Kyurem is a fierce offensive threat that puts immense pressure on common defensive foes like Buzzwole and Mudsdale. Freeze-Dry lets Kyurem beat Water-types like Toxapex, Slowking, and Rotom-W that would otherwise wall it. Earth Power hits Steel-types like Melmetal and Heatran. Ice Beam is its best STAB against common walls like Clefable, Buzzwole, and Celesteela. Alternatively, Triple Axel alongside a Rash nature can be run to 2HKO Blissey and pressure Chansey and Tyranitar. Roost lets Kyurem stay healthy throughout longer games as well as switch into the likes of Rotom-W and Seismitoad more consistently. A Timid or Naive nature can be run to more reliably outspeed max speed Excadrill, Nidoking, and Rotom-W, but this significantly cuts down on Kyurem's damage. Similarly, Heavy-Duty Boots can eliminate Kyurem's entry hazard weakness but also cuts down on its power. Good pivots like Tornadus-T, Slowking, and Rotom-W make for fantastic teammates, as they can help Kyurem get onto the field safely. Entry hazard removal is also crucial to counteract Kyurem's Stealth Rock weakness; the likes of Clefable, Sylveon, and Corviknight are useful teammates in that regard. Wallbreakers like Cinderace and Melmetal that struggle against Water-types like Toxapex and Rotom-w appreciate Kyurem's ability to pressure them. Rock-types like Accelerock Tyranitar and Aerodactyl are immensely threatening against Kyurem, so Kyurem partners well with teammates that can help against them, like Mudsdale, Ferrothorn, and Urshifu-R; in addition, they can help against Steel-types like Melmetal, which can live a hit from and OHKO Kyurem.
