Marshadow & Lucario: Superstar Saga

I feel like it's time to wrap this slate up. Congratulations to Bmw6446 for Excadrill & Dragonite and Lopunny & Buzzwole, and to Yung Dramps for Grovyle & Dusknoir and Regigigas & Reuniclus.

Yoshiblaze subbed the pair with the most votes (3), Musharna & Monferno!

This means that Yung Dramps has made it to Flower Rank. This will be the last submission slate for Marshadow & Lucario in Generation 7, due to this project needing some proper closure. I'm not unwilling to bring it back for Gen 8, though, and all of the pairs seen here would still be there. Any submissions are welcome, and if we get enough, I might be able to accept a few more winners.

Team: Heatran & Cresselia
Strategy: Day Night Cycle (On odd turns of being out, Heatran is lifted off the ground while Cresselia is considered grounded. On even turns of being out, Heatran is grounded while Cresselia is off the ground. When Heatran is off the ground, its Fire moves are boosted by 1.5x. When Cresselia is off the ground, its healing moves also affect Heatran.)

Heatran's Technique: Solar Eclipse (Eruption/Lunar Dance)
Type: Fire
Classification: Special
Power: 150
Accuracy: 100
Effect: Heatran is fully healed before the attack's damage is calculated. However, Cresselia loses an equal amount of HP to the amount Heatran is healed by.
Flavor: Cresselia sits in front of Heatran, and pours its energy into Heatran, which uses it to unleash a devastating attack.

Cresselia's Technique: Lunar Landing (Rest + Psycho Shift)
Type: Psychic
Classification: Status
Power: -
Accuracy: -
Effect: Cresselia Rests to full HP. It then transfers the sleep status to a random foe, which lasts one turn. If the foe is already under a status condition, Cresselia will simply wake up.
Flavor: Cresselia rests atop Heatran, the soothing warmth lulling it to sleep. This feeling is then transferred to the foe by Cresselia within the dream world, which wakes it up.

Overview: Heatran is a solid Pokemon in the Doubles metagame thanks to STAB Heat Wave and powerful Special Attack, but it can be tough for it to deal with Ground types and EQ due to its 4x weakness. However, when on a team with Cresselia, it starts in the air by default! The two rise and fall, and when they are in the sky, they possess more capabilities. Their technique synergies are solid too. Using Solar Eclipse when Heatran is airborne deals an incredible amount of damage, and Lunar Landing while Cresselia is in the air also allows Heatran to recover to full. Taking advantage of the different times of day is the key to victory with this pair.

Might as well do this resub. I'll also be making another sub or two myself.

Team: Medicham & Tapu Koko
Strategy: Plasma Aura - Any non-Mega pokemon that makes direct contact has a 30% of being paralyzed. Paralyzed pokemon take 50% more damage from physical and Electric attacks.
Medicham's Technique Synergy: Bulk Up + Charge = Lightning Armor
- Type: Electric
- Classification: (
)
- Power: -
- Accuracy: -%
- Effect: Raises Attack, Defense, Special Defense, and Speed. 20% chance of paralyzing itself.
- Flavor: Tapu Koko charges Medicham's body with electricity, stimulating his speed and reaction time.
Tapu Koko's Technique Synergy: Dazzling Gleam + Focus Blast = Great Shining
- Type: Fairy
- Classification: (
)
- Power: 120
- Accuracy: 85%
- Effect: None
- Flavor: Medicham throws Tapu Koko a Focus Blast, who imbues it with it's mythical power.
Overview: Paralysis spreading galore along with huge damage via Plasma Aura. Even without paralysis, the boost from Lightning Armor makes Medicham an utter terror, especially factoring its mega form in. Also Tapu Koko gets Fairy STAB, a piece it was desperately lacking.

Team: Slowbro & Celebi
Strategy: Delayed Reaction: All damage taken from attacks are inflicted at the end of the turn.
Slowbro's Technique Synergy: Scald + Future Sight = Underwater Boil
- Type: Water
- Classification: Special
- Power: 80
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Deals damage two turns after this move is used. At the end of that turn, the damage is calculated at that time and dealt to the Pokemon at the position the target had when the move was used. 100% chance to burn.
- Flavor (optional): Slowbro makes a giant ball of boiling water that Celebi flings into the future.
Celebi's Technique Synergy: Amnesia + Leech Seed = Brain Drain
- Type: Psychic
- Classification: Status
- Power: -
- Accuracy: -
- Effect: The Pokemon at the user's position steals 1 stage of Special Attack from the target per turn.
- Flavor (optional): Copying the chemicals the Shelder on Slowbro's tail, Celebi makes seeds that drains the intelligence of the target.
Overview: This team is for stalling. Two bulky Pokemon with an interesting damage stalling strategy. And two Synergies that weaken attackers.

Team: Mimikyu & Pinsir

Resubs

Strategy: Granite Cave Trickery - Bounces back other Pokemon's attempts at lowering this Pokemon's stat stages. If said thing were to occur, opponent moves last next turn.
Mawile's Technique Synergy: Fake Diamond Storm (Foul Play + Iron Defense)
- Type:

- Classification: (
)
- Power: 95
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Increases Defense by 2.
- Flavor: The partners whip up a storm of crystals to damage the opposing Pokémon. While they may seem like diamonds, they actually are a bunch of more common stones and ores.
Sableye's Technique Synergy: Blackout Terrain (Misty Terrain + Taunt)
- Type:

- Classification: (
)
- Power: --
- Accuracy: --
- Effect: Sets Misty Terrain for 5 turns. Taunts all Pokémon except Sableye for 3 turns. Fairy-types are immune to the Taunt.
- Flavor: The partners recreate the darkness in their original habitat, Granite Cave, angering the opponents.
Overview: They're two 380 BST Pokémon so I decided to go a bit crazy on the effects. Sure, they both have good Megas, but you can only run one Mega at a time. You'll probably want to run Mega Mawile & Sableye, as base Sableye gets priority on its Technique Synergy, prevents Mega Mawile from getting burned with it, and also has priority Recover/Pain Split/Will-o-Wisp. Mawile won't have to worry about Intimidate due to their Strategy synergy, and can even outspeed other Pokémon sometimes(!!!). With Mawile's Technique Synergy raising Defense by 2, Mawile's Intimidate and Sableye's Will-o-Wisp (before setting Misty Terrain), it'll make these low BST buddies very hard to kill with physical moves.

Strategy: Eastern Emerald Elysias - Tangrowth is immune to Water-type moves and raises its Special Attack by 1 stage when hit by a Water-type move. The partners' Leech Seed can't be removed by switching out. However, switching into a Grass-type or using Rapid Spin will remove it. If the pair isn't on field or Defog is used, Leech Seed will become removable by switching out as normal.
Gastrodon's Technique Synergy: Thermosynthesis (Scald + Giga Drain)
- Type:

- Classification: (
)
- Power: 80
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: 50% chance to burn. Drains 30% of damage dealt.
- Flavor: The partners use high temperature. While Gastrodon attacks, Tangrowth restores its teammate's HP with chlorophyll reactions from the heat.
Tangrowth's Technique Synergy: Fertile Waters (Surf + Leech Seed)
- Type:

- Classification: (
)
- Power: 90
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Hits everyone on field. If successful, sets Leech Seed on the target.
- Flavor: Stuff happens.

New sub!!

Strategy: Abominable Snowstorm - When these Pokemon come in contact with Hail, Castform's Speed is doubled, its form is changed to Snowy for the remainder of the match and Alolan Ninetales gains effects similar to that of Disguise.
Castform's Technique Synergy: Weather Breather (Weather Ball + Frost Breath)
- Type:

- Classification: (
)
- Power: 60
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: This move is always a critical hit. Power doubles if a weather condition is active, and this move's type changes to match.
- Flavor: Stuff happens.
Alolan Ninetales's Technique Synergy: Secret Light in the Snowstorm (Confide + Dazzling Gleam)
- Type:

- Classification: (
)
- Power: 80
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Hits both foes. Lowers the target's Special Attack by 1 stage.
- Flavor: Stuff happens.

Team: Pangoro & Oranguru
Strategy: Goro-guru - Any condition (Weather, Terrain or Room) summoned by a member of the pair lasts for 8 turns; if Pangoro uses Parting Shot, Oranguru switches out right after it, lowering opponent's Defense and Special Defense stats by 1.

Pangoro's Technique Synergy:
Psych-Up Punch (Power-Up Punch + Psychic Terrain)
- Type:

- Classification:

- Power: 40
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Boosts user's Attack stat by 1 and summons Psychic Terrain.
- Flavor (optional): WIP.

Oranguru's Technique Synergy:
Temporal Blast (Trick Room + Focus Blast)
- Type:

- Classification:

- Power: 80
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Lowers opponent's Special Defense by 1 and summons Trick Room.
- Flavor (optional): WIP.

Overview: WIP.
