Re: Format and 8th slot vote

The 8th slot of this iteration of Monotype World Cup will also include SV Monothreat as an option to be voted on by managers, hosts, and forum mods.

lax was banned during Monotype World Cup II from participating in MWCOP III, but the hosts and forum mods have decided to reverse this decision; thus, he is free to signup and play, if selected, in this iteration.

Re: Tournament format change, pools, and schedules

As the signup post indicated, we were originally expecting to have a standard round robin tournament with 8 teams. However, with the overwhelming amount of signups and interest in including extra regions, we added an additional 4 regions and thus will be changing the format of the tournament to two groups playing 5 weeks of regular season games, followed by the top two teams from each bracket facing off in playoffs. The signup thread will be edited to include this change.

Manager signups will close tomorrow (January 25th) at 10pm GMT-5. We're closing early to allow more time for consideration of the final slot selection from managers who are chosen to discuss with their potential team, as well as for potential signups that may occur depending on the outcome of the vote.

Re: toytean vs Amukamara

An activity win is being granted to Amukamara based on toytean not showing up for their agreed upon time and a sub not being provided within a 30-minute timeframe after being asked for. While scheduling was not the greatest, as toytean never explicitly agreed to the time suggested initially, he did after the fact say he expected to play at the time suggested by Amukamara, but miscalculated conversion of the timezones, showing up more than 60 minutes after the time he stated he expected to play at.

Hashg Skynyrd and StepC missed the scheduled times and subs were not provided within 30 minutes of India reaching out to Venezuela or France reaching out to Europe.

So Noisy and Cielau receive the activity wins.
