Roserade never really had too much going for it in Monotype, but now it turns into a reliable Psychic check, to help Poison in those ever common Psychic matchups. It now outspeeds every Psychic threat bar the latis, and pretty much all of them with Choice Scarf. Now immune to Psychic and with Dark STAB, it can reliably deal with the Psychic Pokemon that give Poison trouble. Just set up the Stealth Rocks or do some damage beforehand and let this monster sweep. If you don't feel that Roserade will OHKO the Pokemon, just slap a Sleep Powder on it. Psychics will run away at the sight of Roserade.

Poison is a type that seems very good on paper, but sometimes lacks in practice. The good thing with poison is that it can beat high tier types, but suffers against the mid tiers. Poison has a bad mu against bug, dark, fire, flying, ground, ice, dragon, and so on. What poison needs is a stab ice type mon for offensive presence.
Right now the main viable scarf mons poison runs are nidoking and gengar, both of which pretty much NEED the life orb. With scarf roserade sitting at 101 base speed, it can be a viable scarf mon for poison. Scarf Ice beam helps tremendously against flying, ground, and dragon. I'll include some calcs at the bottom for you to see. Keep in mind that roserade is still very physically weak, and dies to a banded dragonite ES.
Leaf Storm is there so that it can be a hard hitting grass move, and can leave the option of running mega beedrill. Sludge Bomb is there for STAB.
Hidden Power Rock is the common but interesting choice, it also gets boosted by technician. It can take out Mega Char Y, Volcarona, outspeed volcarona at +1 as well, and just in general help with the bug and ice matchup tremendously. More calcs will be included at the bottom. Overall I think Ice type roserade would help a lot with offensive poison, and would be able to help out in many disadvantageous matchups.

Alright, since we are getting our poison/dark muk next gen so I thought why not theory-mon over this thing. Thing is with this, poison gets a pretty good psychic counter with both sucker punch and pursuit causing 50-50, and due to slight attack boost(which is now equivalent to one bisharp has), it maintains a pretty good match-up against most mons unlike skuntank which is pathetically weak. Also, this thing has pretty awesome natural bulk and sucker punch is deceptively strong doing a solid 85% to standard sand rush excadrill. As far as the ability goes, I was thinking about something to evade random status, initially I wanted guts but wonder skin actually makes it a semi-reliable spore counter as spore is like 50% accuracy against it. Also fire punch is pretty good here as it donks ferrothorn as muk is naturally faster than it and brick break hits tyranitar hard. Little defensive buff helps take hits like victini v-create even after rocks and life orb pretty well.

Ability: Shed Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Poison Jab
- Sucker Punch
- Coil
- Giga Drain / Knock Off / Slack Off

With a new, better typing, better stats, and access to recovery, Seviper can now function as a bulky setup Pokemon for Poison. Poison/Dark is a great typing, only being weak to Ground and providing a Psychic switch in for Poison. The stat boost give Seviper better offensive capability in it's Attack while now giving Seviper pretty decent bulk. This decent bulk combined with Coil and priority STAB Sucker Punch makes Seviper a pretty good setup Attacker already. However, to make it even better, I added Slack Off to allow Seviper to set up and then heal itself when it needs to, and opens up the door for a SubCoil set. Ikept the ability the same as Shed Skin is nice on a Physical Attacker like Seviper, but Sheer Force was something I was considering.

Poison hates all of its booty matchups. Buffing Roserade to a Fairy/Poison typing allows Poison to nail Dragon and Dark with a solid STAB option. While not necessarily giving a direct answer to Psychic or Ground attacks(Me and Zap are the only real niggas .-.), this aids with other difficult matches. Moonblast and Sludge Bomb are your big STAB slots. HP Rock serves as a nice filler to better handle the combination of Fire/Bug games(More so CharY & Volca). Leaf Storm I left as the final slot for a solid option to hit those Grounds and Waters.
The bump in speed is just too nice and too necessary to pass up. Standing at a speed of 101 allows Scarf Rose serve as a legitimate speed threat.

SUDOWOO- Reserving Gigalith

Gigalith @ Life Orb
Stats: 85/60 (Swapped with Special Attack)/130/135(Swapped with Attack)/80/25
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Power Gem
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast / Recover

Gigalith, as we all know, is outclassed by Golem and Regirock in every possible way. So, to give Lith an actual use, why not make Gigalith a special attacker by swapping it's Attack with it's Special Attack? Rock has very few special attackers, with only Diancie and Aurorus being viable (unless you count TTar too), none of which get very good special Rock moves. But Gigalith does, learning Power Gem. This makes Gigalith a nice burn absorber and special tank. To add to it's power, I gave Gigalith Sheer Force (I mean look at it. That's a forceful body), boosting the power of it's coverage, Earth Power, Flash Cannon, and the new Focus Blast. Lastly, I gave Gigalith Recover to give it the option of being a wall, since barely any Rock-types get recovery and Gigalith has really nice bulk

edit: dammit i wanted to make the pokemon cypher joke first.

Head Smash is solid on anything with Rock Head, and Horn Leech is a very seldom seen move. Considering how ridiculously slow Sudowoodo is, the most major buff is its speed (but not by very much), followed by enough SpDef to avoid getting OHKOed as easily from the special side of the spectrum. While Sudowoodo is technically supposed to hate water lore-wise, I felt it was a crying shame to not give it a Grass subtype to take advantage of Wood Hammer.

It's no Tyrantrum, but Sudowoodo can carve its niche with recovery and priority, something that other Rock Head users unilaterally don't have. It's also only one of three Pokemon I can think of that has a viable spread that has Rock/Grass/Fire coverage, after Arceus-Grass or Tangrowth (Gourgeist doesn't count, cuz no one uses Flamethrower on it). You gain weaknesses to Bug and Ice, but also lose weaknesses to Ground, Grass, and Water, which already put it miles ahead of most Rock-types. Between Wood Hammer and Horn Leech, Water-types can be scared to come in if they fear the OHKO. Fire Punch roasts Scizor, Ferro, and Steels in general, while Sucker Punch lets you handle faster threats like Gengar if you so choose to.

44 Speed is to outrun Clefable, but you can run 164 Speed to get everything up to defensive M-Scizor.
