This thread will contain all administrative decisions regarding Monotype Premier League VIII ranging from important tour changes to the dreaded activity decisions alongside the draft results. Okay, let's get the ball rolling!

Auction schedule: In accord with the managers, the MPL VIII Acution will be held Sunday 22nd, 6pm GMT 0, on the Monotype Events room.

Team budget:
Previous ruling: Each team will have 120 k to spend on their team, including playing manager and retains.
New ruling: Each team will have 100 k to spend on their team, including playing manager. Retains will not be a part of MPL VIII.

Manager prizes:
Previous ruling: Manager prizes were weighted based on previous MPL performances.
New Ruling: After some unsatisfactory results with the formula used on previous iterations of MPL for this batch of managers, and taking on account the opinions of managers, Forum Moderators, and TLs, the hosting team has agreed that all playing managers will have a cost of 20k, and they must confirm to the hosts who will they be at least 2 hours before the draft.

Trades:
Previous ruling: Trades were not allowed after Week 1's OP was posted. Vetoes at discretion of the hosts and staff.
New Ruling: Taking on account that draft will be on Sunday and Week 1 will start the day after, trades will be allowed until Week 2's OP is posted. However, no attempts of trading a player included on the Week 1 line up should be done until that player ends their series. After all trades are done, a team's total value cannot exceed 115 K, or fall below 85 K. If a trade fails to keep a team inside these value limits, the trade will be automatically vetoed. Other subjective vetoes by the hosting team are not expected to happen, as long as no other tournament general rules are broken and intervention is deemed necessary.

Tier Locks:
To avoid potential prize fixing by lying about formats of interest on the sign up post, players will be restricted from playing in tiers they did not list in their signup post until the end of Week 3. If you signed up prior to this, please review the tiers you signed up for to take this into account. We will not be permitting people to edit their signups to add or remove tiers after player signups close. This ruling does not apply to 3k players.

BW OU has banned Gems. Since BW Monotype uses BW OU BL, they are not available on BW Monotype, and therefore can't be used from this week (semifinals) onwards.

TLs have kept them unbanned on BW Monotype, so feel free to keep throwing gems at each other on MPL.
