Exeggutor's combination of high Special Attack, Leaf Storm, and Psychic typing make it much harder to safely switch into, unlike other Grass-types like Whimsicott and Eldegoss. However, Exeggutor's bulk, defensive typing, and Speed leave much to be desired, so it's easily offensively checked by Pokemon such as Charizard and U-turn Silvally-Steel. Furthermore, Exeggutor's lacking coverage leaves it easily walled by Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Galarian Articuno. Overall, this can leave Exeggutor difficult to justify over other superior Grass-types and Choice Specs users such as Whimsicott, Mesprit, and Jellicent.

Psychic is preferred to Psyshock for its greater damage output, but the latter can be used instead of or alongside it to help with special walls like Audino. Giga Drain is a more accurate Grass-type attack and gives Exeggutor some longevity. The last moveslot is very flexible, with Future Sight taking advantage of Exeggutor's high Special Attack to force switches, Sleep Powder crippling potential switch-ins like Togedemaru and Teleport gaining momentum. These moves can allow teammates like Gigalith and Ribombee to set up Stealth Rock and Quiver Dance, respectively. Exeggutor also pairs well with Pokemon such as Doublade and Sandslash, as it can help weaken their checks such as Quagsire and defensive Eldegoss. Exeggutor can struggle to take a hit when switching in, so slow pivots such as Wishiwashi and Lanturn are beneficial. It is important to note that since Exeggutor is locked into an attack, it can be easily taken advantage of by Pokemon like Swords Dance Sneasel and Quiver Dance Frosmoth, especially when locking into Leaf Storm.

Its combination of high Special Attack, access to Leaf Storm, and secondary Psychic-typing makes Exeggutor much harder to safely switch into, unlike other Grass-types like Whimsicott and Eldegoss. However, its typing and lack of coverage also leaves Exeggutor prone to being walled by the handful of resists such as Ferroseed and Galarian Articuno. The typing also, in conjunction with its mediocre Speed and average bulk, makes Exeggutor susceptible to being easily revenge killed by Pokemon like Charizard and Leech Life Sandslash. This leaves Exeggutor difficult to find reason to put on a team over Pokemon like Whimsicott, Jellicent, and Mesprit. could prob be more concise not totally necessary to cut down ig

With Exeggutor's main attribute being its large damage output, this set allows Exeggutor to hit as hard as possible with the combination of Choice Specs, 252 Special Attack EVs, and Modest nature need to reword a bit to not sound like filler. Leaf Storm furthers this, giving Exeggutor a strong special nuke. Giga Drain is a more reliable alternative to Leaf Storm and gives Exeggutor some longevity. Psychic is preferred over Psyshock for its higher damage output, but Psyshock can be used instead of or alongside if in fear of certain special walls like Audino. The last slot is very flexible, with Future Sight taking advantage of Exeggutor's high Special Attack to force switches, Sleep Powder to cripple potential checks like?, and Teleport to gain momentum. These moves can support teammates like Gigalith and Ribombee to set up Stealth Rock and Quiver Dance, respectively. Setup sweepers such as Sneasel and the previously mentioned Ribombee pair well with Exeggutor because it can weaken the opposing team and give them an easier time cleaning late-game. i think it's be better to name partners that explicitly take advantage of pokemon that eggy wears down i.e. doublade mention pivots/opposing pokemon that let eggy get in to do damage on
