Tera Type: Water / Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Spe
Impish Nature
- Spikes / Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Knock Off / Acrobatics
- Toxic / U-turn

Armed with excellent bulk and typing, Gligar glides over all as a defensive entry hazard setter! Knock Off cripples item-reliant Pokemon like Scyther, Piloswine, and Copperajah. Due to Gligar being a good Knock Off absorber, Acrobatics can be used to hit Flying-weak Pokemon like Shaymin, Heracross, and Arboliva, foes that would safely switch into Earthquake and Knock Off. Toxic cripples bulky setup sweepers like Dudunsparce and Paldean Tauros-F while U-turn lets Gligar escape bad matchups like Tatsugiri and Galarian Articuno. To shore up its average special bulk, special walls like Copperajah, Goodra, and Bronzong are appreciated. In turn, they appreciate Gligar stomaching physical hits from wallbreakers like Paldean Tauros-F, Heracross, and Lycanroc. If Gligar is running U-turn, Electric-types like Jolteon and Rotom-C can keep up momentum and form VoltTurn cores while threatening Water-types like Qwilfish and Tatsugiri. Wallbreakers like Bruxish and Hoopa can take advantage of the pivoting and hit the field more safely.

Acrobatics targets Flying-weak Pokemon like Shaymin, Heracross, and Arboliva, foes that would otherwise safely switch into Earthquake and Knock Off I would mention that Gligar is often a Knock Off switch-in, otherwise having Acro + an item might seem confusing. Toxic cripples bulky setup sweepers like Dudunsparce and Tauros-Paldea Blaze, while U-turn can escape bad matchups from Pokemon like Tatsugiri and Galarian Articuno. To shore up its average special bulk, special walls like Copperajah, Goodra, and Bronzong are appreciated. In turn, they appreciate Gligar stomaching physical hits from wallbreakers like Tauros-Paldea-Blaze, Passimian Heracross, and Lycanroc. If Gligar is running U-turn, Electric-types like Jolteon and Rotom-Mow can keep up momentum and form VoltTurn cores while threatening out Water-types like Qwilfish and Tatsugiri. Wallbreakers like Bruxish and Hoopa can take advantage of the pivoting and hit the field more safely.

yea to expand on the acro pt, really the whole appeal to it is that you switch into knock so frequently w/ this mon that it's often just another viable stab move like eq is + hits most of the knock users harder than eq would

Due to Gligar being a good Knock Off absorber, Acrobatics can be used to hit hits felt like this was saying "acro only hits these mons because it absorbs knock off", which isn't true, it's just weaker Flying-weak Pokemon like Shaymin, Heracross, and Arboliva, foes that would safely switch into Earthquake and Knock Off. Toxic cripples bulky setup sweepers like Dudunsparce and Paldean Tauros-F Tauros-Paldea Blaze, while U-turn lets Gligar can escape bad matchups from Pokemon like Tatsugiri and Galarian Articuno.
