Misdreavus and Mienfoo dominate as always. Abra doesn't seem Top 10 as it's frail and weak to ScarfKrow, U-Turns from ScarfFoo and is victim to Misdreavus. Aipom, Cranidos, and Elekid are still obnoxiously high. Aipom can't do much against ghosts due to its low power and Eviolite, and is setup fodder for Hippopotas. Cranidos dies so fast from Head Smashes and can also be used to send out hippo. As for Elekid, lolvire back in the DPP days should explain why it isn't good.

I will be perfectly honest. The ladder is horrible.

Also, I am very surprised Hippo has managed to maintain its high usage considering Snover dominates Sand so easily. However, I did see a lot of double rush teams on the ladder this month.

Bronzor usage is still too high, while Tirtouga and Dwebble should be much higher. Gastly should also definitely be lower.

So Zigzagoon (lol) is 49 and Omanyte (one of the premier sweepers in LC) is 57. I don't even...

Other pokemon that should be used a lot more include the following:

Kabuto (81): Seriously? The bulky set is an excellent lead and the Rain Dance set can devastate teams. It can also Rapid Spin if you really want a spinner. 81 for a top 25 level mon is sickening. Yes, Tirtouga is excellent but Kabuto can do different things, like Spin.

Zorua (70): Hampered by Team Preview but still hits hard. When played right, can frustrate the opponent.

Wynaut (54): OK, this isn't awesome but can still kill scarfers so long they don't use U-Turn/Volt Switch. Very underrated mon right now.

Natu (52): Magic Bounce and hits sorta hard with a nice 70 base special attack stat, so it isn't a one-trick pony. Can wall certain mons.

2. Water STAB isn't really worth much in LC because Ground STAB offers basically the same coverage, while being stronger in the form of Earthquake. I'll agree you can hit Murkrow, but that's the only notable pokémon. Aqua Jet is weak and doesn't revenge kill much, as most sweepers either have a really high defense stat (Omanyte/Tirtouga/Shellder/Clamperl) or have a recovery move (Scraggy). For killing anything else, it will never 3HKO most threats and will often barely 2HKO pokémon weak to it, meaning it can't revenge most of them.
3. It doesn't matter if Abra is brought to its focus sash, it has done its job: revenge killing. Hippo can easily switch in Rock Slide and Snover in waterfall and wreck havoc with Earthquake/Giga Drain (as hippo can easily tank a waterfall). Croagunk might be the best counter, as no attack scratches it (it even heals from waterfall) and it OHKOes with both drain punch and vacuum wave.
Also, where did you get the OHKO on mienfoo thing???

196+ Atk Life Orb Kabuto Waterfall vs. 156 HP / 196+ Def Eviolite Mienfoo in rain: 16-19 (69.56 - 82.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
(16, 16, 16, 16, 16, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17, 19)

And again, it's easily revenged by Murkrow's Sucker Punch, Foongus with regenerator, Shroomish, Regenerator Mienfoo, Timburr with mach punch, riolu with protect to stall rain and drain punch to recover... All of these pokémon can easily survive late-game, and again, water has poor super-effective coverage in LC.

Last thing: it doesn't have an "excellent movepool". It only has Waterfall/Rock Slide/Stealth Rock/Rapid Spin, and Drilbur can use these moves way better.
In my opinion, it's outclassed, as it has lots of weaknesses, a good defense stat but terrible HP stat, and if you want to invest in Bulk, you must sacrifice attack or speed, and if you want to invest in attack, you must forget some bulk or speed. I don't really have a situation in which I would use Kabuto.

 

[Pen Ink]

Rainbow, Mienfoo definitely deserves #2 usage. It's the best fighting type in the tier, has great utility, U-Turn, is bulky, Regenerator, hits like a truck, and is a fantastic pivot. You can practically throw it on any team and it will do work.

 

[Goddess Briyella]

Abra is a swift answer to Fighting types (bar Scraggy of course), which are annoying as hell due to them getting STAB Drain Punch for more survivability. Also despite its frailty, its Sash + Magic Guard lets it live any hit guaranteed, regardless of weather and hazards, so it can get off a strong attack anytime when necessary (the only exception I could think of where it wouldn't be guaranteed at least one attack is when faced by a Scarfer with a multi-hit move, like Shellder) ^_^ Abra's increase in usage is no surprise to me. It's on my main as well.

Kinda suprised to see Foongus at 33. It's got Spore and Grass/Poison is an awesome type in LC with really good water and fighting resistance. It supports my team better than Lileep and Ferroseed. Sleep is very deadly and it gives me an opportunity to set up with mons like Misdreavus. More threatening than setting up spikes atm.

I agree foongus deserves more usage due to a useful poison typing and the incredible threat known as spore. Regenerator makes it tough to take down with hazards and residual damage. Frillish deserves more usage than its current spot at 36. While I understand that misdreavus outclasses frillish in some areas, Frillish boasts instant recovery and a water STAB to hit hippopotas,drilbur,and other common sand threats. It is a nice special wall for hail teams with good STAB's and a large move pool.

Magnemite is too high in the current meta it needs to drop down into the 20s at least. Magnemite used to be very usefull for beating steel types like ferroseed with no effort, but knock off mienfoo has become to common to use ferroseed and bronzor as a excuse to run Magnemite.
Also sand teams make it pretty much useless unless it somehow gets a magnet rise up, even snover gives it issues because it is 2HKOed by hidden power fire with eviolite and choice scarf can't switch in at all without being crippled for the whole match. Overall magnemite is

idk I kinda like Magnemite. While its true knock off Mienfoo can beat ferroseed and remove bronzors eviolite they are still pretty common at 13 and 14 (right behind Mienfoo) this makes Magnemite quite good because it can trap and beat them both barring eq Bronzor. This is much more reliable than using Mienflo since many ferroseeds are paired with Misdreavus and ferroseed is not ohko'd by mienfoo. Since ferro can't be trapped by foo it can always switch. Bronzor can also Toxic or Psychic Mienfoo so knocking its eviolite off comes at a price. A Magnet Rise is actually quite easy to get again sand teams it can be done on hipopotas, lileep and even pawnaird since many ditch Brick Break for Pursuit to help against sand teams weakness to Snover. Speaking of Sbover I would still call Magnemite a good check. The fact that Snovers need to think about goimg for hp fire will stop them from blizzspamming and hp fire is a shitty move to be locked into so predicting when to use it is hard even if your opponent does have a magnemite. It can also threaten snover locked into blizz, ice shard, or giga drain and gain momentum with Volt Switch. It is also an amazing check to subroost krow which is also very common.

Mag takes on a lot of common threats and deserves 12 imo I am writing this on the bus so I apologise for bad grammer

Agreeing with spd, Magnemite is a very reliable Steel-type trapper which is a very useful niche to have if you have a steel-weak sweeper. But not only that, it has a very powerful volt switch coming off a SpAtk stat of 20, which alone makes it deserve #12 in usage. If the opposing team does not have Chinchou, you are no doubt going to struggle with Magnemite, since Drilbur is not hard to remove with a powerful Flash Cannon and Hippo is set-up bait for Magnet Rise. Scarf Magnemite is also one of the best scarfers allowing it to revenge kill all forms of Murkrow except Scarfkrow locked into heatwave.
It is really only the presence of Chinchou which should stop Magnemite climbing any higher as it basically prevents Magnemite doing what it does best and instead turns Magnemite into a liability. Nevertheless, if you forgo HP Fire for Grass you can 2HKO all forms of Chinchou (it needs SR up to 2hko bulky resttalk though) which is a very good option that I use on Scarf Magnemite.

It's rock weakness can be dealt with by pairing it with staryu, as the 2 have great synergy. It's flare blitz hits very hard and it boasts recovery and can regain momentum with u turn. Rocks cripple it to go up super far but I think it should get to maybe to 25 Just because it can force a ton of switches and gain crucial switch advantages. It also does ell when's aired with a chinchou to volt turn.

Yeah 25 to 22 would be good not 30. The ladder doesn't use larvesta because of its rock weakness, but pairing it with staryu eliminates that problem

Larvesta is an incredible Pokemon right now in my opinion. It really wrecks standard non-sand teams if SR isn't up as it can get really easy switch-ins on Mienfoo and Snover and deal massive damage with STAB U-turn which messes up Chinchou and Staryu. It is so easy to gain momentum with it and also cripple the opponents Pokemon with flame body. However, I don't really want it to rise because then it will be less effective since Snover and Mienfoo will just begin to run HP Rock and Stone Edge more often, and then cause it to drop again and over time it will just go round in circles. It's effectiveness in the current meta stems from the fact that people aren't preparing for it as much.

Larvesta can be a potent force. However, I think it's kept in check enough by the ever-prevalent Murkrow (even with the Flame Body Burn chance) and Stone Edge Mienfoo, and to a lesser extent, Tirtouga. And then there's Stealth Rock to completely ruin its U-turning and survivability in general.

It's got a few things going for it. I actually like Larvesta better than Houndour for a role on a Sand team as an answer to Snover. Houndour has Pursuit, but Larvesta has U-turn, and with Stealth Rock down, it can really give Snover a hard time as it tries to keep Sand away, while either nailing Snover hard before switching to safety OR U-turning against whatever they bring in to preserve their Snover and then going to a check/counter, while having SR dent Snover again when it reappears. Larvesta also boasts something that many mons in the meta wish they had: a resistance to Fighting attacks.

But Larvesta almost absolutely requires Rapid Spin support to be able to function well, and if you run Larvesta on a Sand team for the reasons described above, and use Drilbur for your spinner, you will then have at least half your team weak to Water (including Hippo of course), so it really forces you to use Staryu and can limit your team options that way.

Larvesta's usage position is totally understandable to me. It can be a decent part of a team, but it's definitely got its flaws, drawbacks, and reasons to opt for other ideas instead when building a team.

Larvesta is amazing.
It forms a really good Volt-Turn core with Chinchou, which fixes all of its problems (Tirtouga/Murkrow) and Drilbur is a really good spinner alongside it thanks to more offensive presence and the ability to switch into foo's stone edge (I don't really like staryu with it now). It can beat pretty much every fighting-type, helps against various physical boosters like Pawniard and Scraggy, and is generally an awesome 'mon, even in sand or hail.
<3 larvesta, way too underrated imo.
