As we have passed the deadline, we are (finally) proud to present you the results of our first ever playerbase survey! Before we start, I'd like to give a huge shoutout to the
59 players that took their time to read and answer. It might seem like a very small number, but given our metagame isn't the most played, I think that's actually quite a good amount.
So, onto the questions:
1.) How do you feel about the current National Dex Monotype metagame?
Out of 56 answers, 51 players gave the metagame at least a 5 out of 7 regarding how enjoyable it is, meaning the playerbase does enjoy the tier. Most notably, however, was that there was no 1 or 2/7 rates, which further adds to the initial point. On average, we have a
5.71/7 enjoyment level.
2.) On a scale of 1-7, how competitive do you find the current metagame?
Similar to question 1, this one also had a fairly positive share of ratings from the playerbase. They were more varied, however; people do seem to find the metagame less competitive than fun, although both are at the higher end of the spectrum score-wise. On average, competitiveness is at a
5.12/7 rating.
3.) Are there any Pokemon in the current metagame that you believe deserve a suspect test? (Tell us why)
Answer-wise, this was probably the most intriguing of questions. While the majority of the playerbase wouldn't ban anything, Kyurem was the common demand for suspect testing from people that did say they wanted a tiering change in this aspect. Other Pokemon people answered would deserve a suspect include Rillaboom, Kommo-o, Greninja, and Regieleki.
4.) Are there any Pokemon which are banned that you believe should be introduced into the metagame? (Tell us why)
In a similar fashion to the previous question, few people wanted something freed and the vast majority thinks no Pokemon should be re-introduced. The most notable candidates in this category included Dragapult and Blaziken, which were banned on previous stages of the metagame.
Again, we'd like to thank every player who answered our very first community survey and, by doing so, helped improve the state of the metagame. We'll keep these answers in mind to go forward to a better direction.
