Inspiration: A mashup of multiperson chinese festival costumes
Ability: Flash Fire / Majestic | Justified (HA)
Stats: 90 / 110 / 80 / 100 / 80 / 95 | BST: 555
Movepool Additions: ( same movepool as Arcanine otherwise )
: Fang Charge
Fang Charge - now only has a 30% chance to badly poison if the user is Poison type - otherwise 20% chance to lower Def
: Draco Meteor, Fiery Dance
: Dragon Dance
Movepool Removals:
Play Rough, Close Combat
Sprite: Arcanine has a square jaw like a chinese lion, bird legs and talons, and a long, multicolored tail
Weight: 155 kg
Gender: 25% male 75% female
Size: 1.9 m
Competitive use: This version of Alolan Arcanine shares a lot in common with its Kantonian counterpart, including its offensive and defensive versatility. It gains a better defensive typing and secondary STAB, which should boost its viability. Majestic arguably combos with Will-o-Wisp better than Intimidate, as well. Dragon Dance variants hit much less hard than Mega Charizard X, but they don't have to risk taking 50% from Stealth Rock and have Majestic to secure setup opportunities. It can also go mixed with Draco Meteor or fully special to avoid recoil.
Is it OP?: The existence of Mega Charizard X probably means that the tier can handle it. It's basically just a more defensive counterpart.

Ability: Overgrow / Sand Stream
Stats: 80 / 72 / 110 / 73 / 110 / 80 | BST: 525
Movepool Additions: ( same movepool as Arcanine otherwise )
: Granite Tail*, Stone Edge, Rock Slide
:
: Stealth Rock,
Granite Tail* - Rock type | Physical | 15-24 PP | Deals damage equal to the user's level. Breaks screens as well as Protect.
Movepool Removals:
Petal Blizzard, Petal Dance, Light Screen, Reflect,
Sprite: Meganium looks more like a real brontosaurus, with its neck held out in front and tail behind. It has leaves around its neck, but they are fairly small. The antennae on its head are green ferns. Its tail has a rocky club at the end of it that looks like a pestle for crushing herbs.
Weight: 155 kg
Gender: 25% male 75% female
Size: 1.9 m
Competitive use: Grass and Rock cancel out a bunch of each other's weaknesses, making it a boon to both team types. Both types have a hard time establishing balance teams due to the high number of weaknesses, so this guy should help with that. It offers a lot of team support, with Stealth Rock, screen breaking, and Aromatherapy.
Is it OP?: It's a passive wall for two types that have tons of weaknesses, so I think it can be a little crazy in terms of bulk and not be OP. Also keep in mind that Sand Stream relegates it to using Leech Seed for recovery.
Flavor: It uses its tail to crush herbs and release a soothing aroma. Alolan Meganium have barely changed for millions of years, making them the second most ancient non-revived species behind Relicanth. They predate the evolution of flowering plants, hence the lack of petal based moves.

Ability: Defiant / Sheer Force | Surge Surfer (HA)
Stats: 90 / 123 / 75 / 57 / 75 / 90 | BST: 510
Movepool Additions: ( same movepool as Braviary otherwise )
: Volt Tackle, Wild Charge,
: Thunder, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch
: Thunder Wave
Movepool Removals: Rock Slide, Rock Tomb,
Sprite: Braviary has two sets of wings and clutches a thunderbolt in its talons.
Weight: 89.2 kg
Gender: 100% male ( like Braviary )
Size: 1.6 m
Competitive use: WIP
Is it OP?: WIP

Still waiting for the third vote (so far 50/50). If I haven’t heard by the end of the day I’ll decide.

Inspiration: Ancient, mossy armour
Ability: Heavy Metal / Fluffy
Base Stats: 80 / 82 / 100 / 83 / 100 / 80
Useful Moves
Physical
: Iron Head, Dragon Claw
Special: Draco Meteor
Status: Recover
Sprite: Meganium with Knight's Armor and moss growing through the cracks
Weight: 100.5 kg
Competitive use: Mixed wall that uses Fluffy to tank a lot of common physical attacks. Access to Recovery and a good defensive typing help get around it's lackluster stats overall. On Steel it doesn't really do much through typing alone because it keeps it's Fire weakness when using Fluffy, but on Dragon it provides a neutrality to Fairy, Ice, and Dragon, making it a key defensive pokemon.
Is it broken?: It's a Dragon type that's effectively weak to Fire, its offensive stats aren't really going to be doing much, and it has an annoying weakness to Earthquake which isn't weakened by Fluffy.

OK, time for Slate 12, and this time we're going big! Each of us is going to be creating a legendary group (either duo, trio or quartet, up to you). When the voting time comes, you'll be voting for a that person's entire group, and the two groups with the most votes will be added. Rules:

  • They must be in the Undiscovered Egg group - however they can be gendered if you wish (the Forces of Nature are after all)
  • They don't have to share any type (Raikou, Entei and Suicune don't)
  • They must have the same base stats, although they can be arranged in any order you wish
    • The master of your group is allowed to break this
  • If you have previously created a Pokemon with a 570 or 580 BST, you can make that part of your trio. Just say so in your post
  • They must either all have the same ability, or have abilities that do similar things (the weather trio and the Tapus for example)
    • Exception is if one of them serves as the master
  • All of the group must have a BST of 580, apart from if you make one of them the master. The master can go up to 600 (a la Landorus).
  • Optional, but it would be great to see some lore about your legendaries.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! So I don't have to triple post, here is my group.

Krakatuby was originally conceived as part of a legendary quartet called the Gems of Peace, so today I'm making the other 3 members. They have no master.
The story goes that in ancient times in the Priviosa region, there were many tribes fighting near constantly, for power or just to settle old scores. Over time this would reduce Priviosa to a near uninhabitable wasteland. One man, growing tired of this conflict, went from tribe to tribe, trying to fix things. But this had no effect. Feeling desperate he journeyed to the edge of the sea, and threw his few remaining material possessions into the water. Eventually, he threw one of the four pieces of his stone necklace into the ocean. Unknown to him, that necklace contained the pieces of a Pokemon long since forgotten by man, and the shard took on the sea water and formed the Pokemon Lapaqua. After being bought back to life, Lapaqua made a deal with the man - if he bought back its friends, they would help him bring peace to the region. So he travelled to the mouth of a volcano and threw in the second shard - this revived Krakatuby. He then travelled to the last remaining fertile area of Priviosa, and placed the shard in the soil. This bought back Torloam. Finally, he travelled to the top of the highest mountain in the region and threw the final piece off the cliff's edge. It revived Saphaero. The revived Pokemon made good on Lapaqua's original promis: Krakatuby burned down the army bases, fences and prison camps; Torloam bought life back to the soil; Lapaqua bought life healing rain to the region and Saphaero bought wind to help carry the pollen. After the man died, they all returned to their original resting places. It is said that they will rise again if Priviosa descends into war. It is also said that if all four are gathered in one place together, they can summon an even greater power.

Crystal Core: All attacks are either physical or special depending on which stat is higher. Z moves are unaffected - moves that reduce an attack stat reduce the one used (so a special Superpower lowevers Defence and Special Attack).

Type: Rock / Water
Ability: Crystal Core
Base stats: 84 / 70 / 84 / 134 / 104 / 104
Useful Moves
Physical: Liquidation, Earthquake, Superpower
Special: Water Spout, Hydro Pump, Crystal Beam, Ice Beam, Hidden Power
Status: Nasty Plot, Rock Polish, Stealth Rock
Weight: 44.44 kgs
Size: 1.4 m
Gender: None
Sprtie: Wailmer with grey accents
Competetive use: On Rock teams it makes a great special sweeper, as other than possibly Mega Diancie, Rock doesn't have that. On Water teams, it will serve as more of a wallbreaker, either with a Choice Specs or with Nasty Plot.
Is it broken? Its physical bulk is pretty bad, and while its Speed is good, it is left lagging behind Pokemon like Terrakion, Keldeo, Tapu Koko and others. Its typing also gives it a nasty 4X Grass weakness, which both Rock and Water already struggle with.
Pokedex: Said to embody the power of water, Lapaqua is able to change the weather and even the tides themselves with a mere thought. It has a very calm and laid back nature, and is known to bring stranded ships back to shore in exchange for food.

Type: Rock / Ground
Ability: Crystal Core
Base stats: 70 / 104 / 104 / 84 / 84 / 134
Useful moves
Physical: Earthquake, Accelerock, Seed Bomb, Superpower, Head Smash, Endeavor
Special: Crystal Beam, Hidden Power, Grass Knot
Status: Bulk Up, Shore Up, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Rock Polish
Weight: 44.44 kgs
Size: 1.4 m
Gender: None
Sprite: Darmanitan coloured brown
Competetive use: Brings some much needed speed to both Rock and Ground teams, it serves a similar role to the likes of Zeraora and Mega Lopunny - a fast offense check. It could also run a suicide lead set, or even a late game sweeper set with Z-Bulk Up. STAB EdgeQuage is nothing to sneeze at either, giving it almost perfect neutral coverage with its STABs alone.
Is it broken? X4 weaknesses to Water and Grass are not ideal, especially since both Rock and Ground already struggle with those types. It isn't very bulky either, meaning it struggles to come in safely on much. It is also weak to priority in the form of Mach Punch, Bullet Punch, Aqua Jet and Ice Shard.
Pokedex: Said to embody the power of the earth, Torloam blasts through the soil at speed too fast for the eye to follow. Strangely, plants are never damaged by its antics.

Type: Rock / Flying
Ability: Crystal Core
Base stats: 134 / 84 / 104 / 104 / 84 / 70
Useful moves
Physical: Brave Bird, Earthquake, Wild Charge
Special: Crystal Beam, Hurricane, Focus Blast, Hidden Power
Special: Stealth Rock, Calm Mind, Substitute, Roost, Rock Polish, Stealth Rock, Defog
Weight: 44.44 kgs
Size: 1.4 m
Gender: None
Sprite: Archeops coloured white
Competetive use: I see Saphaero mainly functioning as a bulky set up sweeper, as after a couple of Calm Minds it is difficult to break. As nothing is immune to either of its STABs, it can run a mono attacking Calm Mind set to break through stall teams. On Rock teams it can also function as a nice Defogger, as they don't normally have space for one of those.
Is it broken: Its weak to Stealth Rock among other things, and it's not very powerful without a boost. Base 70 Speed is also pretty poor, leaving it outsped by many offensive Pokemon. Bulky Steel types are also a pain for it to deal with, even if they take neutral damage from its STABs.

Oddly enough my Rock/Fire sub was part of a legenedary quartet too, ( man-made weather changers ) but I'm not sure if I'll sub another Rock quartet. Cool slate! Also, could we have the option of 570 BST like the Tapus? The aforementioned case has 570 because the weather-changing abilities are analogues to the terrain ones, for instance

Pala -

Type: Normal
Ability: Illuminate
Base stats: 100/60/60/60/60/60 | BST: 400
Useful Moves:
Physical:
Return
Special: Hyper Voice
Status: Sketch (ONCE), Toxic
Sprite: 2busydidntmakeone
Weight: 82 kg
Gender: Default
Competitive use: Baby! This boy can uh, only use around 4 moves. Unfortunate.
Is it broken?: No.

Palaflame -

Type: Fire
Ability: Flaming Core/Adaptability
Flaming Core: Copies the Attack stat of the opponent on switch-in.

Base stats: 100/100/100/100/100/100 | BST: 600
Useful Moves:
Physical:
Flare Blitz, Return, Fire Lash, Extreme Speed, Close Combat, Zen Headbutt, U-Turn, Dragon Tail
Special: Flamethrower, Hyper Voice, Fire Blast, Vacuum Wave, Psychic, Volt Switch
Status: Sketch (ONCE), Will-o-Wisp, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Roar
Sprite: 2busydidntmakeone
Weight: 82 kg
Gender: Default
Competitive use: By using the cool ideal of taking Singular Sketch from Necturna, this allows the Palas to gain a big lead in role compression, it can be used to set up hazards like Webs or Stealth Rock, or it could use Rapid Spin or Defog to get rid of them. it could use the last slot as recovery, or have it be a great set-up move. Extreme Speed allows for quick attacks, while Roar and Dragon Tail allow for phazing.
Is it broken?: The single sketch is nice, but seeing as it doesnt naturally have reliable recovery OR a set up move, chances are this wont do very well for it.

Palaspark -

Type: Electric
Ability: Sparking Core/Adaptability
Sparking Core: Copies the Special Attack stat of the opponent on switch-in.

Base stats: 100/100/100/100/100/100 | BST: 600
Useful Moves:
Physical:
Volt Tackle, Return, Zing Zap, Extreme Speed, Close Combat, Zen Headbutt, U-Turn, Dragon Tail
Special: Thunderbolt, Hyper Voice, Thunder, Vacuum Wave, Psychic, Volt Switch
Status: Sketch (ONCE), Will-o-Wisp, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Roar
Sprite: 2busydidntmakeone
Weight: 82 kg
Gender: Default
Competitive use: Like Palaflame, but gets STAB on Volt Switch. cool.
Is it broken?: The single sketch is nice, but seeing as it doesnt naturally have reliable recovery OR a set up move, chances are this wont do very well for it.

Palaflora -

Type: Grass
Ability: Floral Core/Adaptability
Floral Core: Copies the Defense stat of the opponent on switch-in.

Base stats: 100/100/100/100/100/100 | BST: 600
Useful Moves:
Physical:
Wood Hammer, Return, Seed Bomb, Extreme Speed, Close Combat, Zen Headbutt, U-Turn, Dragon Tail
Special: Energy Ball, Hyper Voice, Leaf Storm, Vacuum Wave, Psychic, Volt Switch
Status: Sketch (ONCE), Will-o-Wisp, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Roar
Sprite: 2busydidntmakeone
Weight: 82 kg
Gender: Default
Competitive use: Same as Palaflame, really.
Is it broken?: The single sketch is nice, but seeing as it doesnt naturally have reliable recovery OR a set up move, chances are this wont do very well for it.

Palasurf -

Type: Water
Ability: Surfing Core/Adaptability
Surfing Core: Copies the Special Defense stat of the opponent on switch-in.

Base stats: 100/100/100/100/100/100 | BST: 600
Useful Moves:
Physical:
Crabhammer, Return, Waterfall, Extreme Speed, Close Combat, Zen Headbutt, U-Turn, Dragon Tail
Special: Surf, Hyper Voice, Hydro Pump, Vacuum Wave, Psychic, Volt Switch
Status: Sketch (ONCE), Will-o-Wisp, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Roar
Sprite: 2busydidntmakeone
Weight: 82 kg
Gender: Default
Competitive use: Same as Palaflame, but doesnt take recoil on it's good physical move.
Is it broken?: The single sketch is nice, but seeing as it doesnt naturally have reliable recovery OR a set up move, chances are this wont do very well for it.

My legendary quartet, the Elemental Guardians, is based off of the 4 elements: Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. These pokemon were created by Arceus to restore the world to its original state after Kyogre and Groudon's first battle. Today, they're locked up in 4 different chambers, only said to only appear in times of great danger to the world.

This legendary quartet sleeps at the far reaches of the ocean floor, where they power the ocean currents and maintain the purity of the waters. Each of them represents a different one of the great ocean basins and embodies a different aspect of the sea.

Atlampra is a dragon fish, with a bright, electrified frill, and multiple lure appendages. It represents the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the deep ocean that light doesn't penetrate. Volpacifa is a sea turtle with a glowing red, steel-rimmed shell. It represents deep sea tectonic boundaries and the processes that create volcanic islands like hawaii. It is named after the Pacific Ocean, which contains the ring of fire, a ring of volcanically active tectonic boundaries. Coralindia is a hammerhead shark made of coral, and trailing streamers of seaweed. It represents the Indian Ocean and coral reefs. Finally, Arcturna represents the Arctic Ocean and the tides. It is a silvery-blue shrimp with long, trailing arms. It's body forms the shape of a crescent moon.

Signature Ability: Oceanic - This pokemon is immune to Water-type moves and deals 30% more damage with their own Water-type moves.

Signature Move: Sacred Current -
|
| 10-16 PP | Boosts the user's two highest stats by 1 each

Shared Movepool:
: Liquidtion, Aqua Tail, Waterfall, Earthquake
: Hydro Pump, Surf, Whirlpool, Ice Beam, Focus Blast
: Sacred Current, Soak

Ability: Oceanic
Stats: 95 / 135 / 75 / 110 / 65 / 100 (BST: 580)
Movepool:
: Outrage, Dragon Claw, Wild Charge, Thunder Fang, Aqua Jet, Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Crunch, Sucker Punch,
: Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Scald, Flash Cannon,
: Taunt, Agility,
In addition to shared movepool
Weight: 59 kg
Height: 1.8 m
Gender: Genderless
Egg Group: Undiscovered
Competitive use: A setup sweeper with huge offenses and a very wide movepool, only held back by a lack of solid physical STAB options. It's STAB types provide good neutral coverage, and boosted Water moves pair well with them. Mixed sets are also possible, using special STABs and physical coverage moves like Earthquake, Fire Fang, and Sucker Punch.
Is it broken?: It doesn't have great STAB moves to abuse its high attack with, and its middling speed and mediocre bulk should make it struggle to switch in much. The only issue might be guessing which set it is running.

Ability: Oceanic
Stats: 95 / 110 / 135 / 100 / 75 / 65 (BST: 580)
Movepool:
: Flare Blitz, Iron Head, Stone Edge, Superpower,
: Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Lava Plume, Flash Cannon, Scald, Earth Power
: Stealth Rock, Haze, Rock Polish, Morning Sun, Metal Burst
In addition to shared movepool
Weight: 247 kg
Height: 1.5 m
Gender: Genderless
Egg Group: Undiscovered
Competitive use: A physical tank with a great set of resistances and immunities, and sky-high defense. It has reliable recovery and stat boosting to stand out over Heatran, in addition to a different immunity.
Is it broken?: Its low SpD and 4x Ground weakness should prevent it from being unbreakable.

Ability: Oceanic
Stats: 135 / 100 / 75 / 95 / 65 / 110 (BST: 580)
Movepool:
: Head Smash, Stone Edge, Power Whip, Horn Leech, Superpower, Crunch, Ice Fang,
: Giga Drain, Energy Ball, Solarbeam, Power Gem, Scald,
: Stealth Rock, Taunt, Leech Seed, Spikes, Synthesis
In addition to shared movepool
Weight: 122 kg
Height: 2.3 m
Gender: Genderless
Egg Group: Undiscovered
Competitive use: A fast hazard setter and Head Smash spammer. Its mediocre Atk is offset by its high powered STAB moves. It has high enough HP to not completely own itself with recoil, and also have decent bulk to set up with. Thanks to its high HP stat it can also get pretty bulky with HP investment, potentially making use of Scald and Spikes. Rock teams will appreciate having a fast Spikes setter around.
Is it broken?: I think it's a jack of all trades, but a master of none. While its Head Smash Is scary, it's coverage moves are weak, and while it has good physical bulk, it cuts into this with Head Smash's huge recoil. 110 Speed is good for a Spiker, but not amazing.

Ability: Oceanic
Stats: 100 / 75 / 65 / 110 / 135 / 95 (BST: 580)
Movepool:
: U-turn
: Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Blizzard, Psychic
: Aurora Veil, Moonlight, Wish, Heal Bell, Gravity
In addition to shared movepool
Weight: 15 kg
Height: 0.8 m
Gender: Genderless
Egg Group: Undiscovered
Competitive use: A bulky pivot or setup sweeper with great coverage. With a Timid EV spread Sacred Current will boost Spe and SpA. It could also make for a decent Assault Vest user, again thanks to its wide coverage movepool that supports its STABs, as well as U-turn.
Is it broken?: It has some really nasty weaknesses and low Def, and it isn't strong enough to punch through walls if it can't hit them Super Effectively.

That’s fine 570 is OK too (forgot about the Tapus for some reason). Are all yours pure Normal type?

"After Arceus created mankind, It saw that they wandered and acted aimlessly, with not as much ambition as It wanted in them. Even with the gifts of knowledge, emotion, and willpower granted by Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, humans still lacked something: guidance. Even the brightest and strongest of people were vulnerable to the temptation of sin, which caused them to stray from the path to salvation Arceus had created for humanity to walk. Arceus wondered to Itself, how could mankind be guided to salvation? How can they be protected from themselves? Who will guard humanity in Arceus' absence and piously lead them to their true destination? After watching humans being conquered by their own sin for millennia, It formed a new egg from Its body. From this egg hatched four new Pokemon: Kuravana, the one who hears all and the ruler of rain; Viruvana, the one who promotes abundance and the ruler of the wind; Astravana, the upholder and preserver of the righteous path; and Paksavana, the one who sees all and judges all who stray from the path. These Pokemon came to be known as the Heavenly Guardians, charged with guiding humanity to salvation on the true path and guarding them from sin. With their creation, Arceus could sense the spirits of the many people who began following the path, and even though not all humans did so, there shined a ray of hope that someday, humanity might join Arceus and the other gods in the heavens."

This legendary quartet is based on the Four Heavenly Kings, mythological beings/gods who originate from Hinduism and have since spread into other Eastern religions like Buddhism. The "true path" refers to the Eightfold Path in Buddhism, the way to salvation or nirvana. Kuravana is the master of this quartet, which is why it has 600 BST while the others have 580 BST.

OK everyone, voting time! Vote for your 2 favourite groups. You may not vote for your own. I will endeavour to get the votes counted on Friday, if I feel there have been enough, or it’s clear there won’t be any more. Spook could you please finish your Pokemon ASAP.

As for my votes, I’ll be going with Scoopapa ’s Oceanic Quartet and Origin0 ’s Heavenly Spirits.
