Introduction
Froslass was an obvious partner, since Mimikyu serves as a secondary spinblocker. Froslass is the best Spike user in UU since it always guarantees at least one layer, whereas Klefki and Chestnaught have next to no tools to prevent common Defoggers like Rotom-H, Gligar, and Empoleon. Mega Sharpedo is a near must-have on HO, especially alongisde Froslass. Its ability to clean late game is unparalleled (except to maybe Scizor) while also serving as a mid-game breaker if need be. It helps that the most common Fairy-types are weak to Ice Fang, so it is often difficult to stop it. Cobalion is the teams Stealth Rock setter, and one of the better offensive ones in the tier since Kommo-o left. Unlike Terrakion, Cobalion serves as a phenomenal Scizor check with Superpower being fairly uncommon now. The remaining two slots are also HO staples: CM 3 attacks Latias offers amazing defensive utility for HO. Ground-immuniy, Fighting-type resist, great speed tier, Scald switch-in etc while Mamoswine is terrifying with a Spike up and checks the ever-annoying Mega Manectric and Mega Aerodactyl.
The team went 2-0 in UU open and has also granted me great ladder success (what really matters imo). It has notable weaknesses, including the broken ass Primarina and not-so-broken Cobalion, but what I love about this team is nothing outright 6-0s it offensively nor walls it entirely. With the proper aggressive plays, it can break through most teams.

Mega Sharpedo has been the face of HO since the tier's inception, and this is its flagship set. Protect is an absolute must to get that crucial Speed boost. Crunch and Ice Fang are also mandatory, being its strongest STAB move and Ice Fang offers crucial coverage against Togekiss, Mega Altaria, Hydreigon, and Krookodile. Psychic Fangs is the last move because Amoonguss is running the meta right now, and it also nabs OHKOs on Terrakion while hitting Primarine fairly hard. Earthquake has its merits, but Klefki is not a Pokemon and Cobalion is not as prevalent as the aforementioned Pokemon. Adamant nature over Jolly because outspeeding Scarf Hydreigon is not as important since Mimikyu gets a free SD on it, and Krookodile beats you with or without the Jolly nature.

CM Latias is one of the team's two primary breakers. Phenomenal typing and defensive stats gives it ample opportunities to come in, setup, and break. Due to the fall of Empoleon's prominence, I opt for the classic STABS set with HP Fire > Roost to nail Scizor. On fast-paced team like this, Roost is unnecessary as you'd rather be attacking instead of losing momentum. Latias is also the team's primary check to Cobalion and other Fighting types, so it is crucial to not lose it early on without chipping them. Latias is also the team's sole Ground-immunity, making it very important against Scarf Krookodile (even if it cannot hard switch in). Its presence is enough to dissuade it from spamming EQ while the rest of the team punish it if it decides to predict the switch and use Knock Off.

- Destiny Bond
Froslass is such a good Spiker I am surprised it is not used more. Ghost-typing + fast Taunt guarantees you get at least one layer. Icy Wind is a fantastic tool to cripple stuff like Mega Aerodactyl, Scarf Hydreigon, Latias etc to let anything come in and wrech havoc. Players often lead in a way to minimize the Spikes, so you can use that to your advantage and lead with something like Cobalion instead (think Scizor U-Turn into Hydreigon, for example). Destiny Bond often does not get a trade, but its presence is enough to force a ton of switches and let you get more layers of Spikes up. Max HP over SpA is to tank more hits since you aren't dealing damage with a base 55 power move. Cursed Body is also a nice ability that cripples faster Pokemon and gives you potential setup opportunities. The biggest mistake is sacking this unnecessarily early on when you can preserve it at 1% as a potential sack later on (like when Scizor BPs it turn 1, then you should go Cobalion to get SR up and keep Froslass).

Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt

- Iron Head
Memes of Cobalion behind sewage aside, it is one of the tier's best offensive Scizor checks since it eats both boosted BP and Quick Attack, while SD Superpower is uncommon. Cobalion serves as the teams rocker and pivot into stuff like Scizor, Hydreigon to avoid popping Mimikyu's disguise, Blissey, etc. Taunt is a great tech to maintain hazards against stuff like Gligar and Rotom-H while depriving SR from the opponent as well and stopping Scizor from Roost stalling you. The last two moves are mandatory STABs. Iron Head is sometimes dropped on non-SD Cobalion, but the team has no Fairy-type resist so it would be foolish to do that here. Shuca Berry is the item used because Latias as the sole Ground-resist is asking to lose to Krookodile. Cobalion can pivot in early in the game and force it out, and if hazards are up it will slowly get chipped into Mamoswine's or Sharpedo's range. Shuca Berry also comes in handy for a bunch of stray Ground-types like Hippowdon, Nidos, and EQ Mega Aero.

Even if the opponent has a solid defensive counter like Mega Aggron or Amoonguss, it can still trade itself for important chip damage to allow Mega Sharpedo to sweep later.

Adamant Nature

- Ice Shard
Another HO staple is the fabled Mamosiwne. It's pretty uncommon in SM UU due to lack of defensive utility, but Ice-type priority is so good for offense that it is super splashable on this archtype. With SR + a Spike up, its list of counters go from 3 possible Pokemon to zero (maybe Mega Slowbro can take it on). There really is not much to say about Mamoswine, just click the right buttons and watch things drop. It's important to note that Rotom-H can Defog on it fairly freely, so do not recklessly spam EQ in this matchup.

Conclusion
With SM drawing to a close, I wanted to share this team so people can see what HO looks like (also for the free likes so you better smash that button, fools). I really enjoy what UU is like, even though many disagree. There are understandable many threats, but I still think there is enough leeway in the builder for innovation to succeed. Hope you enjoyed the team!jaws (i am shark) (Sharpedo-Mega) @ Sharpedonite
