[OVERVIEW]

Boasting a blistering base 136 Speed stat, outrun only by Dragapult, and impressive Special Attack, Iron Bundle is truly a force to be reckoned with in DOU. Its offense especially shines when paired with Chi-Yu, which greatly increases Iron Bundle's damage output with Beads of Ruin. Iron Bundle has excellent speed control with Icy Wind, which, when combined with its high Speed, can easily ensure that it and its allies outspeed the enemy team. However, Iron Bundle is a fairly fragile Pokemon, especially against powerful special attackers such as Chi-Yu and Gholdengo.

[SET COMMENTS]

* Hydro Pump is by far Iron Bundle's strongest STAB move. Tera Water can further amplify its power.

* STAB Freeze-Dry allows Iron Bundle to hit Water-types hard. It is effective against rain teams, being able to OHKO Pelipper, OHKO Barraskewda, and hit Palafin hard.

* Icy Wind benefits Iron Bundle's slower allies. It functions well against fast Focus Sash Pokemon such as Chien-Pao and Meowscarada, both dealing damage to nullify the Focus Sash and lowering their Speed, which allows Iron Bundle's ally to KO the foe.

* Protect is used to predict and avoid attacks that threaten to KO Iron Bundle, extending its longevity. It can also help Iron Bundle stall out Trick Room and Tailwind turns.

* Tera Water increases the power of Hydro Pump and gives Iron Bundle a better defensive typing against Fire- and Steel-type Pokemon such as Chi-Yu and Gholdengo. It also reduces damage taken from Stealth Rock.

* Booster Energy activates Iron Bundle's Quark Drive, making it among the very fastest Pokemon in Doubles OU. Boosted Iron Bundle outspeeds Gholdengo and Great Tusk in Tailwind, Choice Scarf Chi-Yu, and Weak Armor-boosted Armarouge. It also Speed ties Chlorophyll Lilligant in sun.

* Focus Sash complements Iron Bundle's lacking bulk, letting it survive attacks that would OHKO it.

* Life Orb increases Iron Bundle's overall damage output, enabling it to OHKO a few Pokemon such as Dragapult with Freeze-Dry. However, it doesn't help Iron Bundle preempt foes or take hits, making it far riskier than other items. Life Orb's recoil damage can also put Iron Bundle into KO range from Dragonite's Extreme Speed.

[SET COMMENTS]

* Hydro Pump and Freeze-Dry give Iron Bundle unresisted neutral coverage.

* Icy Wind provides speed control for allies and breaks opposing Focus Sashes.

* Ice Beam is a more powerful Ice-type move than Freeze-Dry.

* Flip Turn can give Iron Bundle momentum against switching opponents.

* 28 Special Attack EVs are enough for Iron Bundle to OHKO Chi-Yu with Hydro Pump. The remaining 228 HP EVs guarantee is survives Choice Band Tera Normal Dragonite's Extreme Speed while Chien-Pao's Sword of Ruin is active. Alternatively, 84 Special Attack EVs can be used to guarantee an OHKO on Dragapult with Ice Beam.

* Assault Vest negates Iron Bundle's special frailty, enabling it to survive powerful special attacks such as Choice Specs Gholdengo's Make it Rain.

Iron Bundle can run Encore over Icy Wind or Protect, easily locking most Pokemon into a move such as Protect or Fake Out thanks to its high Speed. On a snow team with Abomasnow, Iron Bundle can run Blizzard as a powerful spread attack, and it also can maximize its damage output with Tera Ice. Snow also boosts Iron Bundle's Defense, making it particularly more effective against priority spam teams with Dragonite and Palafin. 252 HP and 64 Special Defense EVs can be used with Assault Vest to survive an Overheat from Choice Scarf Chi-Yu, and Iron Bundle still has above 152 Speed EVs left for outspeeding Meowscarada. 40 HP EVs allow Iron Bundle to avoid a potential OHKO from Chien-Pao's Sacred Sword if Chien-Pas a damage-boosting item, so an EV spread of 40 HP / 216 SpA / 252 Spe on less bulky sets could be used instead.

Overall it has some fluff that needs to be trimmed down and some dex info that we can cut. Some common spelling/grammar errors were 'Terra' instead of 'Tera' , lowercase on EV.

[OVERVIEW]

Iron Bundle is one of the fastest Pokemon in Doubles, boasting an incredible speed stat of 136 which is tied for third fastest with Barraskewda and only surpassed by Dragapult and Electrode. This speed stat combined with an impressive Special Attack of 126 and powerful moves such as Hydro Pump and Freeze-Dry make it a truly dangerous force to reckoned with. Iron Bundle's offensive capabilities especially shine when paired with Chi-Yu, whose Beads of Ruin ability increases Iron Bundle's damage output. reduces the Special Defense of all Pokemon on the field except for Chi-Yu itself, allowing Iron Bundle to shred through opponents before they can even attack. In addition to its excellent offensive capabilities, Iron Bundle has excellent speed control in the form of Icy Wind, which when combined with its high speed stat, can easily ensure that its allies can outspeed the enemy. Though it has a low HP stat of 56, Iron Bundle also boasts a high Defense stat, which can help it against powerful physical attackers such Chien-Pao and Dragonite. Where Iron Bundle falls short is with its Special Defense stat of 60 which is not held up well its low HP stat. This often leads Iron Bundle to be easily knocked out by powerful Special Attackers such as Chi-Yu and Armarouge.

Memoric gave me this as an opening sentence (with a small edit from me) that is more concise and highlights the important information (fast, strong, good coverage) about Bundle:

"Boasting a blistering (136) Speed stat outrun only by Dragapult, impressive Special Attack, and impeccable neutral coverage between Hydro Pump and Freeze Dry, Iron Bundle is truly a force to be reckoned with in DOU."

Electrode isn't relevant enough to mention, instead you can say it is 1 point faster than Chien-Pao. Freeze-Dry isn't a powerful move, instead mention why the coverage it provides is good. Beads of Ruin is dex info so we don't need to explain it, I just said it makes Bundle stronger. You can also mention offensive synergy with Chi-Yu (Chi-Yu kills Grass-types that resist Hydro Pump and could KO Bundle back and Bundle kills fires for Chi Yu.)

Gholdengo is more relevant than Armarouge in general and it also seems a bit strange to mention it might die only to Pokemon that it outspeeds and can OHKO.

You don't need to list out every base stat, just the important ones. Keep the mention of speed, say its special attack is good and talk about the consequences of its bulk. Both Chien-Pao and Dragonite can OHKO the offensive set and do lots of damage to the defensive set, so a different example would be better (or say it can survive with investment/Snow). Try rewording the last few sentences to make it more concise. Just get through the main point that its physical bulk is ok, but not great, and its special bulk is really bad.

[SET]
name: Assault Vest Delibot
move 1: Hydro Pump
move 2: Freeze-Dry
move 3: Icy Wind
move 4: Flip Turn
item: Assault Vest
ability: Quark Drive
nature: Timid
evs: 216 HP / 40 SpA / 252 Speed
tera type: Water

It can still be called Delibot in our hearts, just not here.

[SET COMMENTS]

* Hydro Pump is by far Iron Bundle's strongest STAB move. This can be combined with Tera Water to deal massive damage to even opponents who resist the Water type. The 40 Special Attack EVs of this set in particular are enough to enable Iron Bundle to OHKO Chi-Yu with Hydro Pump. The remaining 216 EVs are invested in HP to increase general bulk almost always survive Choice Band Tera Normal Dragonite's Extreme Speed while Sword of Ruin is active.

Tera Water Hydro Pump is strong but most resists still take the move reasonably well. Iron Bundle is also adept at hitting targets neutrally with its coverage so strong resisted hits are not as important. A resisted Tera Water Hydro Pump does almost the same damage as a neutral Freeze-Dry. You also mention Tera Water by itself later so you can talk specifics then.

* Freeze-Dry has the unique characteristic of dealing super effective damage to Water types making this a very useful coverage move as well as a decent Ice-type STAB. In particular, it can be very effective against Rain teams being able to deal x4 damage to Pelipper for an OHKO and hit other common Rain Pokemon like Palafin and Barraskewda for x2 damage.

*Freeze-Dry is a STAB move that allows Iron Bundle to hit Water-types. It is effective against rain teams, being able to OHKO Pelipper, Barraskewda and hit Palafin.

Made it more concise and removed dex info.

* Icy Wind can lower opponents' speed greatly benefiting Iron Bundle's slower allies, as Iron Bundle outspeeds most other threats this move is a must. It functions well against fast Focus Sash Pokemon such as Chien-Pao and Meowscarada, who often out-speed Iron Bundle's allies, by both dealing damage to nullify the Focus Sash as well as lowering the opponent's speed enough so that Iron Bundle's ally can KO the opponent.

* Flip Turn can give Iron Bundle momentum against switching opponents. Though this move won't deal much damage on account of it being a physical move.

Not sure if it is worth mentioning the damage when the primary reason to use it is momentum. It also is a 60BP move so it doing little damage is a given for most Pokemon.

* Tera Water will increase the power of Hydro Pump which when combined with an ally like Chi-Yu will enable Iron Bundle to potentially OHKO many Pokemon that take neutral damage from Hydro Pump such as Gholdengo.

Not sure if the extra information is necessary, particularly considering Chi-Yu OHKOs Gholdengo itself. Granted you can Tera Water on the turn you switch in Chi-Yu. A better example might be good, otherwise you can just say it makes Hydro stronger. Could be worth mentioning the better defensive typing. Tera Water lets it live Specs Make It Rain with out the AV (you can say that on the second set) and makes it not weak to Stealth Rock for example.

* Assault Vest helps patch up Iron Bundle's low Special Defense increasing its longevity allowing it to survive against powerful Special Attackers such as Chi-Yu and Armarouge.

Both of these Pokemon can still OHKO this spread with a high roll from Armarouge or Overheat on Chi-Yu. You could instead use Specs Make It Rain as an example.

[SET]
name: Fast Sweeper Delibot
move 1: Hydro Pump
move 2: Freeze-Dry
move 3: Icy Wind
move 4: Protect
item: Booster Energy / Focus Sash / Life Orb
ability: Quark Drive
nature: Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
tera type: Water

[SET COMMENTS]

* Protect is used to predict and avoid dangerous attacks from the opponent that could otherwise KO Iron Bundle, extending its longevity on the field. Given Iron Bundle's fragility, Protect can be very useful in many instances.

"Useful in many instances" is pretty vague. You can mention it stalls out opposing Tailwind/Trick Room or allows its ally to reposition by switching.

* Booster Energy will activate Iron Bundle's Quark Drive which will increase its speed stat by 50%, this will make Iron Bundle by far one of the fastest Pokemon in Doubles. With a boosted speed stat of 612, Iron Bundle is capable of outspeeding many different x2 speed-boosted opponents with less than 306 speed such as Gholdengo or Great Tusk in Tailwind, Weak Armor speed boosted Armarouge, as well as having a speed tie with Chlorophyll Liligant in the Sun. This speed can also be useful for countering threats with and unexpected Choice Scarf such as Chi-Yu and Gholdengo. With a speed boost, Iron Bundle is capable of outspeeding Gholdengo and Great Tusk in Tailwind, Choice Scarf Chi-Yu and Armarouge with a Weak Armor boost and also speed ties Chlorophyll Lilligant in Sun.

Made it more concise and removed dex info.

* Focus Sash will let Iron Bundle live an attack that would otherwise KO it. This is particularly useful against other common Focus Sash users such as Meowscarada and Chien-Pao who can potentially OHKO Iron Bundle back. as well as surviving against unexpected Tera types.

This is particularly useful against Scarf Chi-Yu, Focus Sash Meowscarada and Iron Hands.

Alternative sentence.
It isn't necessary to mention unexpected Tera types. Chien-Pao's Sacred Sword only has a small chance to OHKO Bundle, you could mention Scarf Chi-Yu or Iron Hands instead.

* Life Orb will increase Iron Bundles overall damage making its attacks far more powerful enabling Iron Bundle to OHKO a few Pokemon, such as Dragapult with Freeze-Dry or Non-Assault Vest Tyranitar during Sandstorm with Tera Water boosted Hydro Pump. However, this comes at the cost of being unable to benefit from the potential speed boost from Booster Energy and the safety of Focus Sash making it far riskier to run Life Orb in comparison to other items.

The Tyranitar calc is nice but it might be a bit too specific. Can also mention taking Life Orb recoil as a downside, particularly as it chips you into range of stuff like Dragonite Extreme Speed without Chien-Pao support.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Iron Bundle can run Encore over Protect allowing it free reign to easily lock most Pokemon into a single move thanks to its high Speed. Ice Beam can be ran over Flip Turn or Protect as a more powerful Ice move compared to Freeze-Dry which can be useful for guaranteeing an OHKO on Dragapult if you have with at least 84 Special Attack EVs. If you are running a Snow team with Abomasnow, you have the option to run Blizzard as a powerful spread attack. If paired with Chi-Yu, Blizzard can dish out serious damage and will prove one of the strongest spread-attacks that can be paired with it as well as offer a possible freeze chance on both of the opposing Pokemon. Iron Bundle's Defense will also be boosted by Snow making it particularly more effective against Priority-Spam teams using Pokemon such as Dragonite and Palafin that usually have their physical damage boosted by Chien-Pao's Sword of Ruin ability. You could also opt to run Tera Ice in conjunction with Blizzard if you want to maximize its damage. You can run 252 HP and 64 Special Defense EVs on the Assault Vest set to enable Iron Bundle to survive an Overheat from Choice Scarf Chi-Yu while still having above 152 speed EVs which is enough to still outspeed Meowscarada. 40 HP EVs will allow Iron Bundle to avoid a potential OHKO from Chien-Pao's Sacred Sword if it is not running an damage boosting item, so an EV spread of 40 HP / 216 SpA / 252 Spe on less bulky sets could be used instead.

You can mention some unfavourable moves that you wouldn't want to be locked into (eg. Protect, Tailwind, Fake Out, Stealth Rock, boosting moves, etc.) You don't need to say Blizzard is strong twice. Mentioning Chi-Yu again here seems unnecessary. Not sure if the part about Chien-Pao is necessary, Snow helps here regardless. Move the Tera Ice part next to where you talked about Blizzard or combine it into one sentence.

General
- we agreed to swap the Booster Energy set to being first listed since it's seeing more success on Frosty Fanroom (tm) and many other builds. I swapped around the Hydro / Freeze-Dry / Icy Wind bullet points since it's probably better to have the more in depth coverage first on the analysis - it will be easier to c/p the check to the main post and edit from there lol

Add something about the STAB moves you covered up there. It can be really short like "Hydro Pump and Freeze-Dry are strong STAB moves that give Iron Bundle unresisted neutral coverage" and "Icy Wind provides speed control for allies and breaks opposing Focus Sashes" since you went in-depth earlier above but they should be mentioned on both sets rq

* Flip Turn can give Iron Bundle momentum against switching opponents. QC wants the slash to be Ice Beam / Flip Turn because Flip Turn kinda sucks, it deals pretty minimal damage and can get caught by Protects. Just add a quick sentence like "Ice Beam is a stronger STAB against opponents that aren't Water-type." before this one.

* 40 Special Attack EVs are enough to enable Iron Bundle to OHKO Chi-Yu with Hydro Pump. The remaining 216 EVs are invested in HP to guarantee Iron Bundle always survives Choice Band Tera Normal Dragonite's Extreme Speed while Chien-Pao's Sword of Ruin is active. Going to be a nerd but Bundle actually has a 1/16 roll to die to this, so change wording from guarantee. 84 Special Attack EVs can be used to guarantee an OHKO on Dragapult with Ice Beam. moved from OO

* Assault Vest helps patch up Iron Bundles low Special Defense increasing its longevity and allowing it to survive against powerful special attacks such as Choice Specs Gholdengo's Make it Rain.

Chi-Yu doesn't have any super effective attacks it can use against Iron Bundle, its special attack is simply so high due to its Beads or Ruins ability that it can simply ohko it just with a regular attack because Iron Bundle's Special Defense is so low.

So I consulted DOU Q&C and basically we decided to remove Chi-Yu from this line because in reality, Scarf Chi-Yu is usually not a threat to Iron Bundle since most sets run Booster Energy, outspeeding and OHKOing it with hydro pump (so most people don't really run it as much against it)

changed to this instead:

* Focus Sash Iron Bundle survives against a super effective attack from Focus Sash Meowscarada and Iron Hands.

implemented otherwise fine changes

edit: (thought this was official GP not AM my b, this is my first analysis :howdysire:)

[OVERVIEW]

Boasting a blistering base 136 Speed stat, (AC) outrun only by Dragapult, and impressive Special Attack, Iron Bundle is truly a force to be reckoned with in DOU. Iron Bundle's offensive capabilities especially shine Its offense especially shines when paired with Chi-Yu, whose Beads of Ruin ability which greatly increases Iron Bundle's damage output with Beads of Ruin. Iron Bundle has excellent speed control with Icy Wind, which, (AC) when combined with its high Speed stat, can easily ensure that it and its allies can outspeed the enemy team. However, Iron Bundle's lack of bulk and Special Defense makes it Bundle is a fairly fragile Pokemon, especially against powerful special attackers such as Chi-Yu and Gholdengo.

* Hydro Pump is by far Iron Bundle's strongest STAB move. Its power can be further amplified by Tera Water. Tera Water can further amplify its power.

* STAB Freeze-Dry is a STAB move that allows Iron Bundle to hit Water-types hard. It is effective against rain teams, being able to OHKO Pelipper, OHKO Barraskewda, (AC) and hit Palafin hard.

* Icy Wind lowers opponents' speed, benefitting benefits Iron Bundle's slower allies. It functions well against fast Focus Sash Pokemon such as Chien-Pao and Meowscarada, by both dealing damage to nullify the Focus Sash, as well as lowering the opponent's speed enough so that Iron Bundle's ally can KO the opponent. Sash and lowering their Speed, which allows Iron Bundle's ally to KO the foe.

* Protect is used to predict and avoid dangerous attacks from the opponent attacks that threaten to KO Iron Bundle, extending its longevity on the field.

* Booster Energy activates Iron Bundle's Quark Drive, making Iron Bundle by far one of the it among the very fastest Pokemon in Doubles. With a Speed boost, Doubles OU. GP Implemented :iron bundle:

though, I don't think I need to elaborate on the focus sash set much, its a set thats been getting less use
Meowscarada it can easily ohko back which I feel most people would know but Iron Bundle isn't going to be able to one shot iron hands unless its been worn down already

the q i have as a reader is, like, whats the point if taking a hit from hands specifically and why mention it specifically if you cant ko it back. if you just mean, like, bundle doesnt die in a situation where it otherwise would, and that bundle not dying is generally ideal, id honestly rec changing to something like “from Pokemon like Meowscarada, which it OHKOes back.”

(I know a lot of ppl know meow gets ohkoed but id rather you include the end part bc ppl could get confused about protean shenanigans and whether that changes what you can do, or newcomers could very well just not know that it gets ohkoed)

EDIT: hold up, i remembered you mention focus sash meow, which I assume means bundle can't ohko it back. maybe something like "...from Pokemon like Meowscarada, which it hits with Icy Wind so a teammate can KO it." would work better?

Yeah, think maybe it would be better to just change it to a generic "Focus Sash compliments Iron Bundles lacking bulk letting it survive artacks that would OHKO it"?

Iron Bundle outspeed everything capable of ohko-ing it and usually ohkos back. It is the pokemon with absurd bulk like iron hands and sylveon or sash users like Meowscarada abd Chien-Pao or random tera types that would warrant this item
