Congrats to Mullidito for winning this slate of BTC! We now have a defensive duo that is hell to play against:

:sv/toxapex: & :sv/ferrothorn:

Toxapex @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 248 HP / 212 Def / 48 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Toxic
- Haze
- Recover

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed
- Knock Off

This core is so difficult to break that we've decided to remove the B+ restriction, but go right ahead if you can defeat these behemoths with a low-ranked mon! Good luck to everyone.

Submissions end Friday.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Calm Nature
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Toxic / Stealth Rock
- Taunt

You trap both of these guys with this set and you can’t even beat tran with Tera water ferro either because it taunts you and then bam. Oh yeah if you want rocks too you can because uh… you can tera grass out of Tera water ferro leech

:hydreigon:

Hydreigon @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Dark (not important)
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse
- Taunt

Hydreigon returns! This time this is a more conventional set (if you consider only one attacking move conventional.)

Gameplan: Substitute in front of Toxapex. Taunt it. Set up. Remove it. Same with Ferrothorn. Both Pokemon can't break Hydreigon's sub in one hit, so they're set-up fodder. However, you only need a +2 to wreck both.

Calcs:

0 SpA Toxapex Scald vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Hydreigon: 29-34 (8.9 - 10.4%) -- possibly the worst move ever

+2 252 SpA Hydreigon Dark Pulse vs. 248 HP / 48 SpD Toxapex: 181-214 (59.7 - 70.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

4 Atk Ferrothorn Power Whip vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Hydreigon: 67-79 (20.6 - 24.3%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252 SpA Hydreigon Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Ferrothorn: 225-265 (63.9 - 75.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Azumarill @ Leftovers
Ability: Sap Sipper
Tera Type: Steel/Poison/Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Impish/Bold Nature
- Whirlpool
- Perish Song
- Protect/Substitute
- Substitute/Play Rough/Toxic/Knock Off/Aqua Jet/Ice Spinner/Scald/Defense Curl (You get the point, this slot is pretty open. I like play rough for Mega-Lopunny)

As should be obvious, this is a perish trapper. Step 1: Whirlpool, Step 2: Perish Song, Step 3: Profit.

Moveset:

Whirlpool and Perish Song are a necessity. You CAN play around with the last two moves. However, I recommend keeping Protect/Substitute in one of those slots, if not both. Protect allows you to stall out a turn of Perish Song, and gain leftovers recovery. Substitute cannot be broken by either Toxapex or Ferrothorn in 2 hits, which allows you to consistently avoid being Knocked Off. Even 2 crits dont necessarily break sub; from any common move, from either pokemon. More importantly, it allows you to avoid status, without wasting your Tera.

Most of the other moves are irrelevant to this core but, one move has the tiniest of niches. Defense curl lmao. If it is down to a 1v1, you cannot Perish song, as you outspeed both Toxapex and Ferrothorn, so Azu would faint first. It is possible to pp stall with Substitute + Defense Curl, just remember not to click Perish Song.

Tera Types:

Steel and Poison are mostly to avoid being hit by toxic from Pex. Ground can allow you to trap mons with Volt Switch.
