Drednaw has a couple of key traits that give it a niche on rain teams as a Swords Dance sweeper. Its unimpressive Speed tier becomes solid under rain, outspeeding Choice Scarf users such as Flygon, Heracross, and Rotom-C. It also boasts access to Megahorn, bypassing Celebi, Tsareena, and Guzzlord while granting it neutral coverage against rain answers such as Gastrodon. Despite these traits, Drednaw faces competition from Kabutops as a rain sweeper, as it has similar coverage to Drednaw while boasting utility in Rapid Spin and Aqua Jet. Life Orb allows Drednaw to OHKO the likes of Reuniclus, Galarian Weezing, and specially defensive Registeel with Liquidation, and Milotic after minor chip damage with Stone Edge. Shuca Berry allows Drednaw to more easily withstand Ground-type moves from the likes of Flygon and Gastrodon while being able to threaten them out with Liquidation and Megahorn respectively.

Politoed is a must-have for Drednaw, as rain support is required for Drednaw to perform to its highest capabilities. Other rain sweepers such as Seismitoad, Kingdra, Ludicolo, and Tornadus make for excellent partners for Drednaw, as they can assist Drednaw in breaking through opposing defensive Pokemon. Klefki can be a secondary rain setter that can set up Spikes for Drednaw apply more pressure to defensive Pokemon. They help it more reliably break through rain answers like Gastrodon and Seismitoad while also letting it reliably OHKO Milotic with +2 Life Orb-boosted Stone Edge. Toxicroak is a good offensive partner, as it can switch into Golisopod while appreciating Drednaw's ability to break through Gastrodon and Seismitoad. It can also effectively lure in Crobat, allowing Drednaw to switch in and begin breaking through teams.

Drednaw has a couple of key traits that give it a niche on rain teams as a Swords Dance sweeper. Its Speed tier, while unimpressive outside of it, is quite solid under rain, outspeeding Choice Scarf users such as Flygon, Heracross, and Rotom-C. It also boasts access to Megahorn, letting it bypass Celebi, Tsareena, and Guzzlord Roserade while also granting it neutral coverage against rain answers such as Gastrodon. Despite these traits, Drednaw faces competition from Kabutops as a rain sweeper, as it has similar coverage to Drednaw while boasting amazing utility in Rapid Spin and Aqua Jet. Shuca Berry allows Drednaw to more easily withstand Ground-type moves from the likes of Flygon and Gastrodon while being able to threaten them out with Liquidation and Megahorn respectively. (It's important to mention the KOs Life Orb achieves that Shuca/Lum misses out on, like the OHKO on Reuniclus, specially defensive Registeel, Galarian Weezing, and the KO on Milotic after SR. Rain-boosted Liquidation for the former three and with Stone Edge for Milotic.)

Politoed is a must-have for Drednaw, as rain support is required in order for Drednaw to perform to its highest capabilities. Other rain sweepers such as Seismitoad, Kingdra, Ludicolo, and Tornadus make for excellent partners for Drednaw, as they can assist Drednaw in breaking through opposing defensive Pokemon while appreciating Drednaw's ability to get through Gastrodon. (Only Kingdra (maybe) cares about Gastrodon being gone.) Hazard setters such as Klefki, Steelix, and Roserade Klefki can be a second rain setter and sets Spikes to let Drednaw apply more pressure on to defensive Pokemon whilst helping it more reliably break through rain answers like Gastrodon and Seismitoad, while also letting it reliably OHKO Roserade Milotic with +2 Life Orb-boosted Stone Edge. (Toxicroak's a notable mon to take up, as it switches into Golisopod trying to revenge kill Drednaw and appreciates Drednaw breaking through Gastrodon and Seismitoad, while also being a mon to take advantage of Crobat with.)

QC 1/2, Lum can prob be dropped idk what it helps Drednaw with that Life Orb or Shuca doesn't do better.
