[SET COMMENTS]
Trick Room Hatterene can be a deadly late-game sweeper, especially since it can set its own Psychic Terrain with Max Mindstorm, and it can't be easily revenge killed by Ditto if Trick Room is under effect. Mystical Fire provides good coverage for Steel-types such as Corviknight, Aegislash, and Ferrothorn. Leftovers is used in conjunction with an HP-invested EV spread to allow Hatterene to stick around for longer and have more opportunities to set Trick Room, as well as being able to more comfortably switch into passive walls like Toxapex and Jellicent. Gigantamax Hatterene is preferred, as G-Max Smite doesn't remove Psychic Terrain like Max Starfall does; G-Max Smite's confusion can also be very helpful in certain scenarios.
Since Hatterene is one of the best switch-ins to Toxapex in the game, teammates like Dragapult and Galarian Darmanitan greatly appreciate its support, and they can also help wallbreak for Hatterene to sweep down the line. Opposing Psychic-types such as Reuniclus and even opposing Hatterene can cause it to struggle to sweep with Trick Room; thus, allies that can deal with them like Aegislash, Excadrill, Grimmsnarl, and Dragapult are effective.

A bulkier set with Calm Mind can also be used, giving Hatterene a different role. The idea here is to set up Calm Mind on passive walls and use the added bulk to tank a hit from a faster attacker and retaliate with a deadly Calm Mind-boosted attack. Draining Kiss is preferred to help heal up Hatterene and make it even more of a pain to deal with. Stored Power is also an option, synergizing well with Calm Mind and letting Hatterene bypass Unaware Pyukumuku. There's also the option of Protect with three attacks; Protect gives Hatterene an added turn of Leftovers recovery and can be used to scout Choice item Pokemon as well as stall out Dynamax and rain turns, but it doesn't accomplish as much as a Calm Mind set does. Dazzling Gleam should be used over Draining Kiss on that particular set, as the lack of Calm Mind boosts makes Draining Kiss very unappealing. Defense investment is preferred to give Hatterene more setup opportunities, and the Speed investment lets it outpace Toxapex. The Gigantamax forme is preferred for Hatterene, as its Fairy-type moves don't remove the Psychic Terrain from Max Mindstorm.
Hatterene handles Toxapex wonderfully, so teammates like Dragapult, Galarian Darmanitan, and Aegislash are ideal. Aside from Dragapult and Aegislash, Corviknight and Gengar can also help Hatterene with Psychic-types and, alongside it, wear down Dark-types like Hydreigon and Grimmsnarl. Hatterene also really appreciates dual screens support from Grimmsnarl, especially the Stored Power variant.
