Impersonators V2
Welcome to Impersonators V2! The idea of this Pet Mod is for a Pokémon to "replace" another Pokémon, taking some of their key features in the process.

When a Pokémon "replaces" or "impersonates" another Pokémon, they gain any signature moves, items, or forms that the one being impersonated may have. The typing, category and secondary effects of these signature moves can change, but BP, PP, and Accuracy are set in stone. Signature abilities follow the same rules, you may change their type or category (Poison-type Fairy Aura clone or Special Pure Power clone), but not their effects. The Pokemon being impersonated also gives all its abilities, and optionally its typing, replacing the secondary type of the impersonator. The Pokémon keeps their movepool and their stats proportially to each other, but not their Base Stat Total.

-Stat Rules-
The stats follow a simple formula:
Result Stat = Impersonator Stat * Impersonated BST / Impersonator BST
Stats have to be rounded up or down to match the exact target BST. As for the stats of forms, they work like in other Mods like Mix and Mega and Fusion Evolution. In each slate with a form, the stat changes will be posted to avoid confusion.
Use this calculator to calculate stats, mostly mandatory for submissions:
The Impersonators Tool (Dark Mode here) is ready with all the things (Let me know if something needs to be added/changed)
- Enter the stats in the leftmost column after rounding off from the stats in the rightmost column
- Enter all the abilities info in the abilities section
- Just click to copy
- You can always add/edit details after pasting it here if you want

Credits to OPStellar and Revenge of Depressed Gay for the update.
Some special Pokémon have their primary typing, such as Starters, Electric Rodents, Regional Rodents, Regional Birds, Regional Bugs and Fossils. Speaking of which...

-Type Rules-
The list of Pokémon with obligatory changes will be these:
Fire Starters - Fire
Water Starters - Water
Grass Starters - Grass
Electric Rodents - Electric
Regional Rodents - Normal
Regional Birds - Flying
Regional Bugs - Bug
Fossils - Rock
You can replace the secondary type of the impersonator with the primary OR secondary type of the impersonated. If they have obligatory changes, you can replace either the primary or secondary type of the impersonator with the primary type of the impersonated.
Example: Bug/Normal impersonating Fire/Fairy
If Fire/Fairy isn't a special mon, results can be Bug/Normal, Bug/Fairy or Bug/Fire.
If Fire/Fairy is a special mon (has obligatory changes), results can be Fire/Normal or Fire/Bug.
Here's a colored explanation:

That is a lot to take in, but I hope you can understand. I copied most of this from the original thread so please bear with me.

-Miscellaneous-
  • The council is currently me, Double Iron Bash and r1dude.
  • The Pet Mod will be slate based. Every slate, the council will post a few Pokémon to get replaced.
  • Only Pokemon that get replaced are allowed to be used.
  • Dynamax and Gigantamax are banned. Impersonator Pokémon will get Gigantamax Forms if the impersonated one has it, but those forms will only be usable in an Ubers side-meta.
  • Megas, Primals, Ultras and signature Z-Moves are returning, but not regular Z-Moves.
  • Stats cap at 255. If an impersonator has a stat that is over 255 (thus doesn't meet the impersonated BST target), it is forbidden to be used.
  • We have a Discord Server! Link: https://discord.gg/ybjYfn6NrJ

With that out of the way, enjoy the mod!

Alright, I think that should be enough reserved spots. To anyone asking, due to the massive imbalance from V1, we will be starting anew. Let's get into the first slate, which will be...

Slate 1: Galarian Starters

Cinderace offers its Fire-type (OBLIGATORY), two signature moves (Pyro Ball and Court Change), that move's respective G-Max Move (G-Max Fireball), a signature ability (Libero), and 530 BST
Inteleon offers its Water-type (OBLIGATORY), a signature move (Snipe Shot), that move's respective G-Max Move (G-Max Hydrosnipe), and 530 BST
Rillaboom offers its Grass-type (OBLIGATORY), a signature move (Drum Beating), that move's respective G-Max Move (G-Max Drum Solo), and 530 BST
Notice: If you change a signature move, you also MUST change the respective G-Max Move.

Alright, get subbing! Submissions end in 5 days or a week. Please keep submissions balanced this time, I do NOT want an unbalanced metagame. At the end of each slate, I will also open veto slates.

Stats: 61 / 100 / 89 / 56 / 117 / 107 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Overgrow / Grassy Surge
Move Changes:
Spirit Tremor - 80 BP, Ghost type, Physical, 100% to lower the target’s Speed by 1
G-Max Headwringer - 160 BP, Ghost type, Physical, Confuses opponents.
Overview: Powerful SD breaker with an already solid speed tier and Spirit Tremor to make it even harder to check offensively. Its special bulk is actually fairly solid, so living hits isn't completely out of the question. Spirit Tremor isn't the strongest STAB and Wood Hammer + LO chip wear you down pretty quickly, but Grassy Surge helps a lot in counteracting the chip.

Overview: A slow special wallbreaker with libero or potentially a devastating OTR user.

Impersonator: Hawlucha
Types:

Stats: 83 / 98 / 80 / 78 / 66 / 125 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Torrent/Sniper
Move Changes: Snipe Shot and GMAX-Hydrosnipe are now both physical.
Overview: Look inteleon sucks, I figured fusing it with hawlucha would make it suck less since it now has hawlucha's movepool at least. There's only so much I can do to make it good

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Rillaboom
Impersonator: Tsareena
Types:

Stats: 75 / 125 / 102 / 51 / 102 / 75 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Overgrow/Grassy Surge
Move Changes: N/A
Overview: It's just a slower rillaboom but why fix what ain't broke.

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Cinderace
Impersonator: Obstagoon
Types:

Stats: 95 / 91 / 103 / 61 / 83 / 97 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Blaze/Libero
Move Changes: None
Overview: Since for some reason every damn mon has Swords Dance or Dragon Dance, I tried to grab a Pokemon that only has Bulk Up as its boosting move. So yeah, here's Obstagoon with some good bulk. Instead of U-Turn, it can still pivot out of the field thanks to Parting Shot. Dark type also gives it a free switch into Psychic moves.

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Cinderace
Impersonator: Cobalion
Types:

Stats: 84 / 83 / 117 / 83 / 65 / 98 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Blaze / Libero
Move Changes: none x
Overview: A funky fresh Heatran clone! Cobalion gains an incredibly useful Fire/Steel typing and excellent STAB in Pyro Ball, while retaining its unique utility options with Volt Switch, Stealth Rock, and Taunt. Fire/Steel give offensive(?) and defensive sets plenty of switch-in opportunities - immunities to Burn and Toxic kinda fucks ngl - but also this is assuming you don't use Libero. Just fyi, only freaks of nature use Libero. Real ones use Blaze. Anyways I cba to write anymore for this disgusting freak Heatran wannabe so just imagine I wrote something really poignant about the philosophy of Pokemon and why Cinderace x Cobalion is the absolute #1 best sub here, ty x

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Inteleon
Impersonator: Clefable
Types:

Stats: 105 / 76 / 80 / 105 / 99 / 65 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Torrent / Sniper
Move Changes:
Snipe Shot -> Snipe Shot (Altered)
Special Snipe Shot. Because Impersonators is LAME and BORING and WON'T LET ME DO WATER-TYPE FROST BREATH
G-Max Hydrosnipe remains the same
Overview: Ok so hear me out right. No this isn't a joke I swear, just hear me out. Clefable but epic. No Don't close the spoiler please just hear me out. Clefable gets a decent increase to its stats and a really swell typing in Water/Fairy, but in return it loses out on its two amazing abilities, and the Electric weakness also kinda blows. Having a Grass weakness is also kinda lame rn considering we're guaranteed at least one Grass-type in this slate. Anyways we all know what Clefable is. Mon offers a shit ton of utility with its movepool and typing. Clefable essentially acts as a really solid glue mon for the early meta, fulfilling a large chunk of roles in one slot and providing a lot of versatility in its offensive and defensive sets

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Rillaboom
Impersonator: Cottonee
Types:

Stats: 76 / 51 / 114 / 71 / 94 / 124 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Overgrow / Grassy Surge
Move Changes: Drum Beating -> Cotton Beating
Special Drum Beating lol
G-Max Drum Solo stays the same
Overview: Cottoneez nuts. Cottonee's offenses may be lacking, but it makes up for it with its blazing fast Speed and incredible support movepool, featuring such classics as Defog, Encore, Memento, Knock Off, Taunt, U-turn and... idk, Stun Spore? This, coupled with Cottonee's newfound great bulk and access to Grassy Surge, makes it an excellent support and pivot. Weaknesses to Fire, Ice, and Flying all also suck, but its list of relevant resistances (Dark, Ground, and Fighting being the most notable) make up for it

Pyro Ball ---> Five Star (same thing but Special)
Court Change ( Ground)
G-Max Fireball ---> G-Max Starburst (same thing but Special)
Overview: Stats are cursed af but functionally pcool. Able to tank hits with its dumpy-ass SpDef and good defensive typing and reduce passivity with Libero. Ground Court Change lets it dodge Thunderbolts and Stone Edges.

Types:

Stats: 102 / 123 / 79 / 73 / 79 / 74 [BST: 530]

Overview: funny mon dos rillaboom stuff, the usual clicking STAB Grassy Glide, but now also clicks STAB high horsepower dragon moves. yep dragon moves. it also has a very neat defensive typing. i feel so dumb. mon has to click drum beating instead of grassy glide, wich tbh isn't too bad.

Just a quick note to submitters but Impersonators like Azelf-Rillaboom have the impersonator's movepool. So for Azelf-Rillaboom, it has Azelf's movepool + the signature move, modified or not. This is just a quick note because some people might have gotten confused:

Types:

Stats: 120 / 93 / 87 / 110 / 87 / 33 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Overgrow (Grassy Surge)

Overview: Appletun (Forma de Macaco) offers us a bulky Grass option right from the start of the meta. Its high mixed bulk combined with passive recovery from Grassy Surge makes it a very resilient tank, and 110 Special Attack combined with Apple Acid ensures it isn't passive. Thanks to above-average 93 Attack, it can also make use of Grassy Glide as an utility option. That said though, it misses out on much other means of utility, which is more or less its main downfall.

Types:

Stats: 109 / 109 / 62 / 94 / 62 / 94 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Blaze (Libero)

Overview: Nuzleaf's fairly extensive movepool allows it to have some fun with Libero. Good offensive stats on both sides + SD and Nasty Plot allow it some versatility on what it wishes to run. Physical overall has options such as Pyro Ball, Sucker Punch and Explosion, while Special has a shorter amount of options, namely Grass/Psychic/Dark/Ghost coverage. Its main downside is fairly low bulk and overall low BP STABs, and a Speed tier that is shaping up to be more or less mid, making it more like a mid speed breaker than a sweeper (Although Choiced sets still seem very useful). It also has a gimmicky set in Nature Power, which can give it more coverage if paired with terrain setters, but is most definitely a gimmick rather than a consistently viable strat.

Types:

Stats: 66 / 60 / 111 / 131 / 96 / 66 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Torrent (Sniper)

Overview: Glaceon is designed to abuse Sniper + Frost Breath. This combo makes Frost Breath into essentially a 135 BP move, turning Glaceon into a terrifying Special Breaker. Snipe Shot and Freeze Dry are both really interesting options as well and nicely make it have perfect coverage in 3 moves. Last slot is hard to fill in though thanks to Glaceon's movepool being rather limited. Other than that, its got the issue of being somewhat slow with a typing that really isn't interested in taking hits repeatedly (Although its mildly above average bulk helps with that).

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Cinderace
Impersonator: Ho-Oh
Types:

Stats: 83 / 101 / 70 / 86 / 120 / 70 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Blaze(Libero)
Overview: Special wall that has Sacred Fire with decent Attack to not be passive.Court Change is a very nice tool to turn the tide on hazards.

Impersonated: Cinderace
Impersonator: Solrock
Type: Fire/Rock
Abilities: Blaze/Libero
Stats: 104/109/98/63/75/81
Overview: It is the Pyro Ball. It has a solid amount of coverage it can abuse via Libero, and double dance (Rock Polish + SD) to potentially use to sweep. It's much bulkier than Cinderace, and can run Morning Sun to potentially recover back some HP, but in general, its main set of offensive moves don't do much to alter its core weaknesses much (apart from Zen Headbutt). It can run Choice sets, setup sets, or perhaps bulkier sets.

Impersonated: Rillaboom
Impersonator: Sirfetch’d
Type: Grass/Fighting
Abilities: Overgrow/Grassy Surge
Stats: 65/141/99/71/86/68
Overview: Did you know Sirfetch’d gets Grassy Glide? Thus, this is obligatory (might be a bit strong though, honestly).

Impersonator: Grumpig
Types:

Stats: 90 / 51 / 73 / 101 / 124 / 90 [BST: 529]
Abilites: Blaze | HA: Libero
Move Changes: Pearl Ball - Special Psychic clone of Pyro Ball. Burn chance replaced with confusion chance.
Overview: Grumpig with a potent special attacking stat and multi STAB thanks to Libero leaves its mark as a scary wallbreaker with average flowing speed. It's abhorrent physical bulk and only ok coverage help keep in check.

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Inteleon
Impersonator: Throh
Types:

Stats: 137 / 114 / 97 / 34 / 97 / 51 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Torrent | HA: Sniper
Move Changes: Snipe Toss - Physical clone of Snipe Shot.
Overview: Throh utilizes Sniper + Storm Throw to do big damage against walls in the tier while also having a serviceable defwnsive typing and natural bulk, allowing it to lean into the role of defensive pivot as well as wallbreaker.

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Rillaboom
Impersonator: Cradily
Types:

Stats: 92 / 87 / 104 / 87 / 114 / 46 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Overgrow/Grassy Surge
Move Changes: Drum Beating -> Ensnare
Drum Solo -> Mega Root
Overview: Basically does what Cradily (Recover/Leech Seed/Stealth Rock) already does, just better. It has better defensive stats, and an arguably better defensive ability in Grassy Surge, which provides some more passive recovery in addition to Leech Seed.

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Cinderace
Impersonator: Genesect
Types:

Stats: 62 / 106 / 84 / 106 / 84 / 88 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Blaze/Libero
Move Changes: N/A
Overview: It has a really expansive movepool coupled with equal offensive stats means that it can run a large variety of sets. It has Shift Gear, U-turn, and Pyro Ball on the physical side and BoltBeam and Techno Blast (+Drives) on the special side. However, its overall stats are very low and its typing leaves it vulnerable to Stealth Rocks.
(May change typing to Fire/Steel if Fire/Bug provides too big of a disadvantage)

Types:

Abilites: Overgrow / Grassy Surge (HA)

Move Changes:
Drum Beating: 100% chance to raise the user's Defense by 1.
G-Max Drum Solo: Ignores the target's stat stage changes.

Overview: This is essentially Dubwool with better stats but now it has Grassy Surge which allows it revenge kill with STAB Grassy Glide or stack up defense boosts with its new Drum Beating.

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Inteleon
Impersonator: Dragapult
Types:

Stats: 79 / 106 / 66 / 88 / 66 / 125 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Torrent / Sniper

Overview: Dragapult but weaker but STAB Hydro Pump is stronger than STAB Shadow Ball on regular Dragapult.

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Cinderace
Impersonator: Magearna
Types:

Stats: 70 / 87 / 101 / 114 / 101 / 57 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Blaze / Libero (HA)

Overview: Magearna but manageable. Sure Fire/Fairy has better coverage thatn Steel/Fairy, but Libero removes that factor. In addition Fire/Fairy is significantly worse than Steel/Fairy defensively.

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Rillaboom
Impersonator: Abomasnow
Types:

Stats: 97 / 99 / 80 / 99 / 91 / 64 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Overgrow / Grassy Surge
Move Changes: Drum Beating -> Snow Beating
(Ice-type instead of Grass-type, remains physical)
G-Max Drum Solo becomes G-Max Frost Drum and is Ice-type.
Overview: Compensate lousy defensive typing with a combination of decent bulk, decent Attack and Special Attack and a combination of Grassy Terrain and a better Ice-type physical move in the form of Snow Beating. For physical, dual priority STAB allows it to revenge kill a variety of threats that would be faster than it. Grass Terrain boosted Giga Drain or Wood Hammer are no joke either, and it have Stomping Tantrum for physical, or Earth Power for special, to take down pesky Steel-type foes.

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Cinderace
Impersonator: Octillery
Types:

Stats: 83 / 116 / 83 / 116 / 83 / 49 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Blaze / Libero
Move Changes: Pyro Ball isn’t changed
Court Change isn’t changed
G-Max Fireball isn’t changed
Overview: Although slow and slightly below average bulk, Octillery as Cinderace offers versatile learnset that allows it to be unpredictable, or even go mixed attacker if needed to thanks to perma-STAB with Libero. It have to run Heavy-Duty Boots to avoid hazard damage, but Court Change can help turn the tide.

Pokémon Being Impersonated: Inteleon
Impersonator: Walrein
Types:

Stats: 110 / 80 / 90 / 95 / 90 / 65 [BST: 530]
Abilites: Torrent / Sniper
Move Changes: Snipe Shot isn’t changed
G-Max Hydrosnipe isn’t changed
Overview: Basically Walrein but with an effective 135 BP Ice STAB with Frost Breath, and considering how Critical Hit works, completely ignores Light Screen / Aurora Veil and positive Special Defense stage of Calm Mind / Cosmic Power / Quiver Dance opponents. This makes Walrein tricky to switch into.
