Its Special Defense may keep it from being able to set up at will and it hates Woopquaza since it lacks an Ice or Fairy move, but if you play your cards right, Gravitricity will win you games

This thing's just weird. The downside here is pretty obvious: your typing and stats switch at the end of every turn, taking you from physically-geared to special and back. The upside is a pretty nutty movepool. Aura Wheel is insane in both forms, it's tanky enough to act as a strong spinner on offense, it's fast enough to pivot out when it's caught in the wrong form, and the coverage, while not excellent, is enough to get the job done. I think physical is the set here since STAB Aura Wheel helps to make up for the weaker physical stats in base, though special is more immediately threatening. There might be some merit to mixed too, idk. At worst, it's a very fun mon to theorymon for.

Yeah we kind of don't have any non-mixed specially defensive mons besides Regidurr, and while this one has its similarities with Carcannon and Paracoal, the weaknesses to Earthquake and Knock Off as well as shit regen help it to stand out. Sacred Fire is a pretty cool and/or obnoxious move on a defensive mon, though Carc and Coal can switch in on this thing pretty freely, only fearing Toxic and I guess Ancient Power. Beldum contributes exactly nothing besides a type and ability to fuse with.

This thing's ability is wack, if you get hit from 100% to 50% you deal 311 damage to the mon that hit you, without HP investment. Also, you can refresh it with Roost. I don't think any variation of dealing damage when getting taken below 50% is going to work out here, ability needs a complete overhaul.

Role Justification: Not only it acts as a solid answer to M-Woopquaza, it packs a ton of potential roles to do, from a Rapid Spin/hazard setting set that can abuse non-passivity from Skill Link to a Shell Smasher that also abuses Meteor Beam. Being a bulky Water type also means it can disrupt the current offensive creep in the meta, which is further complemented by Moonlight and having a good match-up to the only weather abuser (Pelilicky), however, its typing still leaves it weak to rather common offensive kinds of coverage, and its speed isn't something to write home about.
Between Smash and defensive sets this one's a little too good at everything. Losing Levitate effects would go a long way, or you could lower the stats a little.

SD + Glide with that typing is just a little too strong here. Stats can't really go down so maybe change the ability or typing.

Big bird is too big. Downpour and Roost make it pretty bulky, its special offenses are strong for the tier, and it's got some good utility between pivoting and Pressure Defog. I think you'd have to rework the ability on this one.

This takes us to the end of Gen 8 Fusion Evolution. Counting all of FE Alpha, UU, RU and NU, we have created 270 fusions over the span of this gen!

Some years ago, seeing a litte thread called "Fusion Moves" is what made me get into Pet Mods. From there I found the main Fusion Evolution thread at whatever version it was at the time, and started subbing. That little thread is what led me to eventually become a part of this amazing community, and fast forward to now, its a huge part on why I became a Community Leader and has greatly helped me with my pixelart. Its a blast to design most of these fusions, see what people think of them and sometimes even become incredibly iconic even outside of Fusion Evolution (Like our lord and saviour monkesmart)

Fusion Evolution (OU) used to be a broken mess. Massive bsts rolling around, abilities with a ton of effects stacked onto eachother, over a thousand playable fusions, and very little plans to make it actually playable. So if you told me it would become one of the most iconic metagames of the gen, I never would've believed you then but here we are in the future. Despite each FE meta having its ups and downs, I'm still incredibly proud to see all of them being legit metagames. Fusion Evolution is a project that means a lot to me and I am very glad to see how many people also love the mod.

Here's looking forward to what we will achieve in Gen 9!

So what's next? We won't be moving into Gen 9 right away as I'd rather wait to see how the Gen 9 meta will play, but for now, Council has a few balance patches in mind, both for this and RU. After that we will likely have a couple tours. The idea is to leave every remaining playable FE meta as balanced as possible before moving into Gen 9.



Otherwise, this marks the ending point of this mod for Gen 8. Thank you so much to all who participated, and I hope to see you again next gen!
