[OVERVIEW]
Glastrier's astronomical Attack stat along with a great offensive typing and useful coverage in Close Combat, Crunch, and High Horsepower gives it a niche as a potent wallbreaker. Additionally, great natural bulk even uninvested lets Glastrier take neutral hits reasonably well from a plethora of threats in the tier. However, what it has in offensive power, Glastrier lacks in defensive utility. Despite its great bulk, Glastrier's poor defensive typing gives it a weakness to Stealth Rock and leaves it vulnerable to foes like Charizard, Gallade, and Lycanroc. Glastrier's miserable Speed stat only exacerbates this issue, leaving it outsped by Pokemon like Weezing and Jellicent and makes it prone to being revenge killed by the likes of Gallade, Galarian Articuno, and Centiskorch. In addition to this, Glastrier struggles to make progress against Pokemon like Levitate Weezing, Quagsire, and Doublade, making its performance as a wallbreaker somewhat questionable against more defensively-oriented teams. Furthermore, it faces stiff competition as an Ice-type wallbreaker from Sneasel, which boasts better Speed, a more useful offensive typing that gives it access to STAB Knock Off, and a stronger Ice-type STAB attack in Triple Axel.

[SET COMMENTS]
Close Combat provides useful coverage for Pokemon that can comfortably take Icicle Crash, like Gigalith, Ferroseed, Silvally-Steel, and Aggron. Glastrier's last slot has some variety. Crunch provides crucial coverage for Pokemon that resist Icicle Crash like Jellicent, Centiskorch, and Doublade. High Horsepower is an option that lets Glastrier hit Neutralizing Gas Weezing, Lanturn, and Doublade harder while also synergizing better with Close Combat. However, it provides less important coverage than Crunch, making it inferior much of the time.

Glastrier's defensive shortcomings due to its Ice typing and miserable Speed mean that support from pivots such as Ribombee, Wishiwashi, and Mesprit is essential for it. Grass-types like Eldegoss, Thwackey, and Whimsicott make for excellent partners, as they can break through Water-types like Quagsire and Lanturn that would otherwise inhibit Glastrier’s offensive potential. Eldegoss provides much-appreciated entry hazard removal in the case that Glastrier loses its item, and Whimsicott provides great utility in Sleep Powder and Knock Off to punish switch-ins like Centiskorch and Lanturn while also having a flexible offensive presence that allows it to assist versus Pokemon like Weezing and Quagsire. Thwackey provides useful Grassy Terrain support, which gives Glastrier better overall longevity. Charizard is another excellent offensive partner, as it can assist with breaking through Pokemon such as Weezing and Centiskorch while appreciating Glastrier's ability to break through Gigalith.

Close Combat provides useful coverage for Pokemon that can comfortably take Icicle Crash, like Gigalith, Ferroseed, Silvally-Steel, and Aggron. Glastrier's last slot has some variety. Crunch provides crucial coverage for Ghost-types that resist Icicle Crash like Jellicent and Doublade. High Horsepower allows for Glastrier to hit Doublade, Centiskorch, and Garbodor, while also syngerizing better with Close Combat. centiskorch is hit by crunch too (a bit weaker but ok) and garbodor is both uncommon and not something you want to deal contact damage to. Qwilfish, NGas weezing, ig lanturn? could be mentions? honestly now that i think about this maybe we should unslash high horsepower. maybe leave the mention but only put crunch in the set cuz im not seeing why HH would be the preferred option

Glastrier's defensive short-comings due to its Ice-type and miserable Speed mean that support from pivots such as Ribombee, Wishiwashi, Mesprit, and Uxie is essential for Glastrier. Entry hazard removal from the likes of Eldegoss and Silvally-Steel allows Glastrier to maintain longevity through removing Stealth Rock. I'll admit to not having used this thing like, at all, but Glastrier + Charizard or Glastrier + offensive grass both seem like reasonable starting places to expand. If you're not sure, ask on discord, but a lack of offensive partners is a massive issue

However, for what it has in offensive power, Glastrier lacks in defensive utility. Despite its great bulk, Glastrier’s poor defensive typing gives it a weakness to Stealth Rock and STAB moves and coverage moves (this part doesn't feel necessary, all of your examples would generally use their STAB moves against glastrier. you could say something like "and leaves it vulnerable to foes like..." instead.) from the likes of Charizard, Gallade, Aggron, and Lycanroc (aggron doesn't need to be here imo, three examples is enough + it's both mainly defensive and slower than glastrier.). Glastrier’s miserable Speed stat only exacerbates this issue, getting outspeed by Pokemon like Weezing and Jellicent. It also makes it prone to being revenge-killed by the likes of Gallade, Articuno-Galar, and Centiskorch. Close Combat provides useful coverage for Pokemon that can comfortably take Icicle Crash, like Gigalith, Ferroseed, Silvally-Steel, and Aggron. Glastrier's last slot has some variety. Crunch provides crucial coverage for Ghost-types that resist Icicle Crash like Jellicent, Centiskorch, (my fav ghost-type) and Doublade. High Horsepower is an option that lets Glastrier hit Neutralizing Gas Weezing, Doublade, and Lanturn while also syngerizing better with Close Combat. (should move the doublade mention to the end and say that it takes more damage from HH than crunch.) However, it provides less important coverage than Crunch, making it less preferred much of the time.

Glastrier's defensive short-comings due to its Ice-type and miserable Speed mean that support from pivots such as Ribombee, Wishiwashi, Mesprit, and Uxie (nuke uxie, mainly a bulky setup sweeper these days.) is essential for Glastrier. Entry hazard removal from the likes of Eldegoss and Silvally-Steel allows Glastrier to maintain longevity through removing Stealth Rock. (not really worth mentioning as its own point with glas running boots. however...) Offensive Grass-types like Thwackey, Whimsicott, and Silvally-Grass make for excellent partners, as they can break through Water-types like Quagsire and Lanturn that would otherwise inhibit Glastrier’s offensive potential. (...you could use eldegoss as an example here over grassvally and make this point about grass-types in general instead of offensive ones specifically. you could also mention that eldegoss can remove hazards in the event that glastrier loses its boots. i say to remove grassvally bc it mainly only fits on hyper offense, a teamstyle glas is inconsistent on.) Charizard is another excellent offensive partner, as it can assist with breaking through Pokemon such as Weezing and Centiskorch while appreciating Glastrier’s ability to break through Gigalith.

(EDIT: you could alternatively say that grass-types are good partners before mentioning your offensive examples and then mentioning eldegoss as a defensive example. your call.)

(you could probably just move this part to where you explain what makes eldegoss a good partner. they both provide removal and also have tools to punish the switch-ins they share with glastrier, like sleep powder and knock off. the only reason i bring this up is bc offensive whimsicott, which i think you're referencing here, is not as common as defensive defog.) Charizard is another excellent offensive partner, as it can assist with breaking through Pokemon such as Weezing and Centiskorch while appreciating Glastrier’s ability to break through Gigalith.
