Nothing with a defenses that high should be permitted to have Regenerator.
...but most Regenerators are naturally Fat mons :/

But oh man... THIS is a pokemon I can get behind. A Spiky Shield that Poisons, as well as access to Toxic Spikes is going to be irritating to deal with. Add the fact that its ability allows it to auto crit any poisoned Pokemon, and suddenly your opponent isn't doing so hot. I can see this on teams that would focus on killing the enemy spinner/ defogger before setting up shop.

But they're not this fat.

Probably. Haven't had a chance to compare total bulk to Amoonguss.

Rock/Poison? Regenerator? What is this thing, Crucibelle?

In all seriousness, it seems like it's going to be great. Fantastic bulk and a poisoning Spiky Shield in combination with Regenerator is going to make it a pain to deal with.

Merciless is well Merciless lol the only thing holding it back is the 53/53 offenses.

Great support mon though between toxic Spikes (and absorber), recover, regenerator and Baneful Bunker.

Halcyon.

Poison water is pretty great typing and giving it regen and recover make it actually pretty useful I would think. Especially since it can spreadt status with it's protection move. I guess we'll see how the meta shapes up but I wouldn't be surprised if this thing were really really good.

MERCILESS MIGHT BE AS GOOD AS REGENERATOR ON THIS

You might be asking why.

Because you GET VENOSHOCK.

Which means if your opponent is poisoned-which is quite possible since you have Toxic Spikes AND that Protect+Poison, you are ignoring stat boosts (useful for Clefable and other CM boosters that don't have rest) due to the crit AND hitting them with a base 130 STAB move. Yes, your SpA sucks, but the base power of the move (and STAB) make up for it in part. Plus ignoring MG Clefable boosts can be super useful.

Changed Tentracruel's stats to be Toxapex's.

0 SpA Tentacruel Venoshock (130 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Clefable on a critical hit: 198-234 (50.2 - 59.3%) -- 76.2% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Even with that base 53 SpA.

Yea, Merciless is niche but good (if you can maintain poison, but that's probably quite doable). Regenerator though is absurdly good, so it's probably better.

Merciless seems like an awesome ability. The criticals and Venoshock might make up for its generally low defences.

I mostly came here to say I really like it's animations, especially Mareanie's, lol.

8 Atk Mega Diancie Diamond Storm vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Amoonguss: 160-190 (37.1 - 44%) -- 100% chance to 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery

8 Atk Mega Diancie Diamond Storm vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Tentacruel: 93-109 (30.6 - 35.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Black Sludge recovery

248 SpA Mega Diancie Moonblast vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Amoonguss: 97-115 (22.5 - 26.6%) -- possible 5HKO after Black Sludge recovery

248 SpA Mega Diancie Moonblast vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Tentacruel: 63-74 (20.7 - 24.4%) -- possible 6HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Changed Tentacruel's stats to be Toxapex's.

NOTABLE DOWNSIDE: Toxapex actually doesn't 2HKO Mega Diance (with a -SpDef nature lol) with Scald most of the time.

This monster can be played in two ways:
(1) As a tankish Toxic Spiker with full EVs in HP + Regenerator;
(2) As an offensive Toxic Spiker with Merciless.
I think that option n° 2 is overhyped; Regenerator is more useful because Toxic Spikes are usually an inferior choice than regular Spikes (because they are absorbed by Poisons, plus all the other downsides of Spikes).
Maybe, this thing can be one of the few (or even the only) viable Toxic Spiker on the OU environment.
