Mewtwo-Mega-Y @ Mewtwonite Y
Ability: Insomnia
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psystrike
- Focus Blast
- Ice Beam
- Calm Mind
The Pokemon my team is based around, Mewtwo poses the great aspect of having an insanely high Special Attack, capable of outspeeding a majority of the metagame after Calm Mind boosts:

+2 252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-Y Focus Blast vs. 152 HP / 44 SpD Groudon-Primal: 368-434 (97 - 114.5%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

236+ Atk Groudon-Primal Precipice Blades vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mewtwo-Mega-Y: 364-429 (103.1 - 121.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-Y Psystrike vs. 184 HP / 28 Def Xerneas: 450-529 (102.5 - 120.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252+ SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. +2 0 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo-Mega-Y: 195-231 (55.2 - 65.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-Y Psystrike vs. 172 HP / 0 Def Kyogre-Primal: 363-427 (94.5 - 111.1%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

252+ SpA Kyogre-Primal Origin Pulse vs. +1 0 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo-Mega-Y in Heavy Rain: 217-256 (61.4 - 72.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 252+ SpA Kyogre-Primal Origin Pulse vs. +1 0 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo-Mega-Y in Heavy Rain: 324-382 (91.7 - 108.2%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

With Calm Mind boosts, this Pokemon outspeeds and KOes all important ‘mons in the metagame. The only problem is getting Mewtwo up to +2, as its fragility is a huge bane.

Xerneas @ Power Herb
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 184 HP / 28 Def / 252 SpA / 44 Spe
Modest Nature
- Geomancy
- Moonblast
- Thunder
- Focus Blast
Helpfully, with Mewtwo’s weakness to Dark-types—
0- Atk Dark Aura Yveltal Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mewtwo-Mega-Y: 420-494 (118.9 - 139.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
—the best Pokemon in the tier with everything to counter them has been introduced to destroy them. Meet Xerneas, by far the best Pokemon (besides Primal Groudon) for generations to come. With Geomancy and a high Special Attack, this is every Dark-types nightmare (excluding Darkrai if Xerneas has been sent to sleep. But I usually use Mewtwo for that one:).

252+ SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Yveltal: 458-542 (100.6 - 119.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

0- Atk Dark Aura Yveltal Foul Play vs. 184 HP / 28 Def Xerneas: 78-92 (17.7 - 20.9%) -- possible 5HKO

252+ SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Arceus-Dark: 390-462 (87.8 - 104%) -- 25% chance to OHKO

0 SpA Dread Plate Arceus-Dark Judgment vs. 184 HP / 0 SpD Xerneas: 76-90 (17.3 - 20.5%) -- possible 5HKO

+2 252+ SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. +1 252 HP / 0 SpD Arceus-Dark: 518-612 (116.6 - 137.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 0 SpA Dread Plate Arceus-Dark Judgment vs. +2 184 HP / 0 SpD Xerneas: 57-68 (12.9 - 15.4%) -- possible 7HKO

No Dark-type bar Darkrai can possibly kill Xerneas, and Xerneas itself can KO a portion of the metagame too.

Yveltal @ Leftovers
Ability: Dark Aura
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Toxic
- Taunt
Yveltal was originally meant to compress three roles: Dark-type attacker for Ghostceus and Gengar-Mega, U-Turn user to switch in Mewtwo, and tank. However, this proved too much for the Destruction Pokemon, and was relegated to the role of Tank, and a back-up Dark-type attacker. This also breaks Stall with the combination of Taunt and Toxic.

Calcs:
252 SpA Gengar-Mega Hex (130 BP) vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Yveltal: 131-154 (28.7 - 33.8%) -- 99.3% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery and burn damage

252 SpA Arceus-Ghost Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Yveltal: 125-148 (27.4 - 32.5%) -- 69.9% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 252 SpA Arceus-Ghost Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Yveltal: 187-220 (41 - 48.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252 SpA Arceus-Ghost Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Yveltal: 249-294 (54.7 - 64.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

By which time after setting up for so long:

0- Atk Dark Aura Yveltal Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Arceus-Ghost: 242-288 (63.5 - 75.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after toxic damage

Yveltal would never even let the opponent set up to +2 anyway he would have taunted him so...

Arceus @ Life Orb
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Claw
- Earthquake
As a late-game sweeper that appreciates the removal of Ghost-types, I have him a spot on my team due to Yveltal. As proof of his late-game-sweeping prowess here are some calcs (I have recognized that calcs are the best way to use up the 3-line minimum):

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Earthquake vs. 152 HP / 0 Def Groudon-Primal: 354-419 (93.4 - 110.5%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO

+4 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 184 HP / 28 Def Xerneas: 487-575 (110.9 - 130.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 172 HP / 0 Def Kyogre-Primal: 351-413 (91.4 - 107.5%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

+6 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Yveltal: 477-563 (104.8 - 123.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

It’s only problem is that it takes time to set-up and is a bit frail (not putting in calcs), being 2HKOed by all relevant ‘mons in the metagame bar Yveltal.

Genesect @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Download
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 68 HP / 248 Atk / 8 SpA / 184 Spe
Hasty Nature
- U-turn
- Iron Head
- Ice Beam
- Blaze Kick
Remember how one of Yveltal’s roles was as a U-Turner? Well, since Yveltal can’t provide U-Turn support anymore, I had to get a U-Turner.
And well, I came upon Genesect.
As the next-best U-Turner after Yveltal was Scizor, but I already had a mega. After it was Zekrom, but that added yet another Xerneas weakness and I didn’t want that. So I had to make do with Genesect, which killed Xerneas after a fashion:

248 Atk Genesect Iron Head vs. 184 HP / 28 Def Xerneas: 252-296 (57.4 - 67.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 68 HP / 0 SpD Genesect: 118-140 (39.3 - 46.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

But:
+2 252+ SpA Xerneas Focus Blast vs. 68 HP / 0 SpD Genesect: 302-356 (100.6 - 118.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

If Xerneas used Geomancy before Genesect came in:

+1 248 Atk Genesect Iron Head vs. 184 HP / 28 Def Xerneas: 374-444 (85.1 - 101.1%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO

Darkrai @ Focus Sash
Ability: Bad Dreams
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Void
- Dark Pulse
- Nasty Plot
- Thunder
The last member of this team, it takes on Yveltal’s former role of being a Dark-type attacker. The Dark Void/Hypnosis + Bad Dreams combo is insane, with a 80% chance of causing Sleep. While the opponent snoozes/switches, Darkrai has a free turn to set-up, possibly allowing it to OHKO potent threats to the team:

+6 252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Dark Pulse vs. +2 184 HP / 0 SpD Xerneas: 177-209 (40.3 - 47.6%) -- 54.7% chance to 2HKO after Bad Dreams (not that it would get up to that :)

+2 252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Dark Pulse vs. 152 HP / 44 SpD Groudon-Primal: 364-429 (96 - 113.1%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Bad Dreams

+2 252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Thunder vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Yveltal: 647-762 (142.1 - 167.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Thunder vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Kyogre-Primal: 426-502 (105.7 - 124.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Thanks for reading, and please give helpful comments!

FYI, this will get locked because you can't make two RMTs within two weeks of each other. But the one thing I notice with the team is the lack of hazards/hazard control. With such an offensive team, I would suggest something like an Excadrill that can fill both roles.

Excadrill @ Focus Sash
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic
- Earthquake

Hi - I'm locking your RMT for the time being since you're only allowed to post one team every two weeks. This is stated in the forum rules. I'll reopen this thread on June 27th upon request.

Edit: open
