Incineroar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz / Close Combat
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Incineroar demands the crowd's excitement as it gets ready to rumble in RU! Thanks to Swords Dance and a solid offensive movepool, Incineroar is one of the metagame's most staggering wallbreakers. Its typing alongside Intimidate gives it multiple setup opportunities, including against Chandelure, Dhelmise, and Choice-locked Gardevoir. Moreover, its potent STAB combination has great coverage, even threatening tier staples like Registeel, Metagross, and, most importantly, Reuniclus. However, Close Combat can be used in lieu of its nuclear Flare Blitz to pummel Guzzlord, Rhyperior, Umbreon, and opposing Incineroar, and is a recoil-less move against Steel-types like Registeel and Steelix. U-turn lets it pivot out of its bulky Water-type checks such as Milotic, Gastrodon, and Vaporeon, which makes it pair incredibly well with teammates like Roserade and Xurkitree; the former also provides Spikes, while the latter can bring Incineroar in safely on bulky Grass-types such as Celebi, Roserade, and Vileplume via Volt Switch. Flygon can easily clean up late-game with either its Dragon Dance or Choice Scarf set once Incineroar has overwhelmed a shared check in Milotic.

Not sure I agree with this set, but

idt comparing incin to what it did in sm is good, many people I don't think will relate well. You can think of some other fluffed up intro, maybe mention how it's one of the tier's best.

By leaving behind its specially defensive pivot role
Incineroar's defensive variants as setup fodder.
I don't really like comparing offensive incin do spd incin, when its best set for a while now has been offensive

Think of some other fluffed up intro.
ts potent STAB combination hits everything in the metagame at least neutrally,
There's technically Guzzlord and opposing incin, though you've CC. More that this is technically not true, just change it a bit

while the latter can bring Incineroar in safely on bulky Grass-types like Celebi, Roserade, and Vileplume
With Volt Switch

qc 1/1 this is good
