[OVERVIEW]
Gourgeist-S makes for a niche speed control option thanks to its typing, offensively threatening common foes like Gigalith, Wishiwashi, and Galarian Articuno while defensively dealing with Eldegoss and Sandslash as well. Choice Scarf makes it one of the fastest speed control options— letting it finish off Pokemon such as Ribombee, Adamant Sandslash in sand, and boosted Silvally. Its decent bulk allows it to spinblock as well. However, Gourgeist-S is not nearly as strong as Trevenant, and it lacks the bulk of Jellicent and Doublade to spinblock against Pokemon like Sandslash and Eldegoss often. Gourgeist-XL hits harder and can switch into the aforementioned spinners more easily thanks to its better bulk and it always fitting Synthesis. Gourgeist-S also competes with offensive Ghost-types like Haunter and Doublade that are not reliant on Poltergeist.

[SET COMMENTS]
Rock Slide allows Gourgeist-S to OHKO Charizard and Frosmoth while rounding out its coverage. Synthesis gives Gourgeist-S more longevity to switch into Eldegoss and reduces the harm of switching into Sandslash's Knock Off or Coalossal's Flamethrower. Trick cripples Pokemon that often wall Gourgeist-S such as Eldegoss, Weezing, and Altaria. Gourgeist-S fits best on bulky offense teams that require more speed control and thus cannot afford to use Trevenent. Gourgeist-S works well with other Water-resistant Pokemon like Mareanie so it does not have to risk Scald burns from foes such as Wishiwashi. Wishiwashi itself makes for a solid partner that can deal with Charizard. Gigalith similarly can cover Fire-types, while Gourgeist-S threatens Water- and Ground-types, but Gourgeist-S must mind sand reducing Synthesis recovery and letting Jolly Sandslash outspeeding it. Spikes users like Sandslash appreciate Gourgeist's ability to spinblock. Pokemon with high natural Speed like Ribombee and Jolteon allow Gourgeist to use Trick more freely.

[OVERVIEW]
Gourgeist-Small makes for a decent speed control option with its offensive typing, finishing off foes like Ribombee and boosted Frosmoth Adamant Sandslash in sand (+2 Adamant Sandslash, +2 Aurorus, or something like +1 Silvally might be better examples here; Frosmoth gets some usage here and there, but the impetus for building with CS Geist-Small specifically is rarely ever going to be RKOing +1 Frosmoth not behind a sub, that's basically just a secondary gain for using this exact set). Its decent bulk allows it to spin-block versus Eldegoss as well. Gourgeist-Small, however, cannot spin-block as easily as its bulkier formes can, as their defenses better enable them to spinblock Pokemon with super effective coverage, like Sandslash and Kabutops. due to its bulk and is not nearly as strong as Trevenent (spelling)(expand).

(To flesh this out a bit more, you could contrast CS Geist-Small with other speed control options like CS Trick Haunter / CS Switcheroo Whimsi - kind of similar roles here, but there's a time to use each of these.

You could elaborate on there being opportunity cost in using CS Geist-Small and it needing to fight for a teamslot with other Ghost-types - things like Trevenant are more immediately threatening, Doublade offers good resistances and still some semblance of speed control with Shadow Sneak, bulkier Gourgeist forms are better at spinblocking Knock Off users like Sandslash, etc.

You could also mention how
CS Geist-Small is actually kind of unreliable at spinblocking anything other than Eldegoss; it risks its scarf to maybe keep hazards up versus other spinners like Knock Sandslash / Knock Kabutops, and losing scarf in turn leaves you liable to be swept by something like +2 Aurorus or +1 Silvally-Ghost. Spinners other than the ones mentioned are mostly off-meta, but they all have super effective coverage for Geist-Small, too.)

Destiny Bond either as a slash or in comments

[SET COMMENTS]
Rock Slide allows Gourgeist to OHKO Charizard and Frosmoth, and has decent neutral coverage should a Pokemon like Weezing Vikavolt be itemless (another reason to run Rock Slide is +2 Vikavolt after Throat Spray is used. Unless you're hoping for flinchhax or Weezing's at death's door already, you're not really going to be clicking this very often versus Weezing specifically given the damage Rock Slide does to Weezing is very little (Rock Slide does 11% min to Weezing / Pwhip does 3% more than RS), so Geist-Small would rather switch or stay in to Trick or Dbond a healthy Weezing). Synthesis gives Gourgeist more longevity to switch into Eldegoss more frequently. Trick lets Gourgeist cripple Pokemon such as Eldegoss, Weezing, and Altaria, and works well in conjunction with Frisk for scouting and switching items with its foes. Gourgeist-Small fits best on bulky offense teams that require more speed control and cannot afford to use Trevenent (spelling). Gourgeist-Small works well with other Water-resists like Mareanie so it does not have to risk getting burnt by Scald from foes like Wishiwashi. Wishiwashi itself makes for a solid partner that can deal with Charizard. Gigalith similarly can cover Fire-types while Gourgeist threatens Water- and Ground-types, but needs to be mindful of Synthesis in sand and potentially being outsped by Jolly Sandslash. (Knock Off absorbers like Weezing can answer Tangela and Sandslash, so that Gourgeist-Small does not lose its ability to revenge kill boosted threats like Aurorus or Silvally-Ghost prematurely.

(mention Destiny Bond too)

Not QC, but I think Gourgeist-Small's niche there in the overview could be fleshed out a bit more. CS Geist-Small is already a seldom-used and very niche set, so contrasting it with other speed control options and perhaps other Ghost-types, talking about team options that help keep its Choice Scarf in tact for when it's needed, and going more into how Geist-Small plays vs boosted threats like +2 Adamant Sandslash, +2 Aurorus, +1 Silvally, etc. and spinners other than Eldegoss might be ways to clarify its niche for those looking for why to use this exact set.

Gourgeist-Small makes for a decent(at this point "usable" or "niche" would be more accurate) speed control option with its offensive typing being able to threaten common foes like Gigalith, Wishiwashi, and Galarian Articuno and utilize its typing defensively as well. Choice Scarf makes it one of the fastest speed control options-- letting it finish off Pokemon such as (unboosted)Ribombee, Adamant Sandslash under Sand and boosted Silvally. (also outspeeds a decent amount of other scarfs)Its decent bulk allows it to spin block as well.(and is immune to eldegoss's sleep powder) However, Gourgeist-Small is not nearly as strong as Trevenent and lacks the bulk of Jellicent and Doublade to spin block against Pokemon like Sandslash and Eldegoss respectively often. Gourgeist-Small also competes with offensive Ghost-types like Haunter and Doublade that are not reliant on Poltergeist.(can be combined with trevenant's mention as simply better offensive ghosts)(the reliance on poltergeist mention can be expanded to include power whip/rock slide also not being 100% accuracy)(also mention competing grass types)

Rock Slide allows Gourgeist to OHKO Charizard and Frosmoth while rounding out its coverage. Synthesis gives Gourgeist more longevity to switch into Eldegoss and lets it switch into Sandslash's Knock Off more safely.(this sounds like you want to switch into Sandslash's Knock Off, tho a sentence about watching out for stuff like that and Coalossal fire moves when spinblocking in could be mentioned) Trick lets Gourgeist cripple Pokemon (specify bulky)such as Eldegoss, Weezing, and Altaria. Gourgeist-Small fits best on bulky offense teams that require more speed control and cannot afford to use Trevenent.(rephrase to specify the speed is why not to use Trevenant, maybe also mention Gourgeist-Super) Gourgeist-Small works well with other Water-resists like Mareanie(maybe something a little more relevent?) so it does not have to risk getting burnt by Scald from foes such as Wishiwashi. Wishiwashi itself makes for a solid partner that can deal with Charizard.(combine this sentence with the last since Wishiwashi is a better water check example than mareanie) Gigalith similarly can cover Fire-types while Gourgeist threatens Water- and Ground-types, but needs to be mindful of Synthesis in Sand and potentially being outsped by Jolly Sandslash. Pokemon with natural speed like Ribombee and Jolteon allow Gourgeist to more freely use Trick too.(mention hazard setters that like spinblockers, and offensive mons that like hazards being kept up)

Gourgeist-Small makes for a niche speed control option with its offensive typing being able to threaten common foes like Gigalith, Wishiwashi, and Galarian Articuno and utilize its typing defensively as well the back half of this sentence is grammatically very messed up although the ideas are good. maybe a little more specificity on how it uses its defensive typing? able to pivot into grounds like sandslash or somth.
