BoopToOblivion, if you're still interested in voting, you could break the current tie between PokemonMasterDebater and Scoopapa for Forretress. We do need someone to do that.

For fairness, this is extended to anyone else who wishes to vote. Extended voting will close Wednesday and is only between PokemonMaster Debater and Scoopapa for Forretress.

Do we get to vote again? Never participated in a tiebreaker.

Yes, you do/can for Forretress, whose tiebreaker has not yet ended. (unless of course you already voted in this tiebreaker for Forretress, but that only applies to me and Scoopapa)

*Special* Submissions Slate 5: Mega Mayhem! 11/9 - 11/16

For our fifth slate, we're doing a special Mega edition! You don't change the stats, ability, etc. of the Pokemon's base form, but of its Mega Evolution. These aren't any normal Mega Evolutions, either: they are relegated to Uber and will remain that way! Because of the above, the following rules are attached to this slate:
1. You must boost base stat total from the original Pokemon by exactly 100.
2. The base Pokemon must hold the Pokemon's Mega Stone to Mega Evolve.
3. No stat can be lower than the base's corresponding stat. (sorry Beedrill fans)
The exception is if the stat is above a limit set by the take, in which case you can lower it, but only so far as the take specifies.
4. The Mega Evolutions should be designed with the Uber environment in mind. That being said, you still don't need to make another Primal Groudon; a decent but definitely not binding idea of a target viability range here is between Mega Salamence's and Naganadel's, inclusive. Prominent threats there to keep in mind in Uber include Primal Groudon, Necrozma-Dusk Mane, Xerneas, Zygarde-Complete, Arceus, and Mega Gengar and Salamence, but remember that you aren't trying to beat them all. A more comprehensive list of threats can be found here.

Despite either boasting dominating stats or once destroying OU, these Mega Evolutions generally fall flat in Ubers play, with none surpassing the C rankings on the tier's viability list. Mega Metagross was just kicked upstairs, Blaziken has not been able to mount pressure and sweeps like it used to, and Mega Mewtwo X suffers from a bevy of problems despite its imposing stats. Let's give them a new take on a niche.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Take 1: The CRUSHER
Stats: One attacking stat must be at least 170. Speed cannot exceed 120. You can lower MMX’s Speed to 120 for this.
Type Restriction: The Pokemon must keep its primary type.
Ability Ceiling: 4.5 (3.5 for Mega Mewtwo X) Has a rating of 5/3.5 or lower in my ability ranking on the first page.

New Moves: One stat-boosting move plus one damaging move, within reason, of a type the Pokemon already learns a damaging move of.

Takes 2: Keeping it Steady?
Stats: No stat above 135. For Mega Mewtwo X, no stat above 160. why must its Special Attack be 159 and not 160...
Type Restriction: Must not change from its current type.
Ability Ceiling: 5 (4 for Mega Mewtwo X)
New Moves: Three moves of your choice, including recovery.

Takes 3: Target Switch?
Stats: No stat above 180. If Attack, Special Attack, or Speed is above 140, these three stats can only be a combined 40 points above 140.
Type Restriction: Secondary type must change, and must exist.
Ability Ceiling: 4 (3 for Mega Mewtwo X)
New Moves: Two moves of the new secondary type, except for recovery.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If any of these restrictions allow for absolutely absurd brokenness, I reserve the right to change them (and of course tell everyone). I won't do this right before submissions end, though.

Some repeated advice, some of which is in the introductory post:
  • Follow your take's guidelines, but remember; they're purposefully broad to give your creativity room. Go enjoy it! Just do a double-check after you're done to ensure you follow the four restrictions and everything is ship-shape.
  • You can make one submission for each Pokemon. Voting is on Pokemon, not takes. You are making Pokemon via takes, not takes via Pokemon.
  • You don't need to reserve one take for every Pokemon. Anything from one take for each to all three Pokemon using one take is A-OK.
Feel free to ask any questions you need, and enjoy altering the mega-metagame's mega metagame!

For Take 1, what do we do with the speed cap if we choose Mega Mewtwo X? Since its base form has base 130 speed and we aren't allowed to lower it.

Shoot i caught that problem for Take 2 but not 1. Did not think mewtwo was that fast...

I’ve adjusted both takes.

Pokemon: Blaziken-Mega
Take: 2
Type:

Ability: Magic Guard
Stats: 80 / 135 / 100 / 110 / 100 / 105 | BST: 630 (Base +15 Atk, +30 Def, +30 SpD, +25 Spe)
New Moves: Roost, Head Smash, Mach Punch
Competitive Niche: Mega Blaziken can stay in its base form for one turn to allow Speed Boost to raise its speed so it can outspeed things like Mega Salamence, Arceus, and Mega Gengar. In its Mega form, it gains Magic Guard which negates hazard damage and recoil/crash damage, allowing it to freely spam its most powerful attacks like Flare Blitz, High Jump Kick, and Head Smash without worry of knocking itself out, which was a major downfall of the original Mega Blaziken.
Blaziken @ Blazikenite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- High Jump Kick
- Swords Dance

Pokemon: Mewtwo-Mega-X
Take: 1
Type: Psychic/Fighting
Ability: Distract (Intimidate for Special Attack)
Stats: 106/190/80/174/120/120 (+80 Atk, -10 Def, +10 SpA, +20 SpA, +20 SpD, - 10 Spe)
New Moves: Parting Shot, Psychic Fangs
Competitive Niche: Mewtwo-Mega-X already has a great offensive typing, so I kept that and gave it an offensive niche of helping to take on special attackers. It can use Taunt to break stall or Parting Shot to pivot, and is generally an annoying mon. It has trouble breaking through physical walls such as Groudon-Primal or Necrozma-Dusk-Mane, however, and can be OHKO'd by these mons easily due to its subpar physical bulk.
Sample Sets:
Pivot (Mewtwo-Mega-X) @ Mewtwonite X
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Psychic Fangs
- Low Kick
- Taunt / Earthquake
- Parting Shot / Earthquake

Setup (Mewtwo-Mega-X) @ Mewtwonite X
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Psychic Fangs
- Low Kick
- Recover
- Bulk Up

Pokemon: Metagross-Mega
Take: 2
Type: Steel/Psychic
Ability: Magic Bounce
Stats: 80/135/130/105/130/120 (+10 SpA, +40 SpD, +50 Spe)
New Moves: Heal Order, Rapid Spin, Roar
Competitive Niche: Mega Metagross functions as an improved Sableye-Mega, having great defenses along with Magic Bounce. It can set rocks, remove its own hazards, and roar the opponent away. It does compete with Necrozma-Dusk-Mane, however, who has a better matchup versus Groudon-Primal and other physical sweepers due to its Prism Armor ability and higher Attack.
Sample Sets:
Specially Defensive (Metagross-Mega) @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock / Rapid Spin / Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Heal Order
- Roar / Earthquake

Pokemon: Mega Blaziken
Take: 2
Type: Fire/Fairy
Ability: Sheer Force
Stats: 80/140/80/140/80/110 (+20 Atk, +10 Def, +30 SpA, +10 Def, +30 Spe)
New Moves: Moonblast, Play Rough, Vacuum Wave
Competitive Niche: Blaziken-Mega is a unique mixed wallbreaker, having a great offensive typing and stats along with a movepool packed with good coverage. However, it struggles against Groudon-Primal and can be revenge killed by faster mons like Marshadow, Yveltal, Lunala, and Ultra Necrozma.
Sample Sets:
Physical (Blaziken-Mega) @ Blazikenite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Play Rough
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance / Protect

Special (Blaziken-Mega) @ Blazikenite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Mild Nature
- Fire Blast
- Moonblast
- Earthquake
- Protect

Pokemon: Metagross-Mega
Take: 3
Type:

Ability: Triangulate* (Compoundeyes clone)
Stats: 80 / 170 / 130 / 95 / 105 / 120 | BST: 700 (Base +35 Atk, +15 SpD, +50 Spe)
New Moves: Dragon Dance, Dragon Rush
Competitive Niche: Mega Metagross loses its useless Psychic typing in exchange for the much better Dragon typing, also gaining too good moves in Dragon Dance and Dragon Rush. Its new ability, Triangulate, increases its accuracy by 30%, allowing its main STABs Meteor Mash and Dragon Rush to practically always hit. Not having Outrage means it won't get locked in when things like Xerneas are around, and Dragon Dance gives it a way to boost its most important stats. It is differentiated from the other Steel/Dragon, Dialga, by its high speed and being a physical threat.

Pokemon: Mewtwo-Mega-X
Take: 1
Type:

Ability: Unaware
Stats: 106 / 134 / 110 / 200 / 110 / 120 | BST: 780 (Base +24 Atk, +20 Def, +46 SpA, +20 SpD, -10 Spe)
New Moves: Nasty Plot, Earth Power
Competitive Niche: Mega Mewtwo X is a very hard hitter with base 200 SpA and Nasty Plot. Psystrike and Earth Power hit most Ubers Pokemon like Primal Groudon, Xerneas, Primal Kyogre, and Ho-Oh hard, with Ice Beam providing coverage against Lugia, Yveltal, Mega Salamence, and Zygarde. Unaware allows it to ignore boosts from Xerneas' Geomancy and Primal Groudon's Swords Dance.
These two mons seem questionable at best and downright broken at worst, since they have no viable defensive switch-in once they setup. Metagross-Mega is less of an issue than MMX since it can get walled decently by Skarmory and Celesteela, but neither are really used all that often because they don't have much of an impact on the mons that they want to beat. MMX, on the other hand, is just plain stupid because of its huge movepool that absolutely destroys any switchin. You'd have to continuously sack mons once it sets up a Nasty Plot, which is ridiculously overpowered and unhealthy to the Ubers meta.

252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-X Psystrike vs. 4 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 301-355 (46.8 - 55.2%) -- 71.9% chance to 2HKO
+2 252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-X Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 177-209 (50.2 - 59.3%) -- 79.3% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-X Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 277-327 (69.5 - 82.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-X Psystrike vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Arceus-Fairy: 387-456 (87.1 - 102.7%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO

Recently, I've been seeing a trend of people who have been submitting ideas without really considering its effect on the pet mod metagame. I'm not calling you out in particular, Origin, but I think that there should be a separate category of proof that the optimized Pokemon still has defensive and offensive checks, using the damage calculator.

I forgot blaze still has speed boost before the mega, that's gonna be a mad (and fun!) lad. #longliveblaze

That NP MMX... it's... I'm conflicted. It seems like it that special attack, even if you can't successfully set up it'll pull its weight every game, but its kind of frail, can't OHKO as much as you'd expect with our without a boost, and dies to a ton of things, so I'm not certain.

The biggest reason there's a chance is the unboostable and no-priority 120 Speed; Mega Gengar, Marshadow, Scarf Yveltal, and LO Sucker Punch Yveltal are all extremely common and viable, and shred it with the tiniest chip or just outright. Mgar traps and removes it without a chance to escape, Marshadow can get gutsy and Bulk Up on the switch-out, and Scarf Yveltal can also U-Turn out (which will kill if MMX is weakened enough, since it's SE now), so it's not entirely that MMX can merely switch to the counters of these and cash in on momentum.

252 SpA Gengar-Mega Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo-Mega-X: 296-350 (83.8 - 99.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Marshadow Spectral Thief vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mewtwo-Mega-X: 343-406 (97.1 - 115%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
4- Atk Dark Aura Yveltal Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mewtwo-Mega-X: 378-446 (107 - 126.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Dark Aura Yveltal Dark Pulse vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo-Mega-X: 356-420 (100.8 - 118.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
4 Atk Life Orb Dark Aura Yveltal Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mewtwo-Mega-X: 304-359 (86.1 - 101.6%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Other fast Pokemon (Xerneas, MMY, Naganadel, DeoA) and users of priority moves (ESpeed Arceus, Giratina-O) can either OHKO or do Massive Damage due to its "okay" 106/110/110 bulk and lack of recovery. This, and the lack of space for e.g. Recover on its sets overall (stabs are literally blanked by Yveltal), means that any significant chip will seal its doom in the long run to a set of things every team should probably have at least two of.
252+ SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo-Mega-X: 211-249 (59.7 - 70.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
228 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-Y Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo-Mega-X: 244-288 (69.1 - 81.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Naganadel Devastating Drake (195 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo-Mega-X: 288-340 (81.5 - 96.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo-Mega-X: 330-390 (93.4 - 110.4%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
252+ Atk Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mewtwo-Mega-X: 126-148 (35.6 - 41.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Griseous Orb Giratina-Origin Shadow Sneak vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mewtwo-Mega-X: 152-180 (43 - 50.9%) -- 2.7% chance to 2HKO

Defensively... yeah there's not many reliable answers. Stall teams are probably going to rely on a special eliminator like Mega Gengar to consistently beat it as is. It seems like a big problem that the defensive responses can only hit it once with a mediocre shot before dying, but that could often open the way for things like Scarf Xerneas to kill it every time it comes in and make it even harder for MMX to switch in. Overall, though, I think Anaconja raises a valid point. Even if it is forced out after claiming a boosted kill and chipped before that, it still can pose huge threats to possible switch-ins while unboosted and chipped even if it can't chip, especially with things like Ho-oh outsped. This could make it overwhelming in practice.

I think the best move is to replace NP with something else and leave its existing CM for boosting to be safe, Origin0. Funneling 20 SpA, 5 Def, and 5 SpD into Attack could make NP more consistently manageable, but I'm not certain.

Anyone else can certainly weigh in on this now or when Origin responds.

Pokemon: Mega Metagross
Take: 1
Type:
1541952016618.png
1541952069979.png

Ability: Sheer Force
Stats: 80/180/155/95/110/90 (+45 Atk, +25 Def, +20 SpDef, +10 Spe)
New Moves: Bulk Up, Ice Punch
Competitive Niche: Two of it’s STAB moves, Meteor Mash and Zen Headbutt, are boosted by Sheer Force. This new Mega Metagross has virtually no switch ins due to its massive attack stat. In addition, it gets access to many coverage moves that can take on virtually any pokemon provided that Mega Metagross isn’t OHKO’d by an attack.

1541954191674.png

Pokemon: Mega Blaziken
Take: 3
Type:
1541954566998.png
1541954541618.png

Ability: Aerialate
Stats: 80/175/75/110/75/115 (+55 Atk, +5 Def, +5 SpDef, +35 Spd)
New Moves: Drill Peck, Roost, Fake Out
Competitive Niche: After using a Fake Out as normal Blaziken, it can Mega Evolve and turn into a nearly unstoppable sweeper. After a Speed Boost, it can outspeed many of the pokemon who normally Scarf, and ends up outspeeding Deoxys S if both are fully speed invested.

1541955823424.png

Pokemon: Mega Mewtwo X
Take: 2
Type:
1541955836590.png
1541955853960.png

Ability: Technician
Stats: 106/150/110/154/130/150 (+40 Atk, +20 Def, +20 SpDef +20 Speed)
New Moves: Storm Throw, Vacuum Wave, Circle Throw
Competitive Niche: Mewtwo now has access to three incredibly useful new STAB attacks. While it’s stats are less spectacular than they could be, it’s ability gives it nearly perfect coverage with attacks that grant useful secondary effects.

Pokemon: Mewtwo-Mega-X
Take: 3
Type:

Ability: Iron Fist
Stats: 106 / 165 / 100 / 144 / 115 / 150 (BST: 780)
New Moves: Volt Switch, Discharge
Competitive Niche: Ubers is sorely lacking in Electric-types, with the type's best representative the mediocre Zekrom, a fact this lightning-fast Mewtwo with fists like thunderbolts seeks to help fix. Not only does 150 base Speed tie Deoxys as the tier's fastest relevant Pokemon, but it frees up Speed-neutral natures without worrying about underspeeding Mega Gengar and below. An Adamant nature compensates for a reduced 165 Attack, letting it 2HKO 252/0 Primal Groudon more often than not with Earthquake and wreak havoc with its immensely rare STAB Thunder Punch boosted further by Iron Fist. Electric stops not bothered by Earthquake have to beware of Ice Beam from a 149 Special Attack stat. Mewtwo suffers, though, from its mediocre bulk, and inability to OHKO a wide set of Pokemon, and inability to outpace scarfers especially when running Adamant (or another Speed-neutral nature). It notably can Volt Switch away from some problems, though.
Mewtwo @ Mewtwonite X
Ability: Unnerve -> Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Thunder Punch
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Volt Switch / Taunt / Drain Punch / Fire Punch / Power-Up Punch / Laser Focus

Stats: One attacking stat must be at least 170. Speed cannot exceed 120. You can lower MMX’s Speed to 120 for this.
I would change Ice Beam to Ice Punch (since with Iron Fist it does the same damage) and put Bulk Up as at least the 3rd slot for the fourth move.
