gholdengo matchup.
  • Tera Ground lets Great Tusk deal incredible damage with Headlong Rush while also letting it survive Flutter Mane's Moonblast from full HP. Tera Steel flips the Fairy matchup and lets Great Tusk take on Ice- and Dragon-type attacks, but the additional weaknesses to Fighting and Ground make Great Tusk unable to take on Koraidon, Ting-Lu, and Iron Treads easily.
  • Great Tusk can be used to take on entry hazard setters like Ting-Lu and Iron Treads one-on-one by forcing them out and removing hazards.
  • Jolly is usually preferred to outspeed Gholdengo, Modest Chi-Yu, and Glimmora, but Adamant lets Tera Ground Headlong Rush OHKO Koraidon and specially defensive Annihilape after one layer of Spikes or Stealth Rock.
  • Great Tusk should be used aggressively to force out and keep entry hazards off the field against other setters, such as Ting-Lu and Iron Treads, since Great Tusk is generally difficult to switch into.
  • Great Tusk pairs well with Koraidon thanks to Orichalcum Pulse's sun, letting Great Tusk become an incredibly potent wallbreaker, and Great Tusk can clear entry hazards so that Koraidon can repeatedly come in. Miraidon also appreciates Great Tusk, as it forces out common checks such as Clodsire, Ting-Lu, and Iron Treads. Great Tusk also appreciates Blissey being able to take on all of the special attackers that force Great Tusk out, such as Flutter Mane, Miraidon, and Iron Bundle.

For formatting don't forget to put spaces between slashes in the actual set

Terastallizing into the Ground-typing lets Great Tusk deal incredible damage with Headlong Rush while also shedding weaknesses to common Fairy coverage like Dazzling Gleam from Miraidon and Moonblast from non Life Orb or Choice Specs Flutter Mane. Terastallizing into the Steel-typing can also be used to flip the Fairy matchup, but the additional weaknesses to Fighting and Ground make Great Tusk unable to take on Koraidon, Ting-Lu, and Iron Treads easily.
I wouldn't word it like this, with the Ground-type you remove the weakness to all fairy moves, so singling out certain flutter sets in this context doesn't really work. I'd more say that you can live those hits from full if needed, but nothing more than that since special fairy coverage still destroys it. When mentioning the steel tera I think removing the ice weaknesses and resisting dragon are pretty much as important as resisting fairy, so things like bundle, chien, and draco mirai can't always beat you.

Offensive Utility Great Tusk can be used to take on hazard setters like Ting-Lu and Iron Treads 1v1 by forcing them out and removing opposing entry hazards. Great Tusk can also run Heavy-Duty Boots to improve the Glimmora and Toxapex matchups, but this reduces its overall longevity.
nitpick but you don't have to say offensive utility great tusk here, both since it's self explanitory and because all tusk sets p much can take on ting lu and treads. Also I'd remove the boots mention, if it isn't in the main set these mini analysis don't need to mention the more niche things.

Jolly is usually preferred to outspeed Gholdengo, Slither Wing, and Glimmora, but Adamant improves damage rolls letting Great Tusk Terastallized into the Ground-type OHKO Koraidon and SpDef Annihilape after one layer of Spikes or Stealth Rock, and lets Headlong Rush guarantee an OHKO on Double Dance Miraidon.
Slither Wing mention isn't really relevant, it's either Ada band so you outspeed anyway or a wisp set that you never wanna take on since it resists your moves. Headlong also doesn't OHKO Miraidon.
252+ Atk Tera Ground Great Tusk Headlong Rush vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Tera Fairy Miraidon: 290-342 (71.9 - 84.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (100.00% chance to 2HKO after accuracy)

I think it's also important to quickly specify when to drop rocks and when to drop spin just for clarity, since on teams w partners like corv you're fine to go rocks cc headlong knock (which also pairs nicely w spikes ting lu for dual hazards), while if you have teammates that set rocks elsewhere it can be the removal with 4a.

  • Add a sentence here explaining that Tusk is the best offensive Rocker and/or Spinner and cut the mention of the moves from the bulletpoint below.
  • Stealth Rock is a great move on Great Tusk since it sets up entry hazards to wear down switchins such as Corviknight. Rapid Spin lets Great Tusk outspeed the entire unboosted metagame while removing entry hazards. Finally, Knock Off is a useful utility move that makes progress on Corviknight and covers the Air Balloon Gholdengo matchup. "Knock Off is an alternative if..."
  • Terastallizing into the Ground-typing lets Great Tusk deal incredible damage with Headlong Rush while also letting Great Tusk take on special Fairy coverage Flutter Mane's Moonblast from full. Terastallizing into the Steel-typing can also be used to flip the Fairy matchup and take on Ice-(AH) and Dragon-type attacks, but the additional weaknesses to Fighting and Ground make Great Tusk unable to take on Koraidon, Ting-Lu, and Iron Treads easily.

  • If paired with partners such as Corviknight, then Stealth Rock can be run instead of Rapid Spin. If Great Tusk is paired with teammates that set rocks, then the best set would be a 4 attack set with Rapid Spin / Headlong Rush / Close Combat / Knock Off. move up; teammates usually go after set description but on minis it's best to keep the train of thought rolling
