Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain / Sticky Hold
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy / Calm Nature
- Earthquake / Earth Power
- Scald
- Recover
- Toxic / Clear Smog
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Koko Dazzling Gleam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Gastrodon: 129-153 (30.2 - 35.9%) -- 34.1% chance to 3HKO
Counter
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 24 Def / 232 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock / Spikes
- Knock Off
- Leech Seed
- Iron Head / Power Whip / Body Press / Thunder Wave
At this point we all know what ferrothorn does, pivot into moves, hazards, heal itself and teammates with leech seed etc etc. The hazards set by itself wear down koko quickly, while knock off and leech seed will make sure there's practically no switch ins that's not going to get crippled.
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Koko Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 232+ SpD Ferrothorn in Electric Terrain: 76-90 (21.5 - 25.5%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

CM Lele is probably of the best set. And lele only learns hp fire not mystical fire. But it doesn't matter anywayCM Lele, which practically doesn't
ah noted. wrong psychic pokemon that mystical fireCM Lele is probably of the best set. And lele only learns hp fire not mystical fire. But it doesn't matter anyway
Reserving boots tini
Counter: Pivot Victini
Victini @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- U-turn
- Toxic / Encore
A fantastic offensive check, as it's able to grab the OHKO with V-Create while being able to u-turn if the opponent switched out. Boots makes sure victini will be able to offensively switch in at least 2 times safely, which is quite important as most counterplay either can't deal with other sets or is one prediction away from losing.
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Victini in Psychic Terrain: 143-168 (41.9 - 49.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Lele: 312-367 (111 - 130.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- King's Shield
- Toxic
- Shadow Ball
One of the most reliable counters to scarfed and specs Lele not running HP fire and can do massive pain to it if it stays in for SBall. Most Lele runs Focus Blast to hit Heatran so it's safe to assume that it's not running HP Fire. Most Lele hit-and-run, so you can often reliably sub and toxic somebody. CM Lele also gets walled and toxic to death unless it stacked up way too many boosts and one-shots Aegislash with HP fire. Here are the damage calcs:
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Aegislash-Shield in Psychic Terrain: 104-123 (32 - 37.9%) -- 0.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery - Psyshock does more damage than psychic
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Aegislash-Shield: 72-86 (22.2 - 26.5%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Aegislash-Shield: 124-146 (38.2 - 45%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery - Specs Lele
(and Specs calcs are all with Modest Lele - meaning if they run Timid take off 4-5 percent)
252 SpA Tapu Lele Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Aegislash-Shield: 76-90 (23.4 - 27.7%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
- Scarfed Lele
And in return:
0 SpA Aegislash-Blade Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tapu Lele: 204-242 (72.5 - 86.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
reserving weavile
Weavile @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Triple Axel
- Knock Off
- Pursuit
- Ice Shard
Check. Pursuit trap lele locked into a psychic move or just KO it with either knock or taxel.
Reserving melm
Melmetal @ Assault Vest
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Double Iron Bash
- Ice Punch
- Superpower
- Thunder Punch
AV Melm tanks everything Lele throws at it and nukes Lele with bash.
+1/Specs Focus Blast ist the only thing that hurts a bit but melm will eat it up:
+1 248 SpA Tapu Lele Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD Assault Vest Melmetal: 270-318 (65.6 - 77.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
They either throw 2 Focus Blasts wich won't kill melm or it uses cm and melm still survives a +1 Focus Blast.
An alternative spread is 116 Atk / 252 SpD / 12 Spe with a Calm Nature but it will reduce your Power a lot. You can also change the attacks as long as you keep bash.
CM Lele is probably of the best set. And lele only learns hp fire not mystical fire. But it doesn't matter anyway
Last day to vote: Friday 26thCOUNTER
Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- U-turn
- Healing Wish / Zen Headbutt / Fire Punch
- Trick
Jirachi resists both of Tapu Lele's STABs, is neutral to Focus Blast, and doesn't really take much from Hidden Power Fire. Choice Scarf Jirachi outpaces Tapu Lele and and OHKOs it with Iron Head.
