Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Return
- Close Combat
- U-turn / Quick Attack

Never pulling its punches, Mega Lopunny is one of the most consistent revenge killers and pivots in National Dex OU! It has an unresisted STAB combination and amazing Speed tier, which lets it revenge kill the likes of Weavile, Ash-Greninja, and Tapu Koko with ease. Fake Out lets Mega Lopunny slowly wear down faster threats like Quiver Dance Volcarona and Mega Gyarados to revenge kill them later, as well as chipping frailer Pokemon like Serperior and Victini to immediately KO them afterwards. U-turn lets Mega Lopunny take advantage of the switches it forces, bringing in a teammate like Kyurem or Tapu Koko. Quick Attack is an alternative that has incredible synergy with Fake Out, letting Mega Lopunny better pick off weakened, faster threats like +1 Mega Gyarados and Ash-Greninja. Offensive Z-Move Zapdos is an incredibly good partner, as it baits in and removes Ground-types that check Mega Lopunny like Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Gliscor. Zapdos also forms a solid VoltTurn core with Mega Lopunny, pivoting out on special walls like Chansey and Heatran for it to take advantage of. Spikes support from Ferrothorn lets Mega Lopunny pick up KOs versus Pokemon like Toxapex and Slowbro.

oh how i wish speed control was a term we could use :sob:

anyways, ur fake out mentions sucks, fake outing into a lando is a waste does nothing and potentially accrues helm chip, wash like, idk when this scenario is happening but its not. u want to mention it hitting faster targets that u want to rk like boosted volc, mgyara etc, as well as stuff that are nearly but not all the way in range of return or cc, idk if u can think of examples for this but if u can then :thumbs-up:

for qa mention specifically the synergy with fake out here, that's a big part of why its used, esp in the previously mentioned scenarios ie (I'm tryna find a replay from this from ndpl and tryna find out if we can include it, if we can ill lyk)

e: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen8nationaldex-648132

change the fini spike mention to something else methinks, its not rlly a target for lop unless worst case, maybe slowbro is better

at the start u also want to add a small mention abt its unresisted stabs, that's a big reason why its so good, even if its fast and not the strongest, the fact that it can click its stabs 90% of the time is huge

1/1 after this

to help a bit with gp,
. Close Combat deals huge damage to common walls like Chansey, Ferrothorn, and Heatran.
this line is uneeded
, even when locked into Water Shuriken.
this seems a bit self explainatory since its normally faster than gren

also change ur examples of mons uturn bring in, to like kyurem and maybe koko or kart idk, vile and tran arent the best mentions

Never pulling its punches, Mega Lopunny is one of the most consistent and premier revenge killers and pivots in National Dex OU! It has an unresisted STAB combination and amazing Speed tier that lets it outrun tier, which lets it revenge kill the likes of Weavile, Ash-Greninja, and Tapu Koko, revenge killing them with ease. Fake Out lets Mega Lopunny slowly chip away at faster threats like Quiver Dance Volcarona and Mega Gyarados to revenge kill them later, as well as wear down chipping (if you dislike the repeat of "chip", replace "chip away at" with "wear down") frailer Pokemon like Serperior and Victini to immediately (I imagine this makes sense?) KO them with Return or Close Combat afterwards. U-turn lets Mega Lopunny take the role of a fast pivot, taking advantage of the switches it often forces and forces, bringing in a teammate like Kyurem or Tapu Koko. Quick Attack is an option over U-turn alternative that has incredible synergy with Fake Out and lets Out, letting Mega Lopunny better pick off weakened, faster threats like +1 Mega Gyarados and Ash-Greninja. Offensive Z-Move Zapdos is an incredibly good partner, as it baits in and removes Ground-types that check Mega Lopunny like Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Gliscor. Zapdos also forms a solid VoltTurn core with Mega Lopunny and can pivot Lopunny, pivoting out on special walls like Chansey and Heatran for it to take advantage of. Spikes support from Ferrothorn is valuable in letting lets Mega Lopunny pick up KOs versus Pokemon like Toxapex and Slowbro.
