Creative Dream World Counters to Common Threats

We all know that threats in Dream World can seem pretty overwhelming. Sometimes it can be difficult to patch up a weakness to a certain threat. This thread will explore counters (hopefully creative ones) to common dangerous Pokemon such as Excadrill, Chandelure (to an extent, of course), and Keldeo. It's ok if a Pokemon you suggest is strictly a counter to one common Pokemon, but even better if it can deal with other common threats as well. Inventive sets or underrated Pokemon will be added to the OP.

As a reminder, a Pokemon must be able to switch into any common move from a threat and still win in order to be classified as a counter. Everything else is a check or soft counter. In the case of Chandelure you may assume Shed Shell or another Shadow Tag mon is switching out if you wish. Entry hazards may also be assumed, just don't go overboard. If your Pokemon isn't a strict counter that's ok, just be sure to note that.

To start us off, one of my personal favorite answers to Chandelure.


Snorlax @ Leftovers

Another fun mon designed to fuck up Chandelure. Chandelure can't do dick to this thing, so Snorlax can easily KO it as it flees with Pursuit. STAB Return hits pretty hard, though Double-Edge is also an option if you don't care about longevity. Superpower fucks up Tyranitar and Heatran, but Fire Punch nails Genesect and Ferrothorn, so it's dependent on what your team has more trouble with. Ice Punch is for smashing Gliscor and making sure Dragonite / Garchomp don't get cocky and try to set up on you. The EV spread probably isn't optimal, idk. Either way Snorlax has some insane special bulk going for it so it's really handy against sun and rain teams.

Well, this is definitely creative. In any case, this Parasect is supposed to take on common threats. Keldeo, Thundurus, Breloom, Rotom-W and rain teams in general are all common threats and thanks to its typing combined with Dry Skin Parasect can take them on pretty solidly. Thanks to Leech Seed, Dry Skin and Protect, Keldeo isn't 2HKOing Parasect with any move it has even after a Calm Mind or if it's a Specs set. Thundurus can't 2HKO this at +2 even with Life Orb if it doesn't carry Hidden Power Ice, and if it doesn't have a Nasty Plot up Parasect can take Hidden Power Ice solidly as well. Breloom's STAB moves are both resisted and even at +2 with a Life Orb it can't KO with a five roll Bullet Seed. Unless it rolls a minimum of four times with good damage rolls it can't 2HKO either, and Mach Punch never 2HKOes either. Rain teams without something with a powerful Ice Beam or Hurricane also have problems with this guy, since it heals with Dry Skin and also is immune to Water-type attacks. This guy is best used in rain for more recovery, and it is also able to stall with SubProtect and Leech Seed, similarly to SubProtect Gliscor, and also has Spore to take down Breloom and the likes.
