Keeping unnerfed base stats after 1.0.1?

For the legendary quartet that got nerfed base stats between 1.0.0 -> 1.0.1, is it possible to keep the unnerfed base stats by first catching one in 1.0.0, putting it into the party, and then updating? What happens if you battle (either offline or online) after that?

If I understand correctly, party Pokemon keep their raw stats stored as part of the save file, and they are only recalculated when deposited into the PC or after gaining EVs (or leveling up or evolving). Is this behavior kept in Gen 9?

The posts on this page (https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/sword-shield-battle-mechanics-research.3655528/page-63), regarding Gen 8 Pure Hackmons tests, say that it's possible to alter a party Pokemon's raw stat in the save file, then launch the game, and then destroy the Battle Tower while the altered raw stat in the save file carries over between battles. It also looks possible to do this in at least one local wireless battle too? Is this behavior kept in Gen 9?

Alternatively, does the game recalculate party Pokemon's stats on a version update? Does Scarlet/Violet recalculate party Pokemon's stats on save file load?

For Ting-Lu specifically, its base HP was lowered by the patch, causing its max HP to drop by up to 20. So then what happens if you have a Ting-Lu in your party at 19/520 current HP and then its max HP is lowered to 500?
