Pet Mod Döppelgangers v2

Congratualtions to lolgod3 for winning Anti-Heatran!
Pokémon: Anti-Heatran
Typing: Ground
Ability: Flash Fire (no hidden ability)
New Stats: 69 | 140 | 80 | 76 | 135 | 100 (BST 600)
New Moves: Thousand Arrows nope
Reasoning: ok so thousand arrows earthquake hit Heatran and basically 1 taps it in any scenario, and with the 135 special defence and 69 (nice) HP it could easily live a flash cannon or two. It's lackluster physical defence is it's main downfall, as it could be easily countered by most physical attackers (ahem weavile)
Here is a new poll for Slate 4, the last one only allowed people to choose 1 option so this one should work! https://forms.gle/YqQQisaDJmQBNPwF7

Ok, the results are in and the new slate is...

THERE IS NO THEME!
:swsh/corviknight: :swsh/dragapult: :swsh/volcarona:
yep... I really had no idea
Anyways, Corviknight is an absolute CRAZY defensive mon, with U-Turn, Roost, and Defog all in its arsenal, Dragapult literally shoots its babies out at mach speed (and has both Dragon Dance, reliable dragon stab, a insane specs set, and status spreading with Will-O-Wisp and Hex combo), and Volcarona has Quiver Dance (that's the only thing it really needs), but also has Roost, Giga Drain, Psychic, and Heavy Duty Boots to protect its... feet?

Anyway, slate starts now!

Pokemon: Anti-Corviknight
New Stats: 90 / 55 / 100 / 110 / 65 / 75 (BST: 495)
New Abilities: Rattled / Levitate / Forewarn (Total: 6)
Typing:

New Moves:
Relevant: Thunderbolt, Thunder, Volt Switch, Discharge, Grass Knot
Flavor: Electro Ball
Removed Moves: All Steel moves minus Flash Cannon, Steel Beam, and Iron Defense, U-Turn, All Flying moves minus Air Slash and Hurricane, Bulk Up, and Agility

First off, let's take a look at how this beats Corviknight. Anti-Corviknight is an amazing pivot that can deal with Corviknight very easily, due to its lesser special bulk, Anti-Corv being faster than it and also being weak to the Electric type as well. Rattled helps deal with Corviknight's only pivoting move, U-Turn, as it can increase its speed and making it a very fast threat. This is also due to Anti-Corv's high 100 / 110 physical bulk. 65 Special Defense is really low, however regular Corviknight does not want to run special movesets at all due to its abysmal 53 SpA.

Next up is how it fares in the current metagame. Anti-Corviknight carries a crippling weakness to special Ground-types like Nidoking due to its abysmal 65 SpD, however, with Levitate it completely ignores it and gives it zero weaknesses, which is really crazy. Grass Knot helps it against these Ground-types, and even if you aren't running Levitate you can still utilize Rattled and punish Knock Off / U-Turn users. There is another downside to this, and that this thing is SLOW. 75 base speed does outspeed Corviknight, however Anti-Corv can make use of its low speed by the previously mentioned Rattled and outspeeding some other things, like Slowtwins, Skarmory, and a few more. Overall, a strong Pokemon if you let it in for too long, however it has its weaknesses like having a very low SpD stat and if it's not running Levitate, it is pretty weak to Ground-types.

Pokemon: Anti-Volcarona

Typing:

New Moves:
Relevant: Liquidation, Aqua Jet, Flip Turn, Spirit Break
Flavor: Aqua Tail
Removed Moves: All Bug moves, all Fire moves except Flame Charge, Calm Mind, Facade, and Morning Sun
252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Spirit Break vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 81-96 (26 - 30.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO (Blocks +1 SpA from QD)
252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Liquidation vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 372-438 (119.6 - 140.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Flip Turn vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 264-312 (84.8 - 100.3%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Wild Charge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 131-155 (42.1 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

+1 252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Flip Turn vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 392-464 (126 - 149.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Wild Charge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 196-231 (63 - 74.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Volcarona Bug Buzz vs. Soundproof Anti-Volcarona: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 SpA Volcarona Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Anti-Volcarona: 80-95 (23.4 - 27.8%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Anti-Volcarona: 60-71 (17.5 - 20.8%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Anti-Volcarona: 120-142 (35.1 - 41.6%) -- 80.2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Anti-Volcarona: 90-106 (26.3 - 31%) -- 11.3% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Anti-Volcarona is a perfect counter to regular Volcarona in many ways. Even though Anti-Volcarona has only 50 base speed, it can still kill it with a single Liquidation. Soundproof blocks one of Volcarona's best STABs, Bug Buzz, while Spirit Break prevents Volcarona from getting the +1 SpA from Quiver Dance. Oh, and if you're wondering about Giga Drain...

252 SpA Volcarona Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Volcarona: 136-160 (39.8 - 46.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Volcarona: 202-238 (59.2 - 69.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Still not gonna make the cut. Sorry! (Gonna write how this fares in the current metagame soon)

+6 252 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Volcarona: 167-197 (44.6 - 52.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
Overall, I wanted this pokemon to completely wall Volcarona when it hasn't set up. Cursed Body can prevent spam from Fiery Dance, but this thing can also OHKO volc with an uninvested Stone Edge. It's got utility for purposes outside of walling volc, and can also setup its own Quiver Dance, but its special attack is significantly weaker and it is much slower. It can use Meteor Beam/Power Herb + Magician to steal a foes item after clicking that move.

might do more later, struggling on the other two (this is actually a tough mod to submit for)

Calcs:
0 Atk Corviknight Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 252+ Def Corviknight: 109-129 (21.7 - 25.7%) -- 1.2% chance to 4HKO (9 - 10.6% recoil damage)

+6 252+ Def Corviknight Body Press vs. 0 HP / 252+ Def Corviknight: 155-182 (30.9 - 36.3%) -- 61.1% chance to 3HKO

0 SpA Corviknight Heat Wave vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Corviknight: 110-130 (27.5 - 32.5%) -- 69.4% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Basically all this does is make Corv not want to do anything back to you, as it will take a good bit of damage doing so while not really threatening you back, however the threat you pose is small enough that it may not immediately switch out, which is a good opportunity to take advantage of your good match-up. You can pressure it with Heat Wave or simply pivot out yourself with a slower U-Turn. The bulk is basically that of Corv but adjusted so that the opponent takes a bit more from any Brave Birds they might use. Did you know Corviknight has Nasty Plot? I guess you can use that.

Removed Moves: all Flying moves, all Fighting moves (yes it has more than just Bulk Up and Body press), all Steel moves except Iron Defense, Hone Claws

Gonna make these straight to the point or else I'll get ahead of myself again lmao, anyway due to Corviknight's mediocre special defense then it's pretty obvious to attack there. AntiCorviknight can punish Corviknight for switching in and will be faster than it depending on the EVs. Dark Pulse also has a nice chance to flinch too.
You can also use Night Daze to have a 40% chance to lower its accuracy. And this move is pretty useful against other mons too. (i checked to see if this move was only for a single legendary mon but thankfully Zoroark line learns it besides Lunala so it's kinda fair game.) AntiCorviknight can also get off a free Calm Mind or Nasty Plot depending on the situation.

252+ SpA Mega Launcher AntiCorviknight Dark Pulse vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Corviknight: 210-247 (52.6 - 61.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Mega Launcher AntiCorviknight Dark Pulse vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Corviknight: 313-370 (78.4 - 92.7%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Successful Nasty Plot
+2 252+ SpA Mega Launcher AntiCorviknight Dark Pulse vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Corviknight: 418-493 (104.7 - 123.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA AntiCorviknight Night Daze vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Corviknight: 148-175 (37 - 43.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs AntiCorviknight Night Daze vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Corviknight: 222-262 (55.6 - 65.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

As for defensive against Corviknight, since i doubt that there's room to setup:
0 Atk Corviknight U-turn vs. 160 HP / 0 Def AntiCorviknight: 49-58 (12.6 - 14.9%) -- possible 7HKO
0 Atk Corviknight Brave Bird vs. 160 HP / 0 Def AntiCorviknight: 124-147 (32 - 37.9%) -- 94.9% chance to 3HKO
0 Atk Corviknight Iron Head vs. 160 HP / 0 Def AntiCorviknight: 84-99 (21.7 - 25.5%) -- 0.5% chance to 4HKO

Power Trip sets need setting up, so it's only minimum damage. And there's no need to explain Body Press against a Ghost type.

Removed Moves: all Dragon and Ghost moves, Scald, Brine, Solar Beam, Will-O-Wisp, Infestation, Fire Blast, Flamethrower

Seeing the other entries made me really confused on what to do with Dragapult. I mean, Fairy is definitely a good check offensively and defensively so that's why I kept it in. But I kept stressing about U-Turn because Dragapult is incredibly fast until I decided on something.

You beat speed with higher speed.

Choice Specs Dragapult is guaranteed to be outsped by AntiDragapult. And if they decide to go with a Choice Scarf set then they're going to sacrifice power. Hex sets can be countered with Guts, and with Anti's Electric typing it'll be immune to sets with T-Wave. And if the opponent decides to manually switch Dragapult out, Anti can U-Turn in the next turn. (lets be real here, you wouldn't use volt switch on Anti with that terrible special attack. this is why we need more physical electric moves). Since it doesn't have any ground moves, it's best bet is Shadow Ball on switch in which doesn't even kill through a crit.

252 Atk AntiDragapult Play Rough vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Dragapult: 354-416 (111.6 - 131.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk AntiDragapult Spirit Break vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Dragapult: 294-348 (92.7 - 109.7%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO

Removed Moves: all Fire, Bug and Grass moves except Flame Wheel. Calm Mind, Light Screen, Wild Charge

I'll be real here, it was hard to do Volcarona especially when the other submissions (shoutout to the entry below me with their Fire/Dark Anti its great) were already fantastic. So I just decided to keep the theme of "just outspeed it". You have Gale Wings Anti who can easily OHKO Volcarona with a Brave Bird if Volc QD'S during Anti's switch in and doesn't deactivate Gale Wings. And if Volcarona does decide to attack on the switch in, Anti will outspeed and kill it with either Brave Bird or a Rock type move. And of course, U-Turn and Roost is self-explanatory for Anti. It's special bulk, speed and attack are great at the cost of its low defense. Emergency Exit is just something fun.

252 Atk Gale Wings AntiVolcarona Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 156 Def Volcarona: 426-504 (114.2 - 135.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Volcarona Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Volcarona: 96-114 (29.9 - 35.5%) -- 28.2% chance to 3HKO

Finally done!!!! i ended up making this longer than it should be lmao and Pokemon Damage Calc made me recheck Corviknight like six times because apparently I got the stats wrong so whoops. its fixed already ofc. This was very fun nonetheless hehe

Pokémon: Anti-Volcarona
Type: Fire/Dark
Ability: Soundproof
Stats: 90 / 120 / 70 / 80 / 120 / 70 (550 BST)
New moves: Knock Off, Stealth Rock, Boomburst, Payback, Crunch, Fire Lash, Parting Shot, Snarl, Dark Pulse, Throat Chop
Removed moves: All Bug type moves but Struggle Bug and U-Turn

Description: Fire/Dark not only keeps it safe from burns and Fire type moves, it also renders it immune to Psychic, a move Volcarona tends to run to overcome its counterplay (cough Toxapex). Soundproof also gives an immunity to its main Bug coverage, Bug Buzz. A physical bias also ensures it can easily annoy Volc even after multiple boosts, most notably Knock Off ensures it's going to eat its SR next time it comes in, assuming it dares to stay on this, and U-Turn also upgrades the match-up if you predict the opponent is going to switch out, to keep momentum and all.

New Stats: 100/100/100/40/86/69
Type: Flying/Electric
Abilities: Pickpocket(0), Unaware(3), Reckless(3.5)
New Moves: Wild Charge, Spark, Volt Switch, Thunder Wave
Removed Moves: All Steel Moves, Body Press, Nasty Plot
Calcs (Using Corviknight OU Defog Set):
Unaware Offense: 248+ Atk Life Orb Corviknight Wild Charge vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Corviknight: 265-312 (66.4 - 78.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
Unaware Defense: 168+ Def Corviknight Body Press vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Corviknight: 37-44 (10.9 - 13%) -- possible 8HKO
Reckless Offense: 248+ Atk Reckless Corviknight Wild Charge vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Corviknight: 240-284 (60.1 - 71.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
Reckless Defense (I was even nice and gave Corv Bulk Up): +2 168+ Def Corviknight Body Press vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Corviknight: 73-87 (21.6 - 25.8%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Reasoning: Hey look at that, a physical Corv counter. Minor speed buff lets this outspeed normal Corv sets, but this gets Twave in case it somehow doesn’t. Pickpocket is essentially a throwaway ability, but the other two are where it gets interesting. Everyone knows that a big factor in Corviknight being so good is its ability to stack Bulk Ups. What if something ignored that? That’s where Unaware comes in. With Unaware, Anti-Corviknight can ignore all offensive and defensive boosts from Bulk Up (and perhaps set up its own). Even without setting up, Unaware sets take 8 turns to be defeated by Corv while Corv can get beaten in just 2. Your other option is Reckless, which is a bit less defensively viable but gives Wild Charge a must-needed boost to go against literally anything else. Given that I got rid of Body Press and made this mon’s primary damaging moves recoil moves, I left Roost in for potential recovery over time. I also gave this Volt Switch because I could see the merit in a good Choice Item set for this mon.

Anti-Volcarona
New Stats: 85/100/85/60/105/115
Type: Dragon/Water
Abilities: Long Reach(0.5), Soundproof(2)
New Moves: Dragon Claw, Liquidation, Aqua Jet, Flip Turn
Removed Moves: Giga Drain, Psychic, Calm Mind, all Fire and Bug moves
Calcs:
Offense (against bulky OU set): 252+ Atk Life Orb Volcarona Liquidation vs. 248 HP / 156 Def Volcarona: 382-452 (102.4 - 121.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Defense (against offensive OU set): +1 252 SpA Volcarona Psychic vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Volcarona: 145-171 (46.6 - 54.9%) -- 66% chance to 2HKO

Reasoning: Now this is a funny mon. Starting with its abilities, Long Reach eliminates all chance of contact, and Soundproof renders this mon, well soundproof. These two abilities effectively nullify base Volc's ability, with Long Reach preventing Flame Body Burn and Soundproof granting immunity to Volc's best Bug move: Bug Buzz. About Volc's other stab, Anti-Volcarona's typing means fire moves deal a quarter of their normal damage. This makes Volc's best offensive bet a psychic, which even after a Quiver Dance takes 2 turns at minimum to beat Anti-Volc, but Anti has an OHKO move with full offensive investment in Liquidation, or if you don't want the full investment you can use Liquidation into Aqua Jet. That said, Anti-Volc will outspeed a full speed investment Volc with just 252 in speed. You also get Dragon Claw for your other STAB, and Flip Turn for pivots (Choice Scarf/Band sets?)

24 hour warning!!!

A note: So far, I have been seeing a lot of really bulky Pokemon, which are kind of scary. I understand that this slate features two very threatening attackers, so I will be trying to give advice.

Pokemon: Anti-Corviknight
New Stats: 100 / 35 / 110 / 110 / 65 / 75 (BST: 495)

New Abilities: Soundproof / Long Reach (Total: 2.5)
Typing:

New Moves:
Relevant: Liquidation, Aqua Jet, Flip Turn, Spirit Break
Flavor: Aqua Tail
Removed Moves: All Bug moves, all Fire moves except Flame Charge, Calm Mind, Facade, and Morning Sun
252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Spirit Break vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 81-96 (26 - 30.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO (Blocks +1 SpA from QD)
252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Liquidation vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 372-438 (119.6 - 140.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Flip Turn vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 264-312 (84.8 - 100.3%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Wild Charge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 131-155 (42.1 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

+1 252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Flip Turn vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 392-464 (126 - 149.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Wild Charge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 196-231 (63 - 74.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Volcarona Bug Buzz vs. Soundproof Anti-Volcarona: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 SpA Volcarona Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Anti-Volcarona: 80-95 (23.4 - 27.8%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Anti-Volcarona: 60-71 (17.5 - 20.8%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Anti-Volcarona: 120-142 (35.1 - 41.6%) -- 80.2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Anti-Volcarona: 90-106 (26.3 - 31%) -- 11.3% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Anti-Volcarona is a perfect counter to regular Volcarona in many ways. Even though Anti-Volcarona has only 50 base speed, it can still kill it with a single Liquidation. Soundproof blocks one of Volcarona's best STABs, Bug Buzz, while Spirit Break prevents Volcarona from getting the +1 SpA from Quiver Dance. Oh, and if you're wondering about Giga Drain...

252 SpA Volcarona Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Volcarona: 136-160 (39.8 - 46.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Volcarona: 202-238 (59.2 - 69.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Still not gonna make the cut. Sorry! (Gonna write how this fares in the current metagame soon)
Your Anti-Corviknight is extremely bulky, especially with Levitate giving it no weaknesses. My reccomendation would to either take some HP or Defense and put it into Attack. As for your Anti-Volcarona, I would check out abismal's Anti-Volc, which has less HP but more Special Defense if you want it to be less bulky on the physical side.

Poison Heal
100 / 80 / 110 / 100 / 110 / 100
New Moves: Play Rough, Dazzling Gleam, Draining Kiss, Fairy Wind
Removed Moves: All Dragon- and Ghost-type moves.

descs coming later but yeah
Poison Heal is too much on this with 100/110/100 bulk. Possibly tone the bulk down a bit and replace Poison Heal?

TBH I'm not a fan of some of the options here, but there's really nothing better to pick (like, there's only three Anti-Dragapult subs, lmao), so I'm just going to spend two segments of voting per anti-mon class this time, if this isn't allowed just tell me or so.

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Anti-Volcarona: 118-139 (30.7 - 36.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Fire Lash vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 175-207 (56.2 - 66.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Anti-Volcarona Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Volcarona: 211-250 (67.8 - 80.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
RedwoodRogue for winning Anti-Corviknight!

Anti-Corviknight

And Regic Boat for winning Anti-Dragapult!

Now, I know the mod has been going... a little slowly. (I don't do well with deadlines and I'm very sorry). So, to try and expand the mod a bit and get some help, applications to become a council member are now open! Just PM me on Smogon or Discord (EeveeGirl#4174) and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Also, check out the Discord server! It's quiet, sure, but maybe it could be livened up a little? https://discord.gg/YMRXGcrtAH (tell me if this expires btw; it shouldn't but who knows?)
