Gen 6 Manaphy (Done)

[OVERVIEW]

Manaphy is one of the best wallbreakers and stallbreakers in the tier thanks to Tail Glow. Manaphy also has a wide movepool consisting of many coverage moves, which includes Energy Ball for Water-types like Rotom-W and Slowbro; Ice Beam to hit Latios, Mega Latias, Mega Altaria, and Tangrowth; and Psychic to hit Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Amoonguss, and Keldeo. Manaphy's ability Hydration removes all status aliments in the rain, making moves like Rest and Rain Dance good moves to run. Manaphy does, however, have an average Speed stat, making fast offensive threats like Serperior, Mega Lopunny, Latios, and Thundurus threats. Manaphy also heavily relies on Tail Glow, making it subpar when it doesn't use a turn to set up, and its typing makes it vulnerable to common types like Electric and Grass.

Moves
========

Tail Glow allows Manaphy to easily break through defensive cores. STAB Surf is Manaphy's main move to hit walls like Chansey and Clefable as well as common Fire-, Ground-, and Rock-types, which includes Heatran, Excadrill, and Tyranitar. Ice Beam hits Grass-types like Serperior, Amoonguss, and Tangrowth; Dragon-types like Latios, Mega Latias, and Mega Altaria; Flying-types like Zapdos and Tornadus-T; and Ground-types that are 4x weak to Ice like Garchomp, Gliscor, and Landorus-T. Energy Ball gives Manaphy coverage to hit other Water-types like Slowbro, Rotom-W, Keldeo, Suicune, and other Manaphy.

Set Details
========

Maximum Special Attack and Speed EVs with a Modest nature allow Manaphy to OHKO Mega Metagross after one Tail Glow and 2HKO Chansey after two Tail Glows while being as fast as possible. A Timid nature allows Manaphy to Speed tie with threats like Mega Charizard Y and Mega Medicham that run a Timid or Jolly nature. Leftovers gives Manaphy passive recovery, helping it stay healthy. Lum Berry is a also viable option to remove status ailments like paralysis, Toxic poison, and burn, making it easier for Manaphy to set up.

Usage Tips
========

Manaphy enjoys setting up on foes that cannot threaten it back like Heatran, Skarmory, Gliscor, and Choice-locked Pokemon like Choice Scarf Magnezone and Tyranitar locked into Hidden Power Fire and Pursuit, respectively. Manaphy appreciates faster foes being crippled through means like paralysis and removing Choice Scarfs or eliminated. If Manaphy is holding Lum Berry, use it to set up freely on foes that use status moves like Thunder Wave from Clefable and Slowbro and Spore from Amoonguss. Be wary of the foe's status moves like Thunder Wave, which can cripple Manaphy's Speed, and Toxic, which can slowly chip it down.

Team Options
======

Magnezone is a good partner, as it can remove Ferrothorn while also being able to trap and revenge kill Mega Metagross. Mega Metagross can Pursuit trap Latios and Latias while also checking Clefable and wearing down Ferrothorn. Latios can remove entry hazards and wear down similar checks like Ferrothorn, Clefable, and Chansey. Latios can also bait Tyranitar to use Pursuit, giving Manaphy a free turn to set up with Tail Glow. Healing Wish users like Latias and Clefable can restore Manaphy's health and remove any status. Latias can also remove hazards for Manaphy, while Clefable can provide Thunder Wave and Knock Off support. Manaphy appreciates teammates that can help with speed control, which makes Sticky Web Shuckle a great partner, making Manaphy harder to revenge kill.

Moves
========

Tail Glow enables Manaphy to bust through defensive teams. Rain Dance helps Manaphy remove status effects thanks to its ability Hydration while also boosting the damage of its Surf. Surf is Manaphy's strongest STAB move and main move to break through walls like Chansey. Ice Beam is used to hit Grass- and Dragon-types like Amoonguss, Serperior, Tangrowth, Latios, Mega Altaria, and Mega Latias. Psychic is also a viable option, as it can hit Pokemon like Keldeo, Amoonguss, and Mega Venusaur for super effective damage.

Set Details
========

240 HP EVs give Manaphy a high chance to avoid a 2HKO from Mega Metagross while also always surviving a Thunderbolt from Choice Scarf Magnezone even after Stealth Rock damage. They also allow Manaphy to always avoid the 2HKO from maximum Special Attack Life Orb Clefable and the OHKO from Choice Specs Latios's Draco Meteor. 160 Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature let Manaphy OHKO Mega Metagross after Stealth Rock damage and one Tail Glow boost. 108 Speed EVs allow Manaphy to outspeed Jolly Bisharp, Mega Metagross before it Mega Evolves, and defensive Garchomp.

Usage Tips
========

Manaphy should look to set up on Pokemon that cannot threaten it like Heatran; Landorus-T; and Choice-locked Pokemon like Pursuit Choice Scarf Tyranitar, Ice Shard Choice Band Weavile, and Hidden Power Fire Magnezone. When Manaphy is paralyzed, poisoned by Toxic, or burned, use Rain Dance to remove the status effect. This also means that Manaphy has an easier time setting up versus more defensive Pokemon such as Clefable and Chansey, as their status moves won't be effective. You can also use Rain Dance before Manaphy has a status aliment on it to keep it safe from status. With less Special Attack, Manaphy appreciates its counters like Ferrothorn and Chansey being weakened or eliminated before setting up. Also, keep in mind Rain Dance also boosts the damage output of Surf. Faster threats like Thundurus, Mega Lopunny, Latios, and Mega Metagross can revenge kill Manaphy but can rarely OHKO it thanks to the extra EVs invested into HP.

Team Options
========

Mega Metagross has access to Pursuit to trap and eliminate Latios and Mega Latias and get chip damage on Chansey as it switches out. Mega Metagross can also wear down Ferrothorn with Hammer Arm while also checking Clefable. Magnezone can remove Ferrothorn for Manaphy and can also revenge kill or wear down Mega Metagross. Latias can provide entry hazard removal thanks to Defog while also providing Healing Wish support. Latios can wear down Manaphy's checks and counters like Ferrothorn, Chansey, and Clefable. Tornadus-T can help Manaphy deal with Grass-types like Serperior while also appreciating Manaphy's Rain Dance, allowing Hurricane to always hit. Excadrill is a good partner, as it's able to check common Electric-types that threaten Manaphy while also removing entry hazards thanks to Rapid Spin and providing Stealth Rock support. Weavile can Pursuit trap Latios and Latias, weaken Tornadus-T, and offensively check Mega Metagross that lack Bullet Punch. Weavile can also remove items like Leftovers from Ferrothorn and Eviolite from Chansey, making it easier for Manaphy to break through them.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
========

Hidden Power Fire is helpful for baiting in and heavily damaging or removing foes like Ferrothorn, which can help other teammates that appreciate Ferrothorn being gone. Rest is a viable option with Rain Dance to heal Manaphy to full while also not putting it to sleep as long as rain is up thanks to Hydration. Sitrus Berry is a viable option for an item, as it allows Manaphy to tank more hits from foes. Salac Berry can also be used, boosting Manaphy's Speed and making it harder for foes to revenge kill.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Electric-types**: Thundurus is able to threaten Manaphy with a Thunderbolt and take one hit from it. Magnezone shares a similar role where it can take any one hit from Manaphy without a Tail Glow boost while also outspeeding and threatening it with an Electric-type move like Thunderbolt or Volt Switch.

**Grass-types**: Ferrothorn is one of Manaphy's best checks, as it's able to take attacks from Manaphy while retaliating back with Power Whip. Mega Venusaur is able to beat Manaphy one-on-one unless Manaphy is running Psychic by tanking hits and retaliating with Giga Drain. Serperior is able to threaten Manaphy with Leaf Storm and can also take a single Ice Beam. Manaphy can, however, tank one unboosted Leaf Storm. Assault Vest Tangrowth can survive a Tail Glow-boosted Ice Beam and return damage with Giga Drain. Do note that Manaphy can tank a Giga Drain if needed, as Giga Drain is only a 2HKO.

**Fast Offensive Foes**: With an average Speed stat, strong threats that are faster than Manaphy like Mega Lopunny, Mega Metagross, Choice Specs Latios and Keldeo, Mega Latias, Jolly Excadrill, Weavile, and Choice Scarf Tyranitar, Landorus-T, and Magnezone can all deal a great amount of damage to and revenge kill Manaphy. Most of these threats, however, do not appreciate switching into Manaphy.

**Chansey**: If Chansey runs Thunder Wave or Toxic, it is able to beat Manaphy that lack Rain Dance. If Manaphy has Rain Dance or Chansey lacks Toxic or Thunder Wave, it is not a reliable counter, as it loses to Manaphy one-on-one.

okay, to start the rain dance set doesn't have an item, it should be leftovers. Also the 3 atks set should only be leftovers and not include lum as a /. lum should instead be a mention, as it does not get enough usage to be a part of the main set.

In the Intro: You mention amoongus and keldeo as something that psychic hits. I think venusaur is worth mentioning as well as it is the main thing that psychic is able to hit that energy ball/ice beam cant.

In Other Options: You should mention sitrus berry and salac berry here. Sitrus has seen some usage lately, primarily on webs as it allows you to tank two hits from certain pokemon. Salac isn't used as much as sitrus but i think it's still worth a mention.

240 HP EV investment gives Manaphy a high chance to avoid a 2HKO from Mega Metagross while also always living a Thunderbolt from Choice Scarf Magnazone even after Stealth Rocks damage. Usage Tips

Manaphy should look to set up on Pokemon that cannot threaten it like Heatran, Landorus-T, or choice locked users locked into a move that cannot threaten Manaphy like Pursuit from Choice Scarf Tyranitar, Ice Shard from Choice Band Weavile, or Hidden Power Fire from Magnezone. Other Options
========

Hidden Power Fire is helpful to bait foes like Ferrothorn which can help other teammates that appreciate Ferrothorn gone. Rest is a viable option with Rain Dance as it can heal Manaphy to full while also not putting it asleep as long as rain is up thanks to Hydration. Sitrus Berry is a viable option for an item as it allows Manaphy to tank more hits from foes. Salac Berry can also be used boosting Manaphy's Speed making it harder for foes to revenge kill.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Electric-types** Thundurus is able to threaten Manaphy with a Thunderbolt and is also able to take a one-hit from Manaphy. Magnezone shares a similar role where it can take any one hit from Manaphy without a Tail Glow Boost while also outspeeding Manaphy and threatening it with an Electric-type move like Thunderbolt or Volt Switch.

**Grass-types** Serperior is able to threaten Manaphy with a Leaf Storm and can also take a single Ice Beam. Amoonguss and Tangrowth can also take an Ice Beam while retaliating back with a Spore or Sleep Powder and then proceeding to kill off Manaphy with Giga Drain.

**Fast Offensive Foes**: With an average speed stat, strong threats that are faster than Manaphy like Mega Lopunny, Mega Metagross, Choice Specs Latios, Mega Latias, Sand Rush Excadrill, Choice Scarf Tyranitar, Landorus-T, and Magnezone, and Weavile can all deal a great amount of damage and revenge kill Manaphy. Most of these threats however do not appreciate switching into Manaphy.

**Unaware Clefable**: Unaware Clefable is able to ignore Manaphy's Tail Glow boost and slowly chip it down with Moonblast while also recovering off any damage with Wish and Protect.

**Chansey** Chansey can toxic Manaphy while it Tail Glows and spam recover to stall it out. Manaphy can 2HKO Chansey after two Tail Glows and can get rid of Chansey's Toxic or Thunder Wave if it has Rain Dance making it unreliable.
3-atks
Modest should be before timid as its used more and mentioned first on the set. State modest 2hkoing chansey at +6 and ohkoing mega metagross at +3

Usage tips: Rather than mention all the mons faster than manaphy i think it’d be better to just say paralyze / ko faster pokemon and knock off choice scarfs.

Team Options: Word the Latias / Clefable sections differently. Mention healing wish users pair well with manaphy, and state how both of these can use that and the other utility they provide. Mention speed control like paralysis and fit sticky webs here

Rain Dance
Moves: Mention how Psychic hits mega venusaur for super effective damage

Usage Tips: i would mention here how this manaphy set is able to setup vs defensive pokemon alot more freely given rain dance removes status. The added hp makes it much more difficult to be revenge killed as well.

Team Options: Excadrill is a good partner able to check electric-types, remove hazards, and set up stealth rocks. Weavile is another good partner able to trap lati@s, weakened tornadus, metagross lacking bullet punch and knock off leftovers / chansey’s eviolite.

Checks and Counters:

Grass-Types: Ferrothorn should be mentioned here considering its the best manaphy counter there is. Mega Venusaur should also be here since manaphy rarely uses psychic and w/o that you don’t beat venusaur 1v1. For the other 3 mons mention how serp leaf storm doesn’t kill manaphy from full health, amoonguss doesn’t 2hko with giga drain, and both die to a +3 ice beam. Only mention Assault Vest tangrowth as a “counter” since it does live a +3 ice beam but only 2hkoes with giga (therefore removing sleep powder as an option), helmet tangrowth takes ¾ of its health from an ice beam so it shouldn’t be mentioned.

Fast offensive foes: Just mention max speed excadrill over sand rush since mananphy is typically modest, also put specs keldeo here and remove landorus-t.

Remove unaware clefable since it is 2hkoed by a surf under rain + isnt really a reliable counter to begin with. Aside from the fact that it isnt used.

Chansey: Toxic / Thunder Wave sets will most likely beat the 3atks set, but chansey isn’t a reliable counter to the rain dance set. Mention this and if its status-less chansey it's not a reliable counter at all.

Hidden Power Fire is helpful to bait for baiting in and heavily damaging or removing foes like Ferrothorn,(AC) which can help other teammates that appreciate Ferrothorn being gone. Rest is a viable option with Rain Dance as it can to heal Manaphy to full while also not putting it asleep to sleep as long as rain is up thanks to Hydration. Sitrus Berry is a viable option for an item,(AC) as it allows Manaphy to tank more hits from foes. Salac Berry can also be used,(AC) boosting Manaphy's Speed and making it harder for foes to revenge kill.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Electric-types**: Thundurus is able to threaten Manaphy with a Thunderbolt and is also able to take a one hit(RH) from Manaphy it. Magnezone shares a similar role where it can take any one hit from Manaphy without a Tail Glow boost while also outspeeding Manaphy and threatening it with an Electric-type move like Thunderbolt or Volt Switch.

**Grass-types**: Ferrothorn is one of Manaphy's best checks,(AC) as it's able to take attacks from Manaphy while retaliating back with a Power Whip. Mega Venasaur Venusaur is able to beat Manaphy 1 on 1 one-on-one unless Manaphy is running Psychic as it's able to tank by tanking hits and hit it back retaliating with Giga Drains. Serperior is able to threaten Manaphy with a Leaf Storm and can also take a single Ice Beam. Manaphy can,(AC) however,(AC) tank one unboosted Leaf Storm. Assault Vest Tangrowth can live survive a Tail Glow-boosted(AH) Ice Beam and can use return damage with Giga Drain. Do note that Manaphy can tank a Giga Drain if needed,(AC) as Giga Drain is a 2HKO.

**Fast Offensive Foes**: With an average Speed stat, strong threats that are faster than Manaphy like Mega Lopunny, Mega Metagross, Choice Specs Latios and Keldeo, Mega Latias, Jolly Excadrill, Weavile,(AC) and Choice Scarf Tyranitar, Landorus-T, and Magnezone can all deal a great amount of damage to and revenge kill Manaphy. Most of these threats,(AC) however,(AC) do not appreciate switching into Manaphy.

**Chansey**: If Chansey runs Thunder Wave or Toxic, it is able to beat Manaphys that lack Rain Dance. If Manaphy has Rain Dance or Chansey lacks Toxic or Thunder Wave, it is not a reliable counter,(AC) as it loses to Manaphy 1 on 1 one-on-one.

do credits pls. also, there were a LOT of random spaces left in this that i manually removed, so be careful in the future with that. gp 1/2 when done

Moves

Set Details

Maximum Special Attack and Speed EVs with a Modest nature allow Manaphy to OHKO Mega Metagross after one Tail Glow and 2HKO Chansey after two Tail Glows while being as fast as possible. A Timid nature allows Manaphy to Speed tie with foes with threats like Mega Charizard Y and Mega Medicham that run a Timid or Jolly nature. Leftovers gives Manaphy passive recovery, helping it stay healthy. Lum Berry is a also viable option to remove status ailments like paralysis, Toxic poison, and burn, making it easier for Manaphy to set up.

Usage Tips
========

If Manaphy is holding Lum Berry, use it to set up freely on foes that use status moves like Thunder Wave from Clefable and Slowbro and Spore from Amooonguss Amoonguss. Be wary of the foe's status moves like Thunder Wave, which can cripple Manaphy's Speed, or and Toxic, which can slowly chip it down.

Team Options
======

Latias can also remove entry hazards for Manaphy, while Clefable can provide Thunder Wave and Knock Off support. Manaphy appreciates teammates that can help with speed control, which makes Sticky Web Shuckle a great partner, making Manaphy harder to revenge kill.

Moves

Tail Glow enables Manaphy to bust through defensive teams. Rain Dance helps Manaphy remove status effects thanks to its ability Hydration while also boosting the damage of its Surf. Surf is Manaphy's strongest STAB move and it's main move to break through walls like Chansey. Ice Beam is used to hit Grass- and Dragon-types like Amoonguss, Serperior, Tangrowth, Latios, Mega Altaria, and Mega Latias. Psychic is also a viable option, as it can hit Pokemons (leftover from previous check) like Keldeo, Amoonguss, and Mega Venusaur for super effective damage.

Set Details
========

240 HP EVs gives Manaphy a high chance to avoid a 2HKO from Mega Metagross while also always surviving a Thunderbolt from Choice Scarf Magnezone even after Stealth Rock damage. They also allow Manaphy to always avoid the 2HKO from Life Orb maximum Special Attack Life Orb Clefable and the OHKO from Choice Specs Latios's Draco Meteor. 160 Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature let Manaphy OHKO Mega Metagross after Stealth Rock damage and one Tail Glow boost. 108 Speed EVs allow Manaphy to outspeed Jolly Bisharp, Mega Metagross before it Mega Evolves, and defensive Garchomp.

Usage Tips
========

Manaphy should look to set up on Pokemon that cannot threaten it like Heatran; Landorus-T; and Choice-locked Pokemon like Pursuit Choice Scarf Tyranitar, Ice Shard Choice Band Weavile, and Hidden Power Magnezone (this should specify hidden power fire, no? not sure what other hidden power it would run). With less Special Attack, Manaphy appreciates its counters like Ferrothorn and Chansey to be being weakened or eliminated before setting up.

========
