Moves

Overheat is Rotom-H's strongest STAB move, and when combined with Firium Z, it has a solid chance to OHKO offensive Nidoqueen after Stealth Rock and Hippowdon and Gligar with Inferno Overdrive into Overheat on the switch. Volt Switch lets Rotom-H generate momentum against its switch-ins like Latias and Hydreigon. Toxic lets it cripple these checks instead so they struggle to deal with it in the long term. Pain Split allows Rotom-H to keep itself healthy throughout a match, healing off against its switch-ins like Latias, Swampert, Chansey, and Rhyperior.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed investment allows Rotom-H to outspeed targets like Togekiss and Nidoking. If another teammate is using a Z-Crystal, Leftovers is an option to give Rotom-H some passive recovery to check Pokemon like Scizor better. However, without Firium Z, Rotom-H struggles to properly break through Pokemon that can stop it from using Volt Switch, like Gligar and Hippowdon

Usage Tips
========

Due to running a more offensive spread, this Rotom-H set struggles to check foes like Scizor as reliably as other variants. For example, Swords Dance Scizor's Life Orb-boosted Quick Attack has a high chance to OHKO Rotom-H after a Swords Dance and Stealth Rock damage. Rotom-H should therefore try to preserve its HP if it is needed to check such Pokemon, either through using Pain Split more often or avoiding taking unnecessary chip damage. Rotom-H's Z-move allows it to break through Pokemon that could otherwise live a hit and either force it out or block its Volt Switch, like Nidoqueen. It also allows it to more consistently break through Electric-immune foes like Gligar and Hippowdon. Against Gligar, Rotom-H should be careful to not waste its Z-move, as it won't be able to break through it without it. Rotom-H should therefore be careful to not throw away its Z-move out randomly when other switch-ins like Latias are present. It is often wiser to use Pain Split, Toxic, or attempt to Volt Switch beforehand and wait for Electric-immune Pokemon to be in range of its Z-move. Pain Split and Toxic are great options to cripple switch-ins like Latias and Hydreigon, as well as Fire-resistant Ground-types like Swampert and Rhyperior. Notably, Pain Split also allows Rotom-H to remove a large portion of Blissey's HP while fully healing itself, letting it put in more consistent work versus stall teams.

Team Options
========

Dragon-types like Mega Altaria, Hydreigon, and Latias tend to switch into Rotom-H very consistently, especially when they are running recovery moves. Teammates like Krookodile and Mega Aerodactyl can take advantage of this to get free opportunities to trap Latias with Pursuit. Mega Aerodactyl in particular appreciates Rotom-H crippling and breaking through Ground-types like Gligar and Hippowdon that it struggles with. Teammates like Scizor and Primarina are also helpful in this regard. Scizor is able to threaten Dragon Dance Mega Altaria that attempts to set up on Rotom-H and potentially Pursuit trap Latias. Primarina can pressure Hydreigon and either provide a defensive check to threats like Mega Aerodactyl and Nasty Plot Infernape or a wallbreaker that can help pressure Rotom-H's checks, especially those like Swampert and Rhyperior that can safely block its Volt Switch. Other wallbreakers, like mixed Infernape and Gengar, can pressure Ground-types for Rotom-H and appreciate being brought in against Pokemon like Hydreigon and Mega Altaria. Rotom-H's weakness to Stealth Rock means it benefits greatly from Defog and Rapid Spin support from Pokemon like Hydreigon, Tentacruel, and Empoleon. Hydreigon appreciates Rotom-H checking Togekiss, while Tentacruel and Empoleon provide reliable Primarina switch-ins. Tentacruel also provides a secondary Scizor check, while Empoleon can help Rotom-H break through Wish passers like Florges and Sylveon with Roar.

Overheat is Rotom-H's strongest STAB-move, and when combined with Firium Z allows it to have nuke targets like Nidoqueen, Gligar, and Hippowdon, having Seems pointless to state this when you go into further detail just after a solid chance to OHKO offensive Nidoqueen after Stealth Rock, and KOing Gligar and Hippowdon the latter two with Inferno Overdrive into Overheat on switch-in. Volt Switch lets Rotom-H generate momentum against its switch-ins like Latias and Hydreigon. Pain Split allows Rotom-H to keep itself healthy throughout a match, healing off its switch-ins like Latias, Swampert, and Rhyperior, while Toxic allows it to instead cripple these checks so they struggle to deal with it long term.

Usage Tips
========

Rotom-H's Z-move allows it to break through Pokemon like Nidoqueen that could otherwise easily live a hit and both force it out and block its Volt Switch. It also allows it to break through more consistent Volt Switch blockers like Gligar and Hippowdon. Against Gligar, Rotom-H should be careful to not waste its Z-move as it won't be able to break through it without it. Rotom-H should therefore be careful to not throw its Z-move out randomly when other switch ins like Latias are present, it can often be wiser to use Pain Split or attempt to Volt Switch beforehand and wait for one of these Ground-types to be in range of its Z-move, be careful about clicking Overheat immediately if you expect to want to use your Z-move afterwards, as it will be very weak. This sentence is too long, cut it down and simplify this. Other Ground-types like Rhyperior and Swampert that resist its STAB combo can switch into Rotom-H rather consistently. Rotom-H should attempt to Toxic these on switch-in, and if low on HP it can use Pain Split to remove a large portion of their HP. Thanks to its more offensive set, Rotom-H can remove these Pokemon with its Z-move if it wishes once they reach around 40% HP, but it should otherwise attempt to cripple these Pokemon or consider double switching if expecting them to come in.

Half this information feels very repetitive and unnecessary as a result. You can easily compress everything about the Ground-types into two-three sentences saying that it should look to cripple them with Toxic and be wary of firing out its Z-move carelessly if it wants to break past them. I see no need to further bring up more Ground-types to get this point across after the initial examples.

Likewise Pain Split and Toxic are great options to cripple switch-ins like Latias and Hydreigon, especially those runnning Roost, with the former often forcing a Roost while healing Rotom-H, giving it a freer switch out. This info isn't really needed. Noteably, it also allows Rotom-H to remove a large portion of Blissey's HP while fully healing itself, letting it put in more consistent work versus Stall teams.

Comment on how this being a more offensive set makes it worse at checking foes like Scizor as reliably.

Due to running a more offensive spread, this Rotom-H set struggles to check foes like Scizor more reliably, for example SD LIfe Orb Quick Attack Scizor has a high chance to OHKO Rotom-H after Stealth Rock at +2, and therefore it's HP should not be recklessly wasted if needed for such a role. I'd elaborate a bit more here since this feels a bit non-specific/general atm. Overheat is Rotom-H's strongest STAB- (right of the bat, this is very important: always make sure you add a simple note when making small changes regarding punctuation marks; AH short for "add hyphen" would be ideal) move, and, (AC) when combined with Firium Z, (AC) it allows it have a solid chance to OHKO (not an OHKO if it took Stealth Rock damage -> incorrect, OHKO doesn't take into consideration full HP, the word's pretty self-explanatory, one-hit KO, which means that a single hit can possibly KO Nidoqueen instantly as soon as it comes in and takes rocks damage) offensive Nidoqueen after Stealth Rock,(RC) and lets it KO Hippowdon and Gligar with Inferno Overdrive into Overheat on the switch- in. Volt Switch lets Rotom-H generate momentum against its switch-ins like Latias and Hydreigon. Toxic allows it to instead cripple these checks so they struggle to deal with it in the long term. Other wallbreakers, (AC) like Mixed mixed Infernape and Gengar, (AC) can pressure these Ground-types for Rotom-H,(RC) and appreciate can being (this was correct) brought in against Pokemon like Hydreigon and Mega Altaria. Rotom-H's crippling Stealth Rock weakness to Stealth Rock means it benefits greatly from Defog or Rapid spin Spin support from Pokemon like Hydreigon, Tentacruel, and Empoleon.

Moves
========

Overheat is Rotom-H's strongest STAB move, and,(RC) when combined with Firium Z, it allows it have it has a solid chance to OHKO offensive Nidoqueen after Stealth Rock and Hippowdon and Gligar with Inferno Overdrive into Overheat on the switch. Volt Switch lets Rotom-H generate momentum against its switch-ins like Latias and Hydreigon. Toxic allows it to instead lets it cripple these checks instead so they struggle to deal with it in the long term. Lastly, Pain Split allows Rotom-H to keep itself healthy throughout a match, healing off against its switch-ins like Latias, Swampert, Chansey, and Rhyperior.

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Against Gligar, Rotom-H should be careful to not waste its Z-move,(AC) as it won't be able to break through it without it. Notably, it Pain Split wasn't clear at first sight also allows Rotom-H to remove a large portion of Blissey's HP while fully healing itself, letting it put in more consistent work versus stall teams.

Team Options
========

Mega Aerodactyl in particular appreciates Rotom-H crippling or and can't it do both? breaking through Ground-types like Gligar and Hippowdon that it struggles with. Teammates like Scizor and Primarina are also helpful in this regard. Scizor is able to threaten Dragon Dance Mega Altaria that attempts to set up on Rotom-H and potentially Pursuit trap Latias. Primarina can pressure Hydreigon and either provide a defensive check to threats like Mega Aerodactyl and Nasty Plot Infernape or a wallbreaker that can help pressure Rotom-H's checks, especially those like Swampert and Rhyperior that can safely block its Volt Switches Volt Switch. Other wallbreakers, like mixed Infernape and Gengar, can pressure Ground-types for Rotom-H and appreciate being brought in against Pokemon like Hydreigon and Mega Altaria. Rotom-H's weakness to Stealth Rock means it benefits greatly from Defog or and Rapid Spin i know u don't run both on the same team, but it just looks wrong this way support from Pokemon like Hydreigon, Tentacruel, and Empoleon.
