Dragon Dance in conjunction with Moxie and Dynamax make Gyarados a powerful setup sweeper. It has access to two amazing STAB Max Moves in Max Geyser and Max Airstream, which set up rain and boost its Speed, respectively. Max Airstream paired with Moxie is particularly dangerous, as they form a setup loop. These increase its ability to clean the opposing team by making it nearly impossible to revenge kill. As for coverage, it can run Power Whip to hit Water-types like Gastrodon, Seismitoad, and Rotom-W more reliably. Earthquake can also be used to hit Pokemon like Duraludon and Dracozolt that resist its STAB moves or safely take out a Haze user like Toxapex. While it functions best with Dynamax, it is not entirely reliant on it. Heavy-Duty Boots prevents Gyarados from being hindered from Stealth Rock, as Water-type teams do not run entry hazard removal.

Gyarados is unable to set up against Pokemon with Electric- or Rock-type coverage, which makes Seismitoad an excellent partner. In exchange, Gyarados is able to remove its Grass-type threats. It also has excellent synergy with Swift Swim Pokemon like Barraskewda and Drednaw, as they can break down the opposing Pokemon for the other to clean up late-game. The two also have the advantage of eliminating Ice-types with Freeze-Dry, which otherwise prevent Gyarados from setting up, like Lapras. Furthermore, they can use the rain from Max Geyser to sweep. Toxapex is a great partner, as it can take hits for Gyarados and cripple the foe with status such as burn or poison. Burning a physical attacker gives Gyarados more opportunities to set up with Dragon Dance.

- Intimidate seems like a waste in this metagame when moxie dynafish is stupid broken. remove it from the set, unless you can give an amazing example as a reason to keep it
- Toxapex is a haze user, it does not phase pokemon (moves like whirlwind/roar do)

QC 1/2

I would definitely talk about the Moxie + Max Airstream loop as a usage tip in the first paragraph.

Maybe worth mentioning boots because Water never runs removal? idk

Looks good otherwise. QC 2/2
