Trying to take photos of individual mons in the overworld is surprisingly difficult because they will go to sleep if idle for too long, and camera time counts as well. They also usually walk right next to you and go out of range of the outer camera which is not ideal for non-selfie profile shots. I ended up placing my Azumarill in a fountain to get a good view of it.

I saw 2 groups of green Squawkabilly spawn at the same time. They were all looking at me at a point but stopped as I walked away, and as I tried to approach again they charged into me.

I took some shots from the top of the academy, mainly from the dome on the east tower near the entrance. The platform with the pokeball is reachable from a ledge on the towers next to the central platform, but you can't really do much from there as jumping hits a height limit and respawns you, so you can't climb on top or get onto the tower with a tree on it. It gives you a nice high view overlooking Mesagoza though.

Ok decided to give my own two cents on this!

A selfie with Onigiri the tatsugiri! Ngl she looks so disappointed in me. But what did I do Onigiri? What did I do that made you so upset? STOP LOOKING AT ME WEIRD AND ANSWER!!

And here's Koraidon the koraidon sleeping right beside Flint the cyclizar (and Fawn the deerling in the corner) presumably after telling him stories about the past. They kinda remind me of a picture I found of when I was little ngl.

He fell asleep in such a way that looks like he wrapped the arms around my leg. Pretty cute

Also just thought Quilladin looks cute too in this game. The texturing helps him pop a little. And so happy!

Thanks to the new Home update, there was a big influx of Vivillon trading on GTS and I was able to get the last 8 or 9 of the ones I needed. I decided to commemorate with a bunch of photos of the 20 in SV

The Fancy one here is the one from the ancient Gen 6 GTS give away, not one of the Paldea natives.

It was really charming seeing them fly around and spin, though it made it very difficult for them to actually like...pose for a photo lol.

Magearna's animations are too good for this world.

I think something's wrong with Zamazenta's model. Even Zacian's noticed.

Here are some pictures of random Pokemon NPCs in Cascarrafa that I found while collecting chairs.

Below will contain new photo opportunities from the DLC.

A wild Quagsire is a pretty good static subject to work with.

The titanic Loyal Three are visible from pretty far away, and you can get in range to start the Okidogi scene even during a picnic.

The Roto-Stick itself is visible for a frame when changing around positions.

Making use of the selfie stick, emotes, and the new staying function.

Bonus: making a Pokemon stay on a raft will keep the raft around when you get in a battle even on land.

Even NPC dialog shows up in pictures, and they also change their facial expressions in response to the camera radio if they're the type to face you.

The bubbles still stay attached to where they are even when rotating the camera.
