Pet Mod metamons slate 12 - Sunflora, Articuno, Passimian, Frogadier

:bw/emolga:
Pokémon: Emolga (can use light ball!!)
Stats: 75/50/60/55/60/104
Abilities: Motor Drive
Typing: Flying
Move Changes: +Close Combat, Aura Sphere, Focus Blast, Hurricane, Icy Wind | -Electric moves except Thunder Wave, Wild Charge, Nuzzle
Summary of Changes: Light Ball compatible, Moves, Stats, -Electric, -Static
Description: immune to electric, and can do big damage with Light Ball and Hurricane. aura sphere is nice for coverage along with Icy Wind.

:gs/espeon:
Pokémon: Espeon
Stats: 85 / 60 / 70 / 110 / 95 / 110 | 530
Abilities: Competitive / Magic Bounce
Typing: Psychic
Move Changes: + Heatwave
Description: Unnerve counterplay!!! Both Competitive and Magic Bounce lets you function as a hazard control mon with the former discouraging Defoggers(also screw up Intimidate/Unnerve mons) and the latter basically gives you free hazard. Heatwave lets you hit the other cats, 110 speed stat is great for a speed control in this meta. Can act as either a choice mon or Calm Mind sweeper.

:bw/emolga:
Pokémon: Emolga
Stats: 95 / 100 / 75 / 75 / 90 / 93 | 528
Abilities: Static / Volt Absorb
Typing: Flying / Steel
Move Changes: +Brave Bird, Earthquake, Iron Head - Volt Switch, Nuzzle
Description: Defogger with good spdef stat and a hard hitting Brave Bird, can counter Sylveon and Salazzle.

:ss/espeon:
Pokémon: Espeon
Stats: 80 / 65 / 65 / 115 / 100 / 95 [520 BST]
Abilities: Magic Bounce
Typing: Psychic/Fire
Move Changes: +Mystical Fire
Summary of Changes:
Stats: +15 HP, +5 Def, -15 SpA, +5 SpD, -15 Spe
Abilities: -Synchronize
Typing: +Fire typing
Moves: respective section
Description: Setup sweeper that uses Magic Bounce to dissuade hazards and passive damage. Psychic/Fire doesn't have much in the way of resistances in the meta, so Calm Mind in tandem with Psychic/Mystical Fire can put in some serious work. Unnerve mons like Sandslash and Perrserker make it less effective, and both are able to hit it hard in return.

:ss/toxicroak:
Pokémon: Toxicroak
Stats: 75 / 106 / 91 / 65 / 65 / 99 [501 BST]
Abilities: Dry Skin | Poison Touch
Typing: Poison / Fighting
Move Changes: -Swords Dance, Bulk Up, Sucker Punch
Summary of Changes:
Stats: -8 HP, +26 Def, - 21 SpA, +14 Spe
Abilities: -Anticipation
Moves: respective section
Description: Puts water-types like Mantine to a stop basically with Dry Skin. Poison/Fighting in tandem with a good attack stat lets it go toe-to-toe with the likes of Sylveon and Alolan Persian, and coverage in Ice Punch / Knock Off lets it deal with mons like Sandslash and Perrserker. Its speed falls just outside the 100 benchmark though, so faster mons like Tauros, Arcanine, and Salazzle can put a dent in or outright stop it.

Summary of Changes: Attack Buff, Given New Abilities, Typing, and Expanded Movepool
Description: Either an offensive utility/pivot or a sweeper. Abuses both Band Perrserker and Specs Sylveon by switching into their most powerful moves. Its moveset can also pressure Sableye by using taunt, heal bell, play rough, or entrainment.

Pokémon: Espeon
Stats: 95 / 65 / 100 / 100 / 70 / 95 (BST: 525)
Abilities: Magic Bounce / Trace
Typing: Psychic / Water
Move Changes: +Scald, +Teleport, +Knock Off, +Focus Blast, -Calm Mind, -Wish, -Morning Sun
Summary of Changes: Stat rework (+30 HP, +40 Def, -30 SpA, -25 SpD, -15 Spe), new typing, movepool changes and new abilities
Description: Instead of fully focusing on its CM sweeper potential, now I'm focusing on its anti-SR users potential as now you can straight up smash SR and Spikes users while also having not terrible defensive stats. Trace is overall nice as well since if you already have got enough hazzard measure, you can now Trace some nice abilities like Unnerve, Regenerator, and Intimidate. Teleport, Knock Off and Focus Blast are all nice tools to perform its niche as a pseudo-wall able to beat SR users while having nice utility and coverage, plus Future Sight might have some potential alongside Teleport. It seems like a cool anti-hazard mon and thus I think it might perform well on the metagame without being completely insane since its stats are, while solid (95 Speed is a good Speed Tier in metamons yuh), not high enough to compensate for its weaknesses overall, plus it's exploited by the always-good Sylveon.

Summary of Changes: +20 HP, +32 Atk, +10 Def, +10 SpD, +10 Spe
Description: fast fighting. hits hard and is a good offensive pivot.

Pokémon: Espeon
Stats: 95 / 60 / 130 / 110 / 65 / 65 (525)
Abilities: Synchronize / Magic Bounce
Typing: Psychic / Fighting
Move Changes: + Body Press, Aura Sphere, Focus Blast, Knock Off, Teleport, Pain Split, -Calm Mind, Morning Sun, Wish
Summary of Changes: several swaps
Description: futureport bot. switches into almost every hazard setter but has no recovery to compensate.

Pokémon: Toxicroak
Stats: 83 / 106 / 75 / 76 / 75 / 95 (520)
Abilities: Flame Body / Dry Skin / Poison Touch
Typing: Poison / Fire
Move Changes: + Fire Lash, Flare Blitz, Overheat, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Will-o-Wisp
Summary of Changes: +10 Def, -10 SpA, +10 SpD, +10 Spe
Description: difference between this and the million other dry skin croaks is that this mon checks kingler who is absolutely stupid (who approved 140/95 offenses w the water/freezedry combo fr)

:ss/Emolga:
Pokémon: Emolga
Stats: 90 / 75 / 70 / 100 / 70 / 113 {BST: 518}
Abilities: Static / Volt Absorb
Typing: Electric / Flying
Move Changes: + Wish
Summary of Changes: Motor Drive → Volt Absorb, Buffed stats, +Wish
Description: Sort of like a mini Zapdos. Emolga has already got some really cool utility that lets it stand out, such as more utility moves like Taunt, Encore and Knock Off, while also being a hazard remover. It can act as both an offensive and defensive pivot with its movepool being pretty diverse.

:ss/Espeon:
Pokémon: Espeon
Stats: 65 / 60 / 110 / 130 / 65 / 95
Abilities: Synchronize / Magic Bounce
Typing: Psychic / Ground
Move Changes: + Earth Power
Summary of Changes: Changed Stats, + Earth Power
Description: Most hazard setters here just happen to be weak to Ground-type attacks, so this mon aims to abuse that, especially considering that its speed tier lets it get the jump on most of them. No pivoting + bad spDef is not good means it’s not as bulky as it may seem, especially considering it’s common weaknesses

:ss/Toxicroak:
Pokémon: Toxicroak
Stats: 83 / 106 / 65 / 86 / 65 / 95
Abilities: Anticipation / Dry Skin / Poison Touch
Typing: Poison / Ground
Move Changes: N/A
Summary of Changes: +10 speed, Fighting → Ground
Description: Mon doesn’t really need that much, just some more speed and a typing that makes it fit into this meta a bit better (I think). Mantine and Sylveon answer and it hits a lot of the metagame for SE damage with its stabs.

-U-Turn.
Summary of Changes:
+20 HP, +5 ATK, +15 DEF, -15 SPA, +15 SPD, +20 SPE, 2 New Moves, 1 Removed Move.
Description: Amazing pivot able to check dangerous threats such as Sylveon, spread status, and take advantage of its variety of support moves such as Defog, Knock Off and Nuzzle. Its relatively weak defenses hold it down, though, and many neutral hits will be able to wear it down pretty easily.

These new winners will make some impact on the tier, or maybe not. Be sure to find out!

Next, i want to talk about BALANCE CHANGES. Buffs, nerfs, reworks and everything will come here. Currently, mostly buffs, but one mon got "reworked", and we will give justifications for each and every change.

Salazzle: +10 HP, 5 Def, 5 SpD, +Multiscale
Salazzle just didn't hold up with the newer slate Pokémon. It wasn't nearly as dominant from slate 4 onwards, and, while it was a mon that could even be nerfed on slates 1 to 3, it now is a B+ Pokémon. Seriously, B+, and the lowest rank is B. Multiscale helps it to sweep more and the small bulk boosts help it withstand priority moves a little bit better.

Whimsicott: +10 HP, 10 Spe
Now moving on to a better Pokémon in the metagame, Whimsicott still isn't that great. The buffs we did were extremely simple because they give it some advantages to it, especially with the Speed buff. 10 HP lets it stomach hits better, and 10 Spe makes it outspeed Persian-Alola by 1 point, which is funny and good for cott.

Kingler:
-Ice, -15 Atk, -Freeze-Dry, +Superpower, Rock Slide
The thing with Kingler is that it well, did a lot more damage than it was wanted to thanks to its enormous attack stat. Kingler wasn't as viable on the start of the meta due to the onipresent Mach Punch Aqua Jet Technician Grapploct, and also Sableye and the more hazard stacking nature of the meta was not benefitting it due to it being weak to rocks. Its Ice type also made it not the best Sheer Force abuser at that time, but then people started using Freeze-Dry sets when the metagame became more stable, and it turned into a huge threat, decimating teams on friendly matches and yesterday's first tournament. This helps it making it not unwallable and also better for its Sheer Force purposes, as being rocks weak sucked for it, since it couldn't run SFLO. -15 Atk hurts but it is also healed by Superpower and Rock Slide being given to it back.

Bastiodon: -Rock-type, +Ground-Type
The thing with Bastiodon is... it's bad. Sure, it has rocks, massive defensive stats, AND reliable recovery, but on the other hand, it has two x4 weaknesses to strong types on the meta, and is also passive as hell. The ground type being added just makes it worth to run on teams, which is good.

Tauros: +10 Atk, 10 Spa
Tauros has the capability to hit hard on both sides, but it's.... underwhelming i guess? Not really much to say about this one, enjoy the buff ig? It won't be B+ anymore i think though.

Ariados: +Bug Buzz, 5 Atk, 5 SpA
This mon just feels like a do nothing mon on some scenarios, even if it's a good web setter. Now it can potentially dominate some Pokémon with Draco and its newly gained actually good STAB in Bug Buzz, maybe even being a potent threat! We'll see it as time goes on.

Those are all. We might do more of these sooner or later, so keep an eye out!

Now, the thing you were all actually waiting for!!!

:bw/abomasnow:
Pokémon: Abomasnow
Stats: 70 / 92 / 70 / 92 / 65 / 90 (BST: 479)
Abilities: Snow Warning / Skill Link / Soundproof
Typing: Ground / Ice
Move Changes: -Swords Dance
Summary of Changes: Stats (-20 HP, -5 Def, -20 SpD, +30 Spe), new typing, new abilities and move changes
Description: Honestly I think the typing's very based overall and its versatility is quite amazing, as it's got a wide movepool, solid stats and neat abilities, however, all of the sets have their counterplay, as for example Specs hits like a truck but its very prediction reliant as a lot of things can take an EP and Blizzard gets walled by Steel-types, so you have to constantly predict. Skill Link sets on other hand are very fun, as they alleviate the Unnerve issue, however, it's more vulnerable to burn now, so that means stuff like Sableye can wall it now. Soundproof is niche, but helps it to hard check Sylveon. Overall I think it'll be very well balanced by its middle Speed Tier and the fact it can't just fit everything it wants in one, but it's still very cool overall.

:bw/granbull:
Pokémon: Granbull
Stats: 80 / 100 / 85 / 70 / 45 / 91 (BST: 471)
Abilities: Intimidate / Rattled / Sticky Hold
Rattled: It also gets its Speed boosted if gets statused

Typing: Fire / Fairy
Move Changes: +Flare Blitz, +U-turn
Summary of Changes: Stat rework (-10 HP, -20 Atk, +10 Def, +10 SpA, -15 SpD, +46 Spe), new typing, new abilities and move changes.
Description: Anti meta mon overall, as it checks Perrserker, Persian-Alola, Sableye, Tsareena, Duraludon and Houndoom in one slot while it can also fill the 80-100 speed gap as my Obama sub does. Flare Blitz + Play Rough is really tough to switch into if you don't have an Arcanine, who can get chunked by EQ. It's abilities are also quite good too, you just have to choose whether if you want to get your free Speed boost into status (ie: Toxic Bleye), thing which might allow it to pull off super interesting techs like Facade as a filler (which is very based), if you want a PhysDef glue or if you just want it to not lose its Boots. Solid mon too.

Typing: Fairy/Fighting
Move Changes: +Drain Punch
Summary of Changes:
Stats: +35 Def, +20 SpD, +35 Spe
Abilities: -Rattled, +Defiant
Typing: +Fighting
Moves: respective section
Description: Essentially a pokemon that primarily serves as a powerful attacking option but can also viably go for more support-based options. Intimidate is great for stopping Physical attackers, while Defiant is great for punishing Intimidate and Unnerve. However, it has mediocre special bulk so strong special attackers [most notably Espeon & Salazzle] can and should be enough to stop it. Typing is also a double-edged-sword; sure being able to hit Bastiodon and Druddigon with your STABs is great but the typing also grants you nasty weaknesses to mons such as Sylveon.

Also, we only have ONE fighting-type here and that's Grapploct, figured now'd be a good time to tap into an underused typing.

Pokémon: Eldegoss
Stats: 90/50/70/80/120/90 (510 BST)
Abilities: Cotton Down / Regenerator / Effect Spore
Typing: Grass / Poison
Move Changes: + Recover, Defog, Spore, Teleport
Summary of Changes: Yes
Description: "Eldegoss gets no moves" <- lying bitch, this dude literally gets Rapid Spin, Leech Seed, and Aromatherapy. Anyways, resisting Electric, Fairy and Water is pretty nice rn, and a Fighting resist is always gonna be good, though weaknesses to Fire and Ice blow major ass. Eldegoss has insane SpDef and can tank a lot of hits, with Regenerator giving it a huge amount of longevity when combined with Teleport as well. It's a very effective special tank, with additional utility from Leech Seed, Aromatherapy, Teleport and Defog/Rapid Spin and also Spore. Mon literally crumbles to physically offensive mons and STAB se hits but ignore that.

New and Hot Off The Press! This bitch gets Spore now. Did you think you could escape Sleep? Well think again mother fucker, Eldegoss is here to absorb every special move in existence and then put your bitchass special attacker to sleep. Mon no longer has access to Toxic though, which makes wearing through its checks a lot more challenging.

:bw/granbull:
Pokémon: Granbull
Stats: 90/60/75/120/65/55 (465 BST)
Abilities: Intimidate / Quick Feet / Rattled*
Usual Rattled effects + Rattled now activates when affected by Unnerve (it already activates with Intimidate)
Typing: Fairy / Steel
Move Changes: + Flash Cannon, Steel Beam, Spikes, Moonlight
Summary of Changes: All of the above
Description: This tbh. A Steel that kinda bridges the gap between Perrserker and Bastiofuck, being a mon that offers both wallbreaking potential and a lot of defensive utility as well. Meta has a shit ton of physical mons rn so made it special attacker bc why not? Granbull has some weirdly good special coverage, might as well let it take advantage of it. Intimidate is a universally good ability, but Rattled is surprisingly effective given its 4x Bug and x2 Dark resistance, heavily discouraging the opponent from just clicking U-turn or Knock off vs it. It's also pretty neat for anti-Ghosts, since it can tank a Poltergeist or Shadow Sneak probably idk I haven't calced it yet (nor will I ever). Has decent utility with Spikes, Heal Bell, and Taunt as well. Mostly held back by mediocre bulk outside of Intimidate, semi-shitty recovery in Moonlight, and Arcanine being a Pokemon

:bw/abomasnow:
Pokémon: Abomasnow
Stats: 90/62/75/90/75/102 (494 BST)
Abilities: Snow Warning / Soundproof
Typing: Ice / Rock
Move Changes: + Power Gem, Meteor beam, Stealth Rock, - Earth Power
Summary of Changes: Yes
Description: Comedy mon. Fast Ice-type with interesting anti-meta offensive type, letting it hit several top threats such as Tsareena, Persian-A, Whimsicott, Sandslash, and Type Suction Eel (does that thing run Type Suction? idk maybe). With Focus Blast, and potentially Energy Ball/Leaf Storm, it can smack a surprising amount of the metagame. Abomasnow also gets Aurora Veil and Stealth Rock, the first being a godsend for HO teams thanks to its high Speed, and the later being generally useful. Its main flaw, of course, is its non-existent bulk on top of being an Ice-type. That 4x Fighting weakness and 4x Steel Weakness with Perrserker running around is pretty nasty
