[SET COMMENTS]
Dracozolt functions as a decent wallbreaker mostly in part thanks to its signature move Bolt Beak, which doubles in power when Dracozolt moves before its foe or hits its foe on the switch. Bolt Beak is backed up by more attacking options in Dragon Claw, a decent secondary STAB move, and Fire Fang, which offers Dracozolt coverage against Ferrothorn and Excadrill. Low Kick might be used as an alternative to Fire Fang; it has merit in boosting Dracozolt's Attack during Dynamax but misses out on damage output against Ferrothorn. Substitute enables Dracozolt to take advantage of its typing by capitalizing on Pokemon like Rotom-W and Ferrothorn. Hustle provides Dracozolt with more firepower, compensating for its initially rather mediocre Attack and making Bolt Beak even more devastating; this comes at the cost of its moves' accuracy, however. Leftovers prevents Dracozolt from being worn down too quickly. An Adamant nature maximizes Dracozolt's wallbreaking capabilities.

Entry hazard support from the likes of Excadrill and Ferrothorn makes Dracozolt even tougher to switch into; the latter can also provide Thunder Wave support, letting Dracozolt hit first more often. Sticky Web support from Ribombee also helps Dracozolt overcome its rather poor Speed and fire off the first hit more frequently. VoltTurn support from the likes of Rotom-W, Rotom-H, and Corviknight helps Dracozolt get on the field safely and start wreaking havoc. Pokemon that are good late-game such as Gyarados, Dragapult, and Hawlucha enjoy Dracozolt dismantling opposing defensive cores.

Someone posted in the Dracozolt thread in the OU subforum an EV spread that always allows its Substitute to survive against Rotom-W’s Hydro Pump, Ferrothorn’s Gyro Ball and Power Whip, among others. I think such a spread should definitely be considered as it really does improve its consistency against the type of cores Dracozolt is meant to break.

Yea, I made that spread. Still has plenty of power (got replays if needed). It also walls non-EQ Gyarados which is really handy. When Grassy Terrain Rillaboom comes out, it'll be a pretty darn good partner.

Did some EV fiddling for a more defensive Dracozolt set that still aims to punch a lot of holes while checking and setting up on stuff like Corviknight, Rotom-Wash, Ferrothorn, and Pex. Also, I think Rillaboom would be a good partner for this set, but I'll have to try it out later.

Dracozolt @ Leftovers
Ability: Hustle
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Atk / 20 SpD / 148 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Bolt Beak
- Fire Fang
- Dragon Claw / Outrage

The HP and SpDef EVs mean that standard Ferrothorn's Power Whip and Gyro Ball, along with Rotom-Wash's Hydro Pump, never break your sub barring a crit (Pex needs 2+ Scalds). Non-EQ Gyarados is also countered by this set (EQ Gyara is countered assuming that you can both Dynamax, or Gyara can't). Fly and Waterfall don't even break your Sub, while at +1, they're still only doing ~35%. Even a +1 Supersonic Skystrike and +1 Hydro Vortex are doing under 70%, and +1 Earthquake only has a ~43% chance to OHKO. Corviknight's unboosted Brave Bird isn't breaking your Sub either.

148 Speed EVs hits 223 speed, which outspeeds the now-standard 60 speed Rotom-Wash by 1 point, which means you also outspeed stuff like Ferrothorn, Galarian Corsola, Toxapex, and most Corviknight. And since you outspeed all of them, Bolt Beak becomes base 170 power. Rest of the EVs go into Attack, which lets you do things like using Bolt Beak to KO Rotom-Wash after Rocks and casually 2HKO +2 Corviknight, and Fire Fang does 75% minimum to the standard Ferrothorn. Dragon Claw is strong neutral STAB, and with Hydreigon and Dragapult everywhere, it's solid. Outrage is okay too, but it's better on a more offensive spread since even with Outrage, you're still not 2HKOing Hippowdon with this spread, and being locked into Outrage on a relatively slow Pokemon like Dracozolt can be very dangerous, especially in the age of Dynamax.

This set is running Leftovers because of the bulk investment. While Life Orb turns some 2HKOs into OHKOs (Rotom doesn't need Rocks to be gone, Ferro is OHKO'd), and some 3HKOs into 2HKOs (Hippowdon with Outrage), IMO that's better suited for a set with less defensive investment. This set is more for longevity and checking things like Gyarados/BU Corviknight and setting up on common stuff like Ferro/Rotom/Corviknight and punching big holes in things to let your sweepers clean up. It's not uncommon to not lose any health from subbing on Rotom or Pex or Corviknight, and do a lot of damage in return.

for now I'd prefer to keep things as straight forward since these are previews @ above but thanks for the input, we'll keep it in mind for the full analysis

That aside, mention Low Kick as an alternative to Fire Fang which doesnt hit Ferro quite as hard but in exchange allows it to boost its Attack while dynamaxed. Adamant should be the main nature slash, u want all the power u can get

move 2: Outrage
this should be Dragon Claw. replace all mentions of outrage w/ claw, change what needs to be changed for those.

----

Dracozolt functions as a wallbreaker in the metagame, whose 170 BP Bolt Beak, which is so powerful only if Dracozolt moves before the foe or hits on a switch, deals insane amounts of damage even to resistant targets and allows it to pose a big threat to many common defensive backbones.
this is worded really weirdly in general. you could cut a lot of fluff by rephrasing to something like "Dracozolt functions as a decent wallbreaker in the current metagame, mostly in part thanks to its signature move Bolt Beak, which doubles its power when Dracozolt moves before its opponent, or hits its opponent on the switch." you can just copypaste this or change it to just reflect this, your choice really. then you wanna talk about it doing a lot to even resisted hits and what not
Low Kick might be used as an alternative to Fire Fang: it has a merit in boosting Dracozolt's Attack during Dynamax but misses out on damage output against Ferrothorn.
move this section after the Fire Fang section and before the Substitute section.
Hustle provides Dracozolt with more firepower, compensating its initially rather mediocre Attack and making Bolt Beak even more devastating.
talk a little bit about how the miss chance should be noted but ultimately is preferred.

----

i think the partners section is overall a bit lacking. i'd add a section about VoltTurn to include Corvi and the Rotoms, before the Gyara section.

Late-game cleaners like Gyarados and Hawlucha
i'd reword this to something that is more "pokemon good in the late game" type of style in order to include Dragapult in here.

good job overall, 2/2

Bolt Beak is backed up by more attacking options in Dragon Claw, a decent secondary STAB move, and Fire Fang, which offers Dracozolt coverage against Ferrothorn and Excadrill. Substitute enables Dracozolt to take advantage of its typing and capitalize by capitalizing on Pokemon like Rotom-W and Ferrothorn. Hustle provides Dracozolt with more firepower, compensating for its initially rather mediocre Attack and making Bolt Beak even more devastating; this comes at the cost of all its (optional, feel this change reads less awkwardly though) moves' accuracy, however. Leftovers prevents Dracozolt from being worn down too quickly. An Adamant nature is the nature of choice in order to maximize maximizes Dracozolt's wallbreaking capabilities.
