Oooo, a Mon with some stat/learnset detail?? Let’s go! This is my design specialty.

Ice/Psychic typing is a rather unexplored one, and seems to work well for this Mon flavor-wise, though it may have trouble switching in considering how many weaknesses it has without the defensive stats to back it up, aside from the 120 base SpD.

Cryogeny working as a version of Comatose for freeze sounds really awesome- I just wish that there were more moves that interacted with Freeze as a status… The bonus of being immune to taunt and such is also really nice as a TR setter in doubles, though I’m unsure about being immune Intimidate. The secondary effect of causing Pokémon encountered with this Mon to have a 0 attack IV sounds useful in a playthrough of the game where you wanted fully optimized mons!

The learn set looks perfectly serviceable, and I like that it learns TR naturally to encourage using it’s low speed to your advantage. Explosion to safely get another Mon on the field afterwards seems pretty funny, too, but this seems like a better abuser of it’s own trick room!

If there was any suggestion to make this guy a bit stronger, I would say Magic Guard as a hidden ability would have perfect synergy with it while also not *totally* outclassing Cryogeny in it’s current state. While MG works better in singles, blocking chip damage from hazards, status, life orb, etc, Cryogeny allows this guy to blank sleep-inducing moves and taunt, which is more valuable in doubles. If there’s one thing I would change about Cryogeny, I would drop the immunity to Intimidate. It doesn’t help this Mon much since it doesn’t want to use it’s physical attach, and would simply give away which ability it was using immediately. Really cool Mon and neat design, good luck with finding a name for it!

Hey, I've been meaning to post to this thread for quite a bit. I haven't posted anything in this subforum for a while but I'm Duo. Started doing pixel art a long time ago because I thought it would be cool, fast forward a bit and now I make semi-frequent Fakemon for my subforum. I say Fakemon, but that might not even be a perfect way of putting it because a lot of them can be so outlandish and stupid that Pokemon would never make something like this. What do I mean? Well...

1676249579708.png

Fluxtape, The Blazing Beats Pokemon

"Fluxtape wanders around urban areas looking for people to listen to its music. However, few tend to enjoy how it sounds."
Pure Fire | 60/89/50/115/60/126 (500) | Flame Body / Competitive / Flash Fire
0'6", 0.5 lbs | Genderless | Mineral Egg Group

Movepool (made in Gen 8) includes Aura Sphere, Body Slam, Charge Beam, Confide, Covet, Curse, Double Team, Double-Edge, Dragon Breath, Dragon Dance, Dragon Pulse, Earth Power, Earthquake, Echoed Voice, Ember, Endure, Facade, Fire Blast, Fire Spin, Flame Charge, Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Fling, Focus Blast, Frustration, Giga Impact, Headbutt, Heat Wave, Helping Hand, Hidden Power, Hyper Beam, Hyper Voice, Incinerate, Lava Plume, Leer, Metal Sound, Mimic, Mud-Slap, Noble Roar, Overheat, Protect, Rapid Spin, Rest, Return, Roar, Rock Smash, Round, Secret Power, Shock Wave, Sleep Talk, Snore, Solar Beam, Strength, Substitute, Sunny Day, Swagger, Swift, Thief, Thunder Shock, Thunder Wave, Uproar, U-Turn, Will-o-Wisp, Work Up

Literally made a Pokemon based on the phrase "my mixtape is fire" and it soon became synonymous with a lot of my style with this kinda stuff. Not everything I make is like this, but I feel like there's enough of it and it's distinct enough for it to feel like it's "my thing." Initially I had a few ideas running with how I would actually design this, with my favorite for a bit being almost Kartana-ish in body shape, but this is what I landed on. Simple, stupid, distinct, it works.

But that's not all!

1676249090320.png
1676249515463.png

Fluxtape, Stereo Form

"Angered over people's unwillingness to listen to its music, Fluxtape now has fashioned a mech suit out of cheap, plastic sound equipment. It often forgets the reason it ended up so enraged as it mercilessly burns its enemies."
Fire/Electric | 110/129/100/105/80/76 (600) | Flame Body / Rock Head / Volt Absorb
2'11", 7.6 lbs | Genderless | Mineral Egg Group

Movepool is identical to base form's with the additions of Thunderbolt, Thunder, Volt Switch, Wild Charge, Thunder Shock, Thunder Punch, Spark

I gave it a boombox mech. I'm not normally one for giving the Fakemon I make alternate forms but this was one of two exceptions, and it's the only one of those two that had no reason to get one other than me thinking it'd be fun. Rock Head might not make much sense as an ability in a vacuum, especially when the Japanese name of the ability specifies "STONE Head," but in English it makes enough sense for rock and roll for me to be fine with it.
If you want a more NORMAL example of a Fakemon I'd make...
1676250337423.png
1676250415287.png

Moundud, The Wimpy Pokemon

"Rather than walking, Moundud opts to roll around. Many Grass-types will jump at the opportunity to bully it."
Pure Ground | 50/60/90/20/35/19 (274) | Heatproof / --- / Sturdy

3'01", 190 lbs | 75% Male, 25% Female | Mineral Egg Group

Movepool includes Arm Thrust, Assurance, Attract, Brick Break, Bulk Up, Bulldoze, Bullet Punch, Close Combat, Confide, Counter, Cross Chop, Defense Curl, Detect, Detect, Dig, Double Team, Dynamic Punch, Earth Power, Earthquake, Endure, Endure, Facade, Feint, Fire Punch, Fling, Focus Blast, Focus Energy, Focus Punch, Frustration, Heavy Slam, Helping Hand, High Horsepower, Ice Punch, Iron Defense, Knock Off, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Mud-Slap, Poison Jab, Power-Up Punch, Protect, Rain Dance, Rest, Return, Revenge, Rock Climb, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Rock Smash, Rock Tomb, Role Play, Round, Seismic Toss, Sleep Talk, Smack Down, Snore, Stealth Rock, Stomping Tantrum, Strength, Submission, Substitute, Sunny Day, Superpower, Surf, Swagger, Tackle, Thunder Punch, Wide Guard, Work Up

Ball of mud. Takes some inspiration from training dummies but not really too much. I feel like most of this comes together when you get to the evolution...

1676251204717.png
1676251249165.png

Mountough, The Durable Pokemon

"After extensive training, Mountough has gained resilience and strength rivaling that of even Tyranitar. No matter how strong it gets, it will always push itself further, never truly satisfied."
Ground/Fighting | 90/120/110/70/90/54 (534) | Heatproof / --- / Sturdy
7'05", 558.4 lbs | 75% Male, 25% Female | Mineral Egg Group

Movepool practically the same as the base form's

So the execution definitely would be different, but here's a concept that wouldn't be too out of line if Pokemon tried something similar. Instead of going off to train IN the mountains, if you know that whole movie trope, this Pokemon went off to train and BECOME a mountain. The bandage that was one on its gut is now removed, showing a permanent scar from its training, and it's now capable of fighting back against Pokemon that bully it, as shown by Attack being its highest stat and the fact that it has working arms now.

I don't know what to name this, but it's the first stage in a psuedo-legendary line. Also, I didn't color it, but the blobby part is pink and the rocks are rock-colored.

Abilities: Battle Armor, HA: Sturdy
HP: 25

It evolves (at level 35 if anyone cares) into:
Screenshot 2023-02-13 7.08.35 PM.png

The little shapes above its arm tentacles are supposed to be wing stubs. Other than that, it's just a larger version of the previous staged. I don't know what to name it.
Type: Fairy/Rock
Abilities: Battle Armor, HA: Sturdy
HP: 50
Attack: 65
Defense: 110
Special Attack: 60
Special Defense: 85
Speed: 70
BST: 470
It evolves at level 67 into:

I haven't drawn a picture of it yet, but it would probably just look like the previous stage, but with a pair of dragonfly-like wings grown from the wing stubs. It's also unnamed.
Type: Fairy/Rock
Abilities: Levitate
HP: 75
Atk: 80
Def: 140
Sp. Atk: 80
Sp. Def: 115

A possible start of the movepool for the final stage:
Stealth Rock, Moonblast, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Dazzling Gleam, Explosion, Misty Explosion, Fly, Steel Wing, Wing Attack, Power Gem, Ancient Power, Dig, Bind, Body Press, Body Slam, Bounce, Brutal Swing, Bulldoze, Rock Polish

I wanted to make two dragons Appletun/Flapple related, based on the future China region. They would be based on gunpowder, one on a cannon and the other on fireworks, but the firework one is too tough to draw for me. That one is poorly drawn but I could make it.
Blastragon
Dragon / Dark
118 / 129 / 105 / 83 / 100 / 41
Fireworker / Blast Master / Analytic
Fireworker: x1.5 damage to Fire-type moves.
Blast Master: immunity to blast moves. (Moonblast, Fire Blast, Vlast Burn, Beak Blast, Focus Blast, Rock Blast, Tchno Blast, Tera Blast, Sludge Bomb, Magnet Bomb, Mud Bomb, Seed Bomb, Sludge Bomb, Egg Bomb, Zap Cannon, Flash Cannon, Armor Cannon )
Yes I like mono-Dragon. Those balls are cannonballs, including the one in the mouth that turns red when it is to attack. It's horn is alike a idk the name that string to light cannons up. It's sat on his tail, using its back legs to stand. It's most of the time sat that way, but might go on his paws? to escape a danger, while letting its tail in the air. It eats dust by filtering the air with his cannon/mouth.

The names are kinda bad, but here is a Pokémon and it's evolution.
It's a quadroped Fighting / Rock type Fox Pokémon. I wanted to make a Pokémon that could make use of Contrary & Hammer Arm, so I made this (You might think it's weird for a quadroped to learn Hammer Arm but I see it using it's tail as a hammer :P). It also gets Superpower, so it can be a better Malamar in that regard. It's stats are very low though, I might give it a bit higher attack or speed, but the idea is you get that all by boosting up. Feel free to suggest stat changes, I'm not fully happy with those yet anyways. It also gets RockHead Head Smash if you want to do that :P

So this might not be the best place for this, and I'm not the most active on these forums, so I'll move this elsewhere if it seems off. But I've always been interested in a new typing. So... the sound type!

My main goals were to weaken fairy and water as types. I wrote this up on gen 8, and while I love water, I do think that grass is an underwhelming offensive type, so water and rain feel really strong. Fairy just isn't resisted by enough IMO. from there, I wanted to focus on themes.

Awaterbucketonlava here is the final design for the fakemon :)

NAME: Colostile
SPECIES: Gladiator Pokemon
TYPE: Dark/Fighting
POSSIBLE ABILITIES: Moody, Defiant
POSSIBLE HIDDEN ABILITY: Toxic Soul (Immune to Fairy type moves if hit with fairy move +1 DEF / SP. DEF)
HT: 5'07"
WT: 200 LBS

Colostile clash over territory regularly, they lead a troop of around 7 to 15 others in these battles. Battles to determine the leader of these troops, however, are settled with a One-On-One battle. If one gets their plume cut they will immediately surrender their position as the troop leader. The one with the biggest plume is elected as the troop leader.

Little known fact, I am a top notch Fakemon designer. I’m not so much with the art, but my conceptual and competetive designs are of legend. I’ve probably designed half as many Pokemon as all of gamefreak combined. jk I’m just decent/goodish but my designs are still cool. I’m blabbering. anyways, here’s Centidel

Concept: Citadel + Centipede. Centidel lives in deserts and mountains, thriving in hot, dry environments. It survives on minimal water. Centidel’s exoskeleton is coated with sand that hardened into a compact form, similar to stone, but far more durable. In battle, it coils itself into a tower to protect its underbelly while raining down attacks on the opponent, using its powerful jaws to crush and throw boulders. Other desert-dwelling Pokemon use Centidel as protection from the elements and as shelter, forming a symbiotic relationship.

I designed this for a region I made up, mostly for an experimental metagame that no one plays because it doesn’t really exist. It’s just fun to make. (High stats are as a result of it being a higher-level meta. He only ended up in UU or something though. Poor typing for a wall).

Other desert-dwelling Pokemon use Centidel as protection from the elements and as shelter, forming a symbiotic relationship.

this mon is really good the inspiration in the name and the design are clear i really love how it look a bit like stakataka and a rpg tower at the same time the idea is very original and your drawing was pretty good too
