re: Region eligibility

Any player who is unpicked for their nations team (if it exists) may play for their continental team if they wish. This affects the following teams, and only works one way. (ex: a player unpicked for LatAm cannot play for Brazil if they do not have a long term IP there)

Brazil -> LatAm
India -> Asia
China -> Asia
France -> Europe
UK -> Europe
Spain -> Europe

If you are requested to play for your country’s team by their managers and they have an open roster spot, you are not allowed to decline and play with the continental team instead.

This ruling only applies if a player is unpicked by their country’s national team.

The format for NDWC III will consist of 2 randomly shuffled pools of 6 teams each. From each pool, the 2 teams with the most points at the end of the regular season will advance to playoffs with the lower seed from each playing the higher seed from the opposite in the semifinals. Autistic Soviet was banned for reasons unrelated to this tournament, thus US + Midwest decided to pick up Adriyun instead.

KeldeoCrowned was banned for reasons unrelated to this tournament, thus Brazil decided to pick up Thiago Nunes instead.

For the record, teams may pick up a player who did not sign up only in exceptional circumstances: Brazil is a relatively small region that lost a player for reasons that are out of the control of the managers, and they are not outsourcing for a player that would have otherwise been eligible for another region.

zeeLitium was banned for reasons unrelated to this tournament, thus Brazil decided to pick up ChainlessJoe instead.

National Dex Doubles OU banned Mega Metagross. This change will take place in NDWC IV starting next week, and Mega Metagross will be legal for the remainder of the current week.

No visible contact was made by either player, and no activity win call was made. This game is a dead game.

National Dex Monotype unbanned Hoopa-Unbound at the beginning of the week, before week 5 was posted. To clarify, this means Hoopa-Unbound is legal this week. This should have been announced earlier, that's my bad, apologies.

Note that the unban is not live on Smogtours yet.

The 14 player roster limit will be strictly enforced, and managers have to be added to the roster to count, if not it will be assumed that they are not playing. If a team does break this rule, the match will be conceded to the other team.

Re: Redgoop115 vs pdt
Although US NE did break this rule by subbing in Redgoop, we do believe this was not in bad faith as the playoffs slots had already been locked in, and both managers were fine with it after realising. Furthermore, Redgoop also lost, so conceding the match would change nothing. Match results stay as is.
