Gorebyss @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Shell Smash
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]
Most players assume Gorebyss will run Wacan Berry, especially if you don't show White Herb, which normally does not KO Rose after rocks:
+2 252+ SpA Gorebyss Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Eviolite Roselia: 224-264 (73.6 - 86.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Whereas Life Orb allows you to OHKO is most of the time, and all the time with rocks:
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Gorebyss Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Eviolite Roselia: 291-343 (95.7 - 112.8%) -- 75% chance to OHKO

Its also worth noting that this set is actually good outside of luring one Pokemon, which doesn't have high usage anymore anyway.

Gourgeist-Super @ Life Orb
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 16 HP / 252 Atk / 240 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Explosion
- Rock Slide
- Seed Bomb
- Shadow Sneak

Normally, Roselia checks Gourgiest-Super very well, however offensive Gourgiest-Super with Explosion can lure it in and OHKO it!
252+ Atk Life Orb Gourgeist-Super Explosion vs. 252 HP / 32 Def Eviolite Roselia: 380-447 (125 - 147%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Gourgeist-Super Explosion vs. 252 HP / 32 Def Eviolite Roselia: 346-408 (113.8 - 134.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
credit to LST, fire punch amphy is pretty cool and innovative, but in terms of actually using the sets in a competitive setting, i'd probably use Electabuzz more often than Amphy. as a result I felt that mixed Buzz would be superior at luring Roselia, due to it being slightly more viable and having a higher physical attack stat.

Mixed Electabuzz

Electabuzz @ Life Orb
Ability: Vital Spirit
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Ice Punch

So Electabuzz does everything that Ampharos would do, but a bit better. Since Rose usually takes negligible damage from HP Ice, Ice Punch is used to pick up the 2hko on rose after rocks. Ice Punch also retains that Ice coverage that Electabuzz still needs for ground types.

4 Atk Life Orb Electabuzz Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 32 Def Eviolite Roselia: 143-169 (47 - 55.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Electabuzz's ability, Vital Spirit, is also relevant in the sense that it can switch into a predicted Sleep Powder and not be affected by it.
Completely Viable Roselia Lures

Captain Falcon (Ampharos) @ Life Orb
Ability: Static
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
- Volt Switch
- Focus Blast
- Fire Punch
- Thunderbolt

Ampharos is an incredibly safe switch in for Roselia. It resists all of Ampharos attacks except Hp ice which does at best about 40% with specs. Lo Fire Punch changes all of this. With a Quiet Nature Amphy has a guaranteed 2hko on standard Spdef Roselia after rocks. If your heart so desires, 124 Atk investment will net you a 2hko on Roselia from full.

124 Atk Life Orb Ampharos Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 32 Def Eviolite Roselia: 153-182 (50.3 - 59.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

0 Atk Life Orb Ampharos Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 32 Def Eviolite Roselia: 133-156 (43.7 - 51.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Politoed @ Choice Specs
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 120 HP / 252 SpA / 136 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 1 Atk / 30 SpA
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Scald / Focus Blast
So heres a bit of a more serious lure. Spdef Roselia can pretty safely switch in to Politoed as it only takes 37% max from Ice Beam and doesn't mind Scald burns because of Natural Cure. Specs Ice Beam easily 2hkos Rose after rocks The last move is flexible; Scald gives you a reliable stab that can also spread burns while Focus Blast does more damage to Lapras and Audino.

0 SpA Roselia Giga Drain vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Politoed: 164-194 (42.8 - 50.6%) -- 1.6% chance to 2HKO

Simipour @ Life Orb
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Knock Off
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot

Mixed Life Orb Simipour is a great lure for Roselia as you can knock off its Eviolite and then proceed to knock it out most of the time with Ice Beam (guaranteed after Stealth Rock or Spike damage). This is a pretty reliable lure as even if your opponent switches before the ice beam, Roselia is still permanently crippled due to the lack of Eviolite.

4 Atk Life Orb Simipour Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 32 Def Eviolite Roselia: 105-125 (34.5 - 41.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 SpA Life Orb Simipour Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Roselia: 179-213 (58.8 - 70%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Floatzel @ Life Orb
Ability: Water Veil
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 Spa / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Aqua Jet
- Ice Punch

This is a semi-standard set, but I rarely see it now, so I'm posting it. Chip Rose to about 60%, use a special move to revenge kill something, let Rose come in to check Float, and knock it out with Ice Punch. Alternately, Ice Punch on the Rose switchin and 2HKO.
THE UGLY DUCKLING

Thinking of a lure for sp def roselia was actually pretty hard. But shout out to reverse aim for helping me with the calcs.
Normally roselia is a fantastic switch in to pelipper because it eats scalds and doesn't care about the burns, while roselia can really hurt pelipper or put something to sleep. But with this set, surprise madafaka, hurricane packs a big punch and easily 2hkos roselia.
Now why would you use offensive peli over swanna? For couple of reasons, one the surprise factor of stab hurricane by hitting mons like a roselia, gourgeist or luminion that are more than comfortably switching into a defensive Pelipper. Two it still counters threats like monferno that offensive swanna simply can't (it can only check it). And lastly stab hydro pump.
As for the EVs, 180 speed lets it outspeed up to max speed cacturn. 220 sp atk is the bare minimum to a guarantee 2hko on Rose, and the rest goes into HP while 4 def is just to make the HP and odd number.

Pelipper @ Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 104 HP / 4 Def / 220 SpA / 180 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Hurricane
- Roost
- Defog

220 SpA Pelipper Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Eviolite Roselia: 152-180 (50 - 59.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Gorebyss @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Shell Smash
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]
Most players assume Gorebyss will run Wacan Berry, especially if you don't show White Herb, which normally does not KO Rose after rocks:

Leafeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Toxic
- Synthesis
- Leaf Blade / Bullet Seed
- Knock Off

Credit to GeneralAnnoyance who i believe was the first to use this set way back when. Vullaby can easily hard wall Leafeon even without an Eviolite and can get off slow U-Turns on Leafeon gaining precious momentum. When Vullaby inevitably comes in on you, just toxic it and its crippled for the rest of the game. Toxic on Leafeon also lets it bait many common switch ins such as Gourgeist, Tangela, Rapidash, etc. and cripple them. Synthesis allows you to stall out Vullaby once its been Toxic'd and also lets it check ground types much more effectively throughout a match. Bullet Seed is an option, but keep in mind that you need 3 hits to guarantee a KO on offensive Golem so its not terribly reliable.

Beheeyem @ Colbur Berry / Life orb
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Psychic
- Signal Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Trick Room

Beheeyem lures in and kills Vullaby with T-bolt. Vullaby can usually check most psychic types in the tier with ease (especially Beheeyem), however, T-bolt Beheeyem can greatly hurt it. For example:
252+ SpA Analytic Beheeyem Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Vullaby: 256-302 (74.6 - 88%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

This opens up the way for Pokemon who usually struggle with Vullaby or other flying types to do well, ex; Marowak (which synergizes well with Beheeyem [handling Probopass etc] & benefitting from TR).
Colbur berry on Beheeyem allows you to get rid of Cacturne easier, while life orb gives you increased power. I prefer colbur since you still get all the 2hko's and ko's you need with analytic.

As we all know, Vullaby is considered a check to Stoutland in the tier. After some tinkering with the following set, I've noticed it works as an intricate lure which works extremely well against Vullaby.
»»-------------¤
¤-------------««

Stoutland @ Choice Band
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Return
- Facade
- Superpower
- Play Rough

»»-------------¤
¤-------------««

Notice, the damage provided by play rough isn't insanely higher than that provided by Return. However:

252+ Atk Choice Band Stoutland Play Rough vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Vullaby: 168-198 (48.9 - 57.7%) -- 96.1% chance to 2HKO

Meaning it is virtually a 2HKO in pretty much every scenario (while Return is not a 2HKO from full health in any situation) and has a solid shot at OHKO'ing following stealth rocks damage, which Vullaby does not appreciate whatsoever, coupled with any chip damage whatsoever, making this an adequate lure when put into practice. Furthermore, this set makes it so Vullaby cannot possibly Roost stall Stoutland if it locks itself into Play Rough, making it that much more effective. As an addendum, I'd like to point out that Play Rough isn't by any means a weak move and is decently spammable in a tier where mons such as Monferno, Pawniard (both 2HKO'd) and Cacturne (OHKO'd), just to name a few, are extremely ubiquitous.

Simple and standard banded Stoutland set that is supposedly checked by Vullaby. However, this nifty addition of Play Rough over Crunch allows Stoutland to surprise Vullaby and not give up any of it's power. You're not required to sacrifice any major components of your set and include an extremely effective way of disposing of said check. This set paves the way for Pokemon who usually struggle with Vullaby to dismantle opposition and even Stoutland itself to break down opposing cores. Note, this might not be the most breathtaking lure or change that makes you straight up OHKO Vullaby, however, it is an extremely viable alteration on a mon that is already a gargantuan force in the tier (a recurrent presence throughout the tier, displayed by the astounding 19.41% usage rate gathered from the PU OPEN I Round 1), meaning you shouldn't be required to sacrifice any teambuilding components for it, as well as being able to dispose of Vullaby pretty safely. A life orb set is also an option allowing you to switch up moves, however, it retains considerably less power when compared to the banded set.

Kadabra @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Dazzling Gleam
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute

This effectively lures Vullaby because the only coverage that Kadabra usually runs that can touch Vull is HP Fighting. So its easy to click Gleam or Sub on the predicted switch-in and beat Vullaby quite reliably.

252 SpA Life Orb Kadabra Dazzling Gleam vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Vullaby: 203-239 (59.1 - 69.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I got a flaming lure for you guys today. This set not only lures vullaby and makes BBQ chicken with it but also dismantles all of his checks. Special Monferno makes a perfect partner for something like scarf leafeon that can clean easily after. The set is very simple with HP rock to hit both Altaria and Pelipper at the same time while the 2 stabs destroy everything else. The last slot can be either NP or vacuum wave depending whether you want priority or more power. Keep in mind the calcs are counting +2 for the OHKOs but +0 still easily 2hko. A timid set can be run but it does require SR to get some of the KOs. Have fun roasting. S/O to reverse aim for helping with the calcs.
